Hello everyone! I have a big favor to ask of anyone sailing the Dream or Fantasy soon. I planned to buy the Animator's Palate Butter Knife for my boyfriend's anniversary present and I foolishly forgot to pick it up. We ran out of time and I thought I could buy it online at the Disney Store. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

I will happily PayPal you the money to cover cost and shipping if you would be so kind to pick it up for me.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you so much.

I think I saw one on eBay actually. I think I searched disney Dream and it came up in the results. Hope this helps!!!

The ones on eBay are the ones with the "some sucker will pay it" price of $89.99 and $69.99 on them.

Oo. I didn't know how much they were originally. I figured there would be a mark up but wasn't sure how much.

Oh, I was thinking this would be a great souvenir. But we aren't checking bags and I don't think it would work taking this in my carryon. :(

Both my sister and I bought one of those knives on our cruise in February. We only had carry-on luggage since it was just a 4 day cruise and we were going right home. We worried about getting it thru security but thought we would take the chance figuring the most they would do was take it away. I saw the guy at the x-ray machine in security do a double look at my bag but he never said anything. My sister got hers thru as well. I don't know if we were just lucky or that they could tell it was okay. Anyway, we both love our knives and use them a lot. I'm not saying what you should do but just thought I would share what happened to us.

Considering their as dull as, well, a butter knife, they should get through security just fine.

It is more of a spreader than a knife. It is not sharp but you never know with TSA what they may deem a weapon.

I have two that I bought at Disneystore.com. They come and go on the site.

I'm sailing on the Dream, August 22nd...PM me if you still want a butter spreader

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I looked and couldn't believe the mark up! I was willing to pay for my mistake, but that's insane!

I wasn't worried at first because I remembered seeing them at the Disneystore.com, but they are sold out and CS couldn't say if, or when, they would be back in stock :(

A little off topic, but please make sure to put these in your checked luggage. My adult daughter packed them in the carry-on not realizing they were wrapped in
t -shirts in a Disney bag. We were pulled aside at MCO and they were taken from us after the TSA agent said "It is technically a knife". I was so sad, but what could we do.

That's pathetic. With that logic, technically *anything* could be a knife if you call it a knife.

A cautionary tale: My MIL loved these on the ship so I bought one for her from the gift shop and saved it to give to her at Christmas. She thought I stole it from the restaurant.

Well, we are talking MCO here. They have some kind of superiority complex there and in my experience are more strict and picky than even the agents in the three main NYC airports where you'd think they'd be more vigilant!

One of the big reasons I drive in instead of flying to MCO. I've seen videos of their "security" lines and I'll happily skip it.
