Dreams Res System question

Hi,
I was thinking about getting our room online through the Dreams Res system.
What happens if you get the room online and want to change something on your reservation later?
Can you call the hotel directly, or does Dreams Res have control of your reservation?
Thanks so much for your reply.
Sandy

I'm pretty sure you need to contact whichever agent booked your rooms. We have a Land/Sea vacation booked through Dreams, and if we need anything changed or have any questions we just e-mail our agent and she does it. We even added an extra night which she did with no problem! We have found that they respond to requests very quickly.
:D

Dreams will take care of anything you want to change. They are GREAT!

I recently switched my DCL reservations to Dreams. The switch went smoothly AND I received $100 off the price I was paying. I then added on POR reservations. They also obtained tickets to Cirque for me and made PS reservations. This was all done by e-mail. NO phone calls. I can decide at 3 a.m. what I want, e-mail them and it is taken care of the next business day. Their service is wonderful! You are assigned your own travel assistant to work with.

You can make changes through Dreams. It doesn't pay to go through the hotel directly as you won't get the personalized service you do with Dreams.

I will echo these comments. I used Dreams for my upcoming trip and they secured reservations at the nurse rate...when I couldn't even find availability going through the hotel :D

I have made changes twice  but both times I just emailed my agent and he took care of it for me.

Good luck with your plans :D

i have used dreams for this coming trip but also have a hotel confirmation number and have changed directly with the hotel. Dreams is fantastic, email and within 24 hours its a done deal.

Just a quick question. Do you still receive a confirmation in the mail from Swan/Dolphin, or do you just get an e-mail from DU confirming your reservation? Thanks.

Just an email confirmation from Dreams.

If you go to the DU site and request a quote and it is cheaper than what I currently have, can I give them my current reservation number and transfer it to DU or would I just cancel what I have with CRO and book with DU from scratch? I thought I read somewhere that you were able to transfer current reservations to DU but I'm not sure where I saw it.

I've heard so many great things about the agents at Dreams I was thinking of giving them a try.

I also recommend DU. The are wonderful to deal with. They handle everything for you. Any changes you need to make, they take care of them.

I actually got to meet my DU agent and her family this summer at a Dis Meet. She convinced me to change my reservation adding a day to the beginning and saved me $800. She also ended up getting me a AP saving me another $800. I would have missed out on the AP rate if it had not been for her. The day I leave is the last day for February's AP Rates.

I will never go through anyone again other then DU. I also recommend them to all my friends and co-workers.

Just before you leave you have a complete itinerary with all your information. Plus pages of tip. All you need is to print it up.

DU is the best. :)

Just to clarify, the Swan and Dolphin are booked through the DreamsRES system and transfers are not accepted for the hotels booked through this system.

For the other Walt Disney World resorts Dreams does accept transfers. You can contact webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com for details. :)
