Dreams Unlimited........

What if you book a year in advance as most do, and the TA goes out of business. Does Disney honor your ressie?

I booked with them for our 5-19 land/sea trip. 1st I was impressed cause I called them with questions about booking with them and within 15 minutes my call was returned. All my Ps's were made and at wonderful times. My only complaint it that they seem to be slow answering emails. (well, at least my agent as it seems) Now I am awaiting our itinerary. After that I am so ready.

We've used DU twice for booking cruises, and have been happy both times. Always very prompt at responding to email.

When you book a cruise with DCL thru DU, your downpayment and any subsequent payments go directly to DCL; so in the very unlikely event that DU were to go out of business you still have your reservation.

I officially booked my cruise today, but I cannot tell you how many emails I sent those poor people and not one went unanswered, and most were answered within minutes! I did lots of researching and DU had the best price, aside of cruisesonly.com, who were willing to beat it by about $20 (I had to work hard at getting her to beat DU's price). I personally had a very nice and attentive TA at cruisesonly, but I've heard from others that they don't really have it together, so I booked with DU. I think they are extremely accommodating and don't forget that if a better deals comes around, you will get it. Some agents wouldn't bother to tell you about it or give you the better deal.

Does DU have their own Insurance they offer, or do they only offer Disney insurance?

I used Dreams for my February 2002 cruise, and am using them again for my February 2003 cruise. I have nothing to say but good things about them.

We use Dreams a LOT (right now, I think we have 10 or more future DCL bookings through them, and goodness only knows how many we have done in the past). It's nice to book with fellow Disney fanatics who know the ropes. I always recommend them to visitors to my website who are looking for an agent. Their rebates are great, and they always give great service...on numerous occasions they have found a special deal that reduced the cost of trips I had booked through them. They do that automatically...it saves me the hassle of watching for specials on my own. I would recommend them wholeheartedly (and don't worry...in the very unlikely event that they went out of business, your ressie would be fine as Disney is the one who holds your money).

As I understand it, everything they do for DCL is done directly with DCL, so if you chose the DCL cruise option, the insurance is via whomever DCL uses.

This is our first time to WDW and our first Disney cruise.
I booked it all with DU and they have been great!
I usually get a response to my emails right away....
No problems so far!:D

I booked our land/sea in October and our 7 night in January with DU. I booked my own $99 per night voucer cruise myself, but after getting off the phone from DCL, wished i had let DU do it--I did let them book the other 4 cabins for my family members who are traveling with me. The only "problem" was in gettting my rebate on the first booking--I paid by check, and it took a little bit to straighten out and get the rebate. Second trip I used by credit card and had no problems at all.

We've used Dreams Unlimited twice. First for a Disneyland vacation in Febuary and also for our upcoming cruise. They have been great, always answered my e-mails promptly and as Barb stated they find the best deals and will get them before you even have to ask.

We're looking at booking a 7 day western for 2003 while on board, but I will definately transfer the booking to Dreams. They are the best!

They are really great. Last night I got my itinerary. I am so amazed. Everything we do has the consideration of my 2 and 4 yr old. Let me just say that I never had any urgent questions that needed prompt questions. All my questions were answered that I had. Just not always prompt. I do know that my agent had an illlness in her family so yes that was understandable.

My itinerary is 17 pages. Tips and advice looks like a lifesaver. A lot of things were out of her hands because disney kept changing their hours. I am sure that disney isn't finished either.

I ordered my land and cruise from dream unlimited. It is best experince I had with travel agency. They always take time to answer your question . quickly and accurately.

I have rather mixed feelings about Dreams Unlimited. Last March we did the Magic Eastern Carib and booked thru my husband's manager who is a travel agent on the side, just in case he would ever get laid off from his real job. All I read on these boards were basically positive comments on Dreams. With no hesitation I booked a May 2003 Western Carib cruise thru them, not even checking out anyone else. I booked an inside cabin last July (2001) for May 23, 2003. Thought nothing of the price, just over $3200.00 for 3 people in a cat 11 on deck 7. After doing the Carnival Pride this past April and having an inside cabin I decided to see about a cat 8 with at least a window, wanting to be higher up and more midship(so no cat 9) and the price I got was I thought rather high, over 3700.00. I started to look at the disney website (the end of April 2002) and got a price of about 3100.00 for 3 people for May 24, 2003. This is with no cruise insurance and no transfers since we will drive down for the north Atlanta area. I asked the agent at Dreams to double check my booking to see if maybe she had me in for insurance and transfers and she said the booking had no insurance or transfers. I gave her another chance and asked about an 7, she gave me a price of over 4000.00, while Disney directly gave me a price of 3371.00 just over a $100.00 from Dreams cat 11 to Disney cat 7. Unfortuanately I cancelled the reservation with Dreams and booked with Disney directly for a cat 5 on deck 7 for $3771.31 for May 24, 2003. I never even asked how much a cat 5 would be through Dreams. I am so happy to finally get to have a vendranda for the week. I will say that the travel agent at Dreams did respond to my emails very, very quickly, I was very impressed with her quickness on that. I know that they offer rebates but even with the rebates I still would have paid a lot more with Dreams than booking directly with Disney. I was very reluctant to respond to this post because with very few exceptions all I have seen on this board are very, very positive responds about Dreams in over a year and a half of being reading and posting on this board and my is kind of negative. When I cancelled the booking with Dreams I didn't say anything about booking with Disney, my husband said not to even go there as he said I did give her the chance to give me the same price as Disney when I asked to confirm if the Dreams booking had insurance and transfers. Sorry to give a negative opinion on Dreams, I really wish that I didn't have to. From everything I have seen you expect a travel agent to be cheaper(or least the same price)as Disney no matter how far ahead you book. Also sorry this is long but I am rather wordy. Please don't berate me for having a negative on Dreams but unfortunately I do.
