In this episode, John, Kevin, and Pete continue to discuss their Alpine Magic Adventures by Disney trip they embarked on in Fall 2016 that took them to Northern Italy and Switzerland, including seeing the Matterhorn!

In case you didn't see part 1 of this 2-part series, you can find it by clicking here.

Enjoy the show, everyone!

Fantastic job, everybody! Enjoyed this as much as I did Part I, and wish I thought I could physically and financially do this - Switzerland (and the Alps) has always been a "bucket list" of mine. Thank you SO much for sharing this with all of us!!

Yeah ... it's worth it to take advantage if you can swing a trip to the region. It's spendy to be sure, but I still can conjure up a mental image of the Matterhorn in full sunlight and I think I last saw it in 1979. I've never made it back to Switzerland, but that one time was absolutely memorable. If we measure travel in memories and experiences, that's definitely one not to be missed.

What a great show! This brought back so many wonderful memories of this truly magical trip. I want to do it again!

I laughed at the memory of trying to remember where I had put my purchases so the customs officer could fondle them, lol! This trip was amazing, I would recommend it to everyone.

Haven't watched this episode yet, but agree with my fellow travelers that this was a very memorable Adventure.

Sounds like it was an amazing trip! I wish there was a way to just see the pictures, since I listen but don't watch the podcast. I'll have to put this one on the long list of ABDs yet to come!!

I listened to this and was hoping for a link to a picture gallery in the show notes, but I didn't see it. Does such a thing exist? I can't usually watch podcast videos.

Both parts of covering this trip were very well done, very entertaining.

Brought back some fond (and not so fond) memories of traveling to Switzerland (my company is headquartered there so go for work periodically).

We did a social event once like the fondue story they describe - but on steroids:
- first, we had to hike up to the top of the mountain where the chalet was. (And I mean mountain - people were skiing down as we were going up - took about 2 hours)
- Then we had tons of fondue (which, like they said, had a bunch of wine in it) along with a lot of wine and kirsch to drink
- After dinner, at this point it was dark, so they gave everyone a head lamp and a 2-foot long ski with a seat on it and pointed you down the mountain and said good luck

As an American the part that amazed me the most was that I didn't have to sign a waiver or anything

I have some pictures in my trip report of this DIS ABD:

Day 1 starts at the end of page 1 in Stresa.

It was an amazing ABD and great to relive it through the podcast.

Last weekend I spotted a bottle of Aperol at a restaurant. It brought back fond memories of hanging with everyone drinking Aperol Spritzes in Italy.

@Cousin Orville - Just read your trip report, and luxuriated in your pictures. Normally I'd not have paid attention to something I will probably never be able to do - either physically, or financially - but the 2 part podcast had me so enchanted, I decided to indulge. Just wanted to say thank you SO much for taking so much time and effort to make reading and viewing this adventure an absolute delight!!

Thank you so much. Your photos and report were fantastic. The podcast was great but I find it sometimes has a cynical, jaded overtone that can be off-putting, and your take was honest yet positive.

I'm sorry (as a person named Regina) that the Regina Palace wasn't all that, LOL. The Matterhorn pictures reminded me of our trip to Costa Rica where every time the clouds cleared away from Arenal Volcano I took a million pictures.

I was also interested that you hired a photographer in Italy. I was thinking of doing something like this, as I am going to Ireland in May and staying at Ashford Castle. I would love to get some professional shots there in fancy dress.

When we were in Dublin last year we hired a photographer through Flytographer.com. It's a nice souvenir. I hear Ashford Castle is spectacular.

Thanks! It was really an amazing trip. If I could click my heels, I'd say there's no place like Zermatt. There's no place like Zermatt.

You know, I think I saw that trip report! That's what gave me the initial idea, then I saw someone else had done it on a blog. Your Italy report was the third time I saw the idea and I was starting to think fate was telling me something.
