Dreams Came True! Hearts Soared! WE Became Part of the Magic!-COMPLETED. 5/19 NEW TR LINK

So my first thought was Jafar? I'm never good at guessing these though :blondmoments:
Hahha nope!!

That is just not right! You shouldn't have to pay for hot water! The only thing I can think of is maybe those cups have the chip in them to limit the number of refills?
That's Scoop! I've heard that he pin trades on Main Street and usually has some really good ones. But I've never run into him to trade.
Me too, so pretty! I was relieved that they kept the statues because I would have missed visiting Pluto.
Man I'm so bad at these I have no idea. My first thought was Gaston but I know that's not right.
My guess was that they're the "insulated cups" like she did offer me a small regular cup...but whatever. lol
Oh! I've never seen him pin trade, but i have seen him around a lo
I love the area so much!
Lol, good guess but no.

LOVE all your early morning pictures, gorgeous!
I'm glad Kara got to meet Ariel and Eric in her costume:)
Cute pics with Cinderella and Rapunzel.

Thank you!!

So happy you got to meet up with your old friends! I did see a little resemblance between you two (I might have gotten confused from afar but definitely not close up!). I guessed Lady Tremaine as your Disney bound look but I'm way off lol Is Disney bounding now banned at the parks? I think I heard that multiple layers and full costumes are banned now.

Hahah, yeah, from afar, or with a camera up, it could definitely be confusing.
Nope! Lol.
And definitely not! They would never be able to ban disneybounding because it's far too easy to do it accidentally. There've been days I've been in the parks and pointed out people and we'll guess if they know they're bounding or not. Same thing with my bound from today, not a lot of people got that I was even bounding, so how could they ban that? Multiple layered costumes, and costumes in general are banned for ages over 14 on a daily basis & there are some more specific rules in place for MNSSHP but thats it

A Cup of Curioisi-tea

Since I had more than enough time to kill, I took a stroll through “New” Fantasyland;

And stopped in to see a Mermaid! She was cute, and signed my book for me, commenting on the title page and asking about my year in Disney and where I was living now. Pretty sure she said something about how cold the oceans are up in Canada so she never went that far!

I strolled back over to the teacups and spent some time chatting with Kara while I waited for them to come out. I realized I’d left my Alex & Ani bracelet’s on my water bottle on the table, and my ankle was bothering me, so I asked if she could pick the bracelet’s and my tensor for me!

I saw Alice and the Mad Hatter come out to start their set, and there was an adorable pair of little girls in calling out to Alice to say hello. It was super adorable because I knew what was going to come next, and the girls were being super polite, just waving from the stroller, not smothering or anything. The pair stopped to talk to the girls, and took the older one by the hands to lead them onto the teacups with them! YAY! (I’m pretty sure the younger one didn’t want to ride). They took some pictures after and the younger one was still pretty hesitant to get in on any interaction, but at the last minute went RUNNING into Alice’s arms for a big hug and it was just too cute!

We spent some time chatting about the book, and Alice was just excited that we actually got to see each other during my visit!

It was honestly a BEYOND AMAZING and SO TERRIFFIC interaction that I WISH I had more details written down! I think I was just in such an excited state to actually see Alice again, there was just a lot of giggling and catching up! She suggested we do something fun for our pose & should pretend we were the Cheshire Cat!

Kara said she was pulling up on a bus, and that she had my tensor but couldn’t find my bracelet’s (I’d only said they were on the table so that’s probably why).

We agreed to meet for Trolley, but since I was without Alex & Ani’s for the day, I made a pit stop!

1545636_10156748404135647_9091006760461170127_n.jpg

Yup. #needed. My splurge for the week lol! Upon exiting emporium I literally ran into Kara and we continued up Main Street for Trolley’s first stop while we caught each other up on our mornings! Kara’d stopped at the front desk to talk to the daytime manager, and said that she was A MILLION TIMES BETTER than anyone else we’d tried to deal with so far. The manager had been legit upset that Kara hadn’t been able to take any pictures so far, and promised she’d do everything she could to find her battery, and if she couldn’t, SHE’D GET KARA A NEW ONE. Seriously. Disney magic. Finally. She also took down Kara’s number to call her if anything came up!

It was then time for Trolley! Again, super exciting, especially since there were some different faces from the day prior!

After Trolley Cassy came over for hugs and chatting and to sign my book, we told the kids we’d be back for the 10:10 Trolley, and made our way to Starbucks for a pick me up! Shortly after, Becky arrived! We’d been chatting at Fantasmic the night before how there was EMH that morning, so I updated her on the fact that they didn’t scan my hotel band at all, she could’ve come! (maybe it’s because I didn’t do any rides?) Coffee in hand we ventured into the future for a visit to Tomorrowland!

The Dream, IT'S COMING TRUE

Our Tomorrowland destination (once the coffee’s were finished) was the Peoplemover of course! Half the time it’s the only ride in the Kingdom we even end up on! Lol. That was about all we did before we headed back to the Hub area, and ended up running into another Canadian! She’d ran the 5k that morning, we spent some time chatting and Kara tried to pawn off her extra ½ marathon entry on her, lol.

It was then time to dance our butts off in MiSi! Which I have absolutely zero pictures of, so have some other pictures from during our program.

It was hilarious to see Shannon as she completely danced her way past us and then did a huge double take and got super excited! Lol.

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

We danced it, moved it, shook it, and “played” it, glad to see the songs had changed, although we didn’t know what any of them were for the freestyle bit…weird. I think we ended up taking a bathroom/water break here, and ended up catching Dream Along just after it had started so we watched from further back!

They called out to everyone to say “tell us about your dreams!” and Kara shouted “I want my camera battery back!” Again, no photos so these are old ones, bahaha.

About halfway through the Princess scene, Kara disappeared, she reappeared by the end of the show, and THEY HAD FOUND HER CAMERA BATTERY!!! AHHH!! DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE!!! Lol. We found it to be rather hilarious that she’d wished it during Dream Along and gotten the call right then. The manager said it was being taken up to the room right as they had spoken! YAY! We got in contact with Abby, but she was already gone from the hotel, so Kara debated on what to do next. Luckily she had some time to think since there was another Trolley happening!

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

Despite them not having the Trolley, it was still magical, as they walk from stop to stop instead of riding so Tori & I held hands and strolled our way from stop 1-2 and it was just super cute.

We debated what to do next and as much as I LOVE it, I’m still confused on how we ended up at Country Bears at this time of the morning. Lol. It really is one of my favorite attractions, its just so FUNNY. On our way out, Kara decided that she was going to skip the 12 o’clock Trolley so that she’d had time to run back to the hotel & back with her camera in time for FoF!

It ended up working out nicely since that was the time for my Anna & Elsa fast pass anyways! I scanned my band and was let it, and they turned Becky’s blue to green so it was all good!

We left Arendelle and all the talk of chocolate had given us a rumbly in our tumblies! We decided on Columbia Harbour House, and it was BUSY!! We wandered through the entire restaurant before I found a table, but no chairs. Luckily there were only 2 people at the 4 top beside us so we stole their extra chairs. As we looked around I found that there seemed to be a lot of that, people eating, but had extra multiple extra seats around the table…le sigh.

I varied from my usual grilled salmon to get the battered fish with broccoli. The fish was alright, the batter was SUPER heavy and crunchy, not much fish tasting, but hey, I shoulda known lol. The broccoli was awesome though!

I'm in. I never got to read a CM TR before. Or a past CM TR. I love how you know so many CM's.
I never knew there was that many Trolley shows. I think I saw one in my 10 years of going to WDW and it was a Easter Trolley Show.
We were at WDW a week before you. I have a picture of myself in a hoodie, winter coat, head band. It was 29 degrees and warmed up to 50 degrees, with 40 mph winds.
I was comfortable, but I never thought I would have a winter coat on at the MK.

I love your report! I have a friend who was one of the dancer/performers at Disney but he has since left. I always kicked myself for never getting a chance to visit him! It sounds so fun to catch your friends in the middle of the magic!

Great pictures and interaction with Alice & Mad Hatter!

I'm so glad Kara seemed to have talked to a better manager who was willing to help! AND that they ended up finding the battery!

Sounds like a great morning watching all the Disney Entertainment!

Hahah yay! Glad you're here!!
Haha yeah!!! They typically do 4 stops a day, and change per season, it's a great time! I was super worried about it being super cold when we were there! I'd been watching the weather and was stressing out, especially with the outfits we had planned!

Thanks!!! I'm seriously in love with the pictures!! It was an amazing meet and greet!
SO much better! This manager was the only upside of the whole thing!
It was!!

Yaaaaarrrrrr!

With our bellies full and the feeling to move on since CHH was SO CROWDED, Becky & I continued on our adventure! We had a fp for POTC so we figured we’d head over that way, but naturally we got distracted! One of my (originally) Instagram friends was working over at Pirates League and I’d never even seen inside so we popped in to see if she was working and she was!

First of all, I WISH I’d taken more pictures inside because it’s seriously the most wondrous thing in there! The themeing is WONDERFUL, Becky & I both commented on how awesome it was and how it was totally something we’d both want to do while we waited for Carrie to come over to the lobby! She was super excited to see us, apparently she’d had a lot of visitors and it was super slow in the League today so that was a good thing! We chatted for a bit about how awesome it was in there, and then she quickly asked her co-coordinator something and came back with a surprise! She was going to give us our pirate names!!

I WISH I HAD VIDEOD THIS BECAUSE IT WAS AWESOME AND HILARIOUS.

Carrie had us spin the ship wheel that was attached to a box to start off to discover half of our names, and then I’m pretty sure it was our birthday that helped finish the name!

12800237_10156757361140647_2162311951785617066_n.jpg

We both did it, and got our names, mine was “Eliza Pillagefish” bahaha, awesome. She had us go through the pirate oath, which was another hilarious experience, and then she had some AWESOME letters that said we were officially part of the crew! We also got pirate tattoos on our hands, because what’s a pirate with no tattoos?!

There! You can read Becky’s name on her scroll! It was just such a fun experience that we had no idea was coming, a nice little set of magic for us! We took some selfies with Carrie and I gave her one of the little thank you cards since she’d made such a magical memory for us!

12729235_10156748404065647_5694466366548550742_n.jpg

While we were leaving the League, Kara texted me to say she was back so I let her know where we were and Becky & I took turns running to the washroom while we waited! Throughout that whole experience we’d ended up missing our FP, and it was getting too close to FoF to want to try and risk standby, so it was back to Frontierland for us! It was also super exciting because KARA HAD HER CAMERA BATTER BACCCCCKKKK!!! WHOOT! She could take pictures again and all was right with the world!

While we were waiting in our usual spot, Hattie, who’s a character attendant ran over to say Hi and we caught up for a bit, then Miranda (who you might remember from previous TRs) showed up! She used to live in Florida & work for Disney but had to move back home because #money but had worked the Macy’s Parade at Universal the past 2 years, I had NO CLUE she’d stayed in Florida after this past year’s parade so we were SUPER EXCITED to catch up and chat while we waited for the parade to come by! Another friend of Kara’s, Lindsey, who’s currently on a CRP program working merchandise came and hung out with us too. She said it was “super cool” to be actually seeing the “work behind the magic” as it were of Kara & I’s photography, lol, super cute.

Anna was super adorable, trying to catch the “snow” on her tongue, like too cute!

Floral maidens are probably my favorite part of the parade, the bright colors, the choreo involves lots of twirling, they’re derpy, cute, and hilarious all in one! I was also super happy to get to see Paige (above) as often as we did! She tours with Disney Live! And was in between tours during our trip, she’s already off in Japan now!

Ugh, now these next ones are NOT my usual editing style, again, there some that I uploaded to flickr without editing, not thinking about the trip report, I promise they get better over the next few days! Rapunzel was adorable anyhow. She even smouldered for us!

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

The following one I took the link from Instagram so here’s more what they look like when I have a better editing app than flickr… (also im not sure if this will work…)

The adorable sea shell, and of course Ariel, I think she must’ve seen someone with a mustache and pretended that’s what the dinglehopper was for?

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

Jaimie was the most adorable highland, as per usual. We also noticed that the highland dancers weren’t doing their choreo, they were just walk & waving, so naturally, Kara & I blamed Becky since she said things always went wrong when she was around, bahaha!

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

Untitled by Katt mccluskey, on Flickr

We talked about doing the double FoF as per usual, but I’m pretty sure we skipped it in order to make it to a meet and greet on our way OUT of the park. Or if we did, it was just too crowded at Barbershop to bother with pictures?

Once Upon A Dream

Our last very important task of the day today was to see Aurora, partially because Kara & I were bounding as Briar Rose & Prince Phillip, and partially because it was a really good day to see Aurora. We managed to get into her line with not much of a wait as the parade was just finishing up.

You can see some Disneybound flaws in that picture, bahah! Kara had purple tights to bring that colour into play but didn’t realize she hadn’t brought the proper shoes to go with the outfit! I however had spent AGES looking for the right colour leggings, before realizing that my top was actually a dress and tights would work, imagine my surprise when I opened my tights in Florida to find they were footless… #derp. Aurora & I had some princess twin chats, mainly about how long we were here, and if we were coming back anytime soon, and probably something about how she should be wearing blue and not kicked out of the parade, epcot, fairytale hall, the usual chats.

The meet & greet was honestly PERFECTION! It took up just the right amount of time, we didn’t feel rushed or like we should be wrapping it up. I’m very particular with Aurora, and this meet just hit the spot. Her voice was absolutely perfect and she was just FABULOUS.

Kara & I said goodbye to Becky as we parted ways, she headed back to housing and Kara & I hopped onto a bus for Downtown Disney (I realize we probably all walked over to the contemp together….)

Pearl & Abby had been at the expo that day, and were meeting us at DTD after some shopping, Kara & I had gotten there a little early, so we opted to sit on the patio at the “qs” area of Ragland Road! We’d spent a LOT of time at Ragland while we were tipped on the program, the food is delicious, the beer selection is awesome, and the flights are cheap! It’s also one of the few places to find a good amber beer on property, so I grabbed one of those while we waited. Kara was just happy to be resting her feet for a while! Her boots from yesterday had really taken a toll on her feet, and then the 5k that morning, nevermind the fact that she had a 10k & ½ marathon to run over the next few days! Tips of advice from her: keep that in mind, keep park walking to a minimum and make sure you feet are used to your shoes!

Your time at the Pirates League sounds so fun!

Love all your parade pictures!

I'm glad it was such a great interaction with Aurora!

What a fun start to your trip already! I'm excited for you just reading about it! I remember following along on your trip report for your program a little before. How sad you can't continue on....stupid green card! Hopefully you get that all sorted out!

Hey ya'll!! So the four of us were talking the other day about all the videos/vlogs we want to make in the future, and how Kara's one from the program was awesome, so we sent her all the video clips and she threw this together:
Enjoy!!!

Pearl & Abby found us on the patio, I’d ordered my beer to go, so we decided we’d try to check in early for our reservation!

Yay! Morimoto! We were all super excited for it, I’m pretty sure Pearl had been there before, but it was a brand new place for the rest of us! We checked in and were seated pretty quickly, in a nice little semi private table, half booth! We’d all looked at the menus online so we knew what we were going to get for drinks!

12742582_10156748404000647_7205991114051266471_n.jpg

Naturally we got a carafe, since it’s the price of 2 glasses…we were also VERY pleased to see that the GLASSES had the ice in them, and the carafe was just the sangria! Throughout the meal we each had 2 full glasses and then they made me finish it since I wasn’t running the next morning (and was going to a birthday that night, but more on that later). It was SUPER delicious, fresh, and not too heavy liquor tasting! Though we did notice it had mostly settled to the bottom, so make sure to stir it before you pour it! It was especially worth it for the value! I mean, we got 10-11 glasses out of it! Nice!

Our server came around a few times asking about appetizers and spieling things, we asked a few questions over some of the dishes, and he was nice enough to answer them. I do remember us finding him a little odd…can’t remember if it was just awkward, or like, he tried some jokes that failed or if he was pushy towards certain things..maybe a combo? Either way, we all got appi’s.

I got the spicy salmon roll, which was amazingly delicious and fresh!

12745835_10156748403960647_4988887514367851725_n.jpg

Kara got the…egg rolls…? I can’t find anything on the MDE app that would match this so maybe it’s gone now? She liked them either way.

For our mains I’m pretty sure we all got different versions of ramen, I chose to go with the Duck Ramen to try something new!

https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/12743998_10156748403865647_4935388689807490639_n.jpg?oh=d076d7e68904bc2a613f4284c3e03485&oe=575C4C21[/img]

Something to know about traditional ramen is it is really nothing like the completely trans fat full noodles you buy at the store for 30 cents! It was SUPER yummy, fresh and delicious, a little heavy on the salt, and I even enjoyed the duck! Everything about this dinner was amazing. We opted to not have dessert at Morimoto, and ended up adding tables in wonderland to our bill and all threw in cash to settle it the easy way.

Now, since I was trying to save as much money as possible for this trip, I’d budgeted out everything, and even divided my cash into separate envelopes for each day. I’d WAY over-budgeted this meal! Even with looking through the menu beforehand, I don’t quite know how, but we all did! It ended up being WAY cheaper than we thought it would be!

Overall we REALLY enjoyed Morimoto, the food was more authentic than other places, and all super delicious, we loved the variety of different foods they had, and the sake sangria was so good! The value for the price was awesome, and the service was good! Ambience was also pretty great for us! We had pretty much no complaints aside from whatever the server did that was weird, but seeming as I can’t remember exactly what it was, Morimoto gets 5/5 from us!

We had wanted to check out the Hanger Bar since it had been open, so we kinda took a walk through the place but it was PACKED full of people, so that was a no go. Neat to see the inside of it finally though! Our next stop was the new Ganachery where we each got 3 pieces of chocolate. THEY WERE SO GOOD! Seriously! The sea salt one was BEYOND amazing, Abby & I wished we’d gotten way more!

We stopped in a few other places on our way back through the market place, also discovered that Ghirardelli wasn’t sharing samples today! Don’t know if that was a permanent thing #budgetcuts or not? Eventually we reached the end of the Marketplace and we split up. Kara, Abby & Pearl headed to the bus to get an early as possible bed time so they could get up to run the next morning while I stopped in the kitchen store to pick up a bottle of wine, and walked over to the Hilton to get an Uber from there. The downside of this? Hilton’s don’t have free WiFi, so I had to turn on my phone and use my roaming data…UGH…so pricey.

I spent the rest of the evening at Kate’s house for her birthday just hanging out with a few friends, having some wine and watching Anastasia, which we also played a drinking game too. Bahah. One of the friends ended up driving me home that night too so I only had to Uber one way!

Up next..some MORE MAGIC KINGDOM…are you surprised?

Our third day began BRIGHT and early for the other 3, we’re talking, they were up and gone around 3:00am…I however, had gotten HOME at like 2/2:30am…#responsible. I had originally been planning on making it for rope drop and doing some solo stuff like the day before, but due to a lack of sleeping, I chose to ignore my alarm when it went off. By the time I decided I should actually get up, the girls were done with their 10k and were nearly headed back to the hotel, so I figured I’d wait for them and we could all head out together! They Disneybounded/Dressed up as FOF for the race! Kara was Swan Court, Abby did the Floral Maidens, and Pearl did the Cha-Cha, SUPER CUTE!

It wasn’t too late by the time we were on a bus and headed back to the Magic Kingdom!

I WISH I had a video to show you just how excited Abby was to finally be getting back! She had yet to be in the parks at all yet and was about to EXPLODE from excitement! She got super excited and flailed when she saw the monorail track for the first time, the MK sign, like, everything, it was so cute!

Surprise! Our first stop was the Trolley Show again! The Winter show is basically everyone’s favorite, so we needed to make sure we saw it, especially since we’d missed the first one!

Kasey (my “twin”) was out watching again today, she’d posted the photo on facebook and we’d had a SURPRISING amount of people be all “I legit had no idea you weren’t the same person for so long” bahaha. Jenna, (right above) commented that she was guilty of it and we had a good laugh over all of, especially when Thomas (also right above) looked over at Kasey, looked across the street to me, and then yelled to Kasey “but you’re over there!” Lawls.

We all needed a little pick me up so we headed over to Starbucks for some morning caffeine, and then literally LAID in the hub grass and just enjoyed life. It is one of my favorite memories of the trip because it was just so RELAXING and wonderful to be back in the Kingdom and to be reunited all together. We had Starbucks, the weather was PERFECTION, the sun was shining but wasn’t too hot, Dream Along was playing in the background and pixie dust was in the air.

We sat there from the time we got Starbucks, all through one set of Dream Along, and watched Move It Shake It go by from where we sat! We also waved insanely at Gene, the Emcee of the show, but he had no clue we were even over there! Lol.

During our hangouts Becky joined us for some fun, as she was off today, and was LOVING spending time with people that actually enjoyed going to the parks! Apparently that number was very small in the Canadian pavilion right now!

There was also a TON of dancing and arm bursting along with Mickey during the second Dream Along we witnessed (seriously that show runs like every 2 seconds). It was super relaxing and just super awesome to all finally be together, to catch up and to have a day that was just like we were still living in the area and doing what we love! Naturally, when 12 o’clock hit, it was time for another Trolley show. (sorry if I’m boring you…also this is the point where I start adding in Kara’s photography work as well, the hubgrass pics are all hers, and now with the performing pics, anything from Flickr is mine, anything not from flickr, credit goes to her!)

I’m about 98% sure this was the day I got a text from Tori after the 10 Trolley that she had gotten pulled to Lion King, which sucked because we didn’t have enough time to make it over to see her & get back, and we weren’t sure if we’d see her again at MK or not! A few of the Trolley kids came over to chat afterwards, including Ellona, who asked what our next couple of days were looking like. When we told her, she got all sad, and said that today would be the last time we’d see each other! Waaaahhh!!! Everyone got lots of big hugs, and we invited her out to Trader Sam’s on Tuesday since she was off, and said we’d confirm later, and then said our good byes!

The nice thing about the noon trolley, is you have just enough time to chat, and then head back to the Hub before MiSi starts! This time we joined in on the fun, and danced our hearts out, enjoying some of the new songs that we hadn’t heard before! It was a grand old time, and a perfect way to wrap up the first half of our MAGICAL day.
