Dreaming about Disney till 2013! - A possibly way too early pre-trip report!

So, our trip may be well over a year away, but I simply can NOT contain my excitement anymore! And okay, so we havn't even booked flights or even decided on a definite date yet, but that's okay, right?

This will be our first trip to the World, and we are EXCITED BEYOND WORDS! (Well, most of us!) As we are travelling all the way from the dreary old UK, we'll be doing all the other Orlando attractions too as well as Disney. But ofc, the Mouse is the most important part. Needless to say, we are complete Disney newbies, and I, as the resident Disney-fanatic, have been assigned the task of doing the majority of the itinerary. Huge amounts of pressure! Good job I have the DIS and over a year to plan, huh. I have quite an extensive knowledge of WDW and Orlando for someone's who's never been, but this whole planning thing is SCARY!

As of now, the plan is to travel out on April 12th, 2013 for two weeks of fun and magic. It's sure to be a big change from our usual beach holiday's in Spain. This coming Sunday is the big family DISNEY PLANNING MEETING! So I'll be sure to keep you all updated on that, if anyone even cares.

I would love to join in on your planning

I'm planning a trip to WDW in 2013 as well
I found out in August 2011 that a friend and I will go to the USA for 5 weeks in 2013. At first we wanted to go in February, but now we have changed it to 7th April to 12th of May. We will spend 5 nights/5 days in WDW. And after WDW we will go on a round road trip from Orolando to San Fransisco and back again to Orlando to fly home.
I can't wait for this trip to start. So in August I started to plan our stay at WDW.
I can't wait until we can book our flight in April this year.

What resorts are you looking into at WDW?

Ooooo, how exciting for you! Five weeks, what fun!

Because of money issues, and space issues (We're travelling as a group of 8) we'll be staying offsite for the majority if not all of our trip. I'll see if I can't fit in some nights onsite somewhere in the plans though... As long as I get to go, I'm happy though!

With 8 people going I can understand you staying off-site. It will be cheaper and you will get a lot more space for a lot less of money than if you stay on-site.

For my trip I'm hoping that the offer on the UK disney site that is running now with free quick service dining plan when staying at a moderate resort will be offert next year for the dates we want to go. Since I live in Norway I will be able to use the UK site when booking our stay. I have not decided 100% which moderate resort to stay in, but I'm leaning towards Port Orleans French Quarter because it's the smallest resort of the moderates. It also looks like that resort is the cheapest one of the moderate ones.
But I would like to stay at Coronado Springs resort and Caribbian Beach resort. The down side with these resort is that they are very large.
