I decided to write this PTR because I found myself not feeling as excited for our cruise these past few days, actually almost a slight dread has come across me (gasp!). For the last few weeks, I've been surrounded by dreary people and maybe it's started to seep into my viens, (along with a very unpleast dream about our cruise!) but I thought writing the PTR would be therapeutic so here goes.....
Cast of Characters, Me (42), my DH (44) DS (14) DS (12). This will be our third Disney cruise, the first two on the Wonder 3 night, in 2001 and 2007. When we booked our 2007, we told ourselves that it would be our last Disney Cruise as the kids would be older and we would venture elsewhere. Within minutes of stepping on board, we knew it wouldn't be our last! So we kept the Disney Credit Card going and here we are. It took us 4 years to save, but it will be worth every penny. I did wait too long to book this cruise, so the only room left was actually two connecting Family Veranda Rooms. Thinking this would be our last Cruise
I went with it, although I am looking forward to coffee on the veranda, my DH gets seasick so hopefully we can both enjoy it.
I have all my paperwork in a bright yellow folder (thinking sunshine!) and a pre-packing pile going. We are not doing the Disney parks, instead we are going to Universal/Sea World for the first time. Our hotel for the area is the Nickelodeon. My DH has already stated a few times that he WILL NOT be slimed. But what fun is that? We shall see....
We leave Orlando and head down to Cape Canaveral two days before the cruise and staying at Country Inn & Suites. Touring NASA was high on the list of things to do. Reading this DIS board I did try to get tickets through our Representative, but I waited too long. They were all taken until September. So to all those out there, ask as soon as you know your going as six months seemed to be the magic time frame.
I have my lists going too. My Things I need to buy now list. Things to buy there list. Items to pack list, my To do list, the Don't Forget list, and the lists goes on. I've picked up a few things for our FE, but since I don't know how many we FE with, I am trying hard to restrain myself. Our FE is started, and it is no where near as pretty as some that I have seen. I did make each of our FE part seperate, as my thinking was I could take it apart afterwards and incorporate it into their scrap book somehow. When I get it finished up, I'll try to post pictures.
I've talked the boys into wearing something on Pirate Night. Last cruise, only my oldest dressed up with me. But even my DH said he would wear a T-shirt with a pirate on it. Not going to push for more so I added find pirate T-shirt to my Pirate Outfits list!
Okay, after going through my folder and writing this, that old feeling is starting to come back. I'll sign off now, and do a little more packing and planning this weekend, which should bring me back to my ol' self, filled with excitement for our trip. Thanks for "listening".
