We are off to DLP tomorrow via the Euro Tunnel.

We have been lucky to get sponsorship for our annual passes but we are unsure whether to get dream passes each or fantasy passes each or to get one of each!?!?!?! :confused3

What have you guys done in the past?

Would really appreciate some help.

Lisa

Are you staying in a Disney hotel? If you can't get EMH that makes a big difference and would sway me in favour of Dream passes. Also if you do a lot of shopping the Dream discount might make a difference to you - although you'd only need 1 Dream pass for the discount whereas you'd both need one for EMH. Have you checked the blackout days for the Fantasy to make sure you won't want to be going to DLRP on those days?

We aren't staying in a Disney Hotel, couldn't get one cheap enough.

How many hours earlier does the Parc open and am I right in thinking its only certain rights and only the main parc not the studios, or is it both??

I've checked the blackout days and they don't really matter to us for when we would be going so thats not a problem.

Hi Lisa,

Its a good idea to check out the blackout dates for the Fantasy pass, to see if they would be on any dates that you might want to visit DLRP. If the blackout days wouldn't affect you, you might be as well buying one Dream (for all the discounts, plus good discounts on booking Disney onsite hotels for your future trips) and one Fantasy.

EMH is great, but with Dream AP discounts on Disney hotels, I've found for our party of 2 we're cheaper with an onsite hotel anyway, compared with Explorers/Holiday Inn/Kyriad etc. And staying in an onsite hotel gives everyone in your party staying with you EMH anyway.

EMH gives you access to Fantasyland and Discoveryland rides from 8am to 10am, if you are not entitled to EMH you can't access and lands before rope-drop at 10am. EMH is fab for riding the rides which are open in both lands with no or very small queues (brilliant for families with small children, as sometimes its the only time of the day you get to ride Dumbo, Peter Pan etc without queues)
Buzz is open in Discoveryland during EMH, but you can also fastpass this ride later in the day.
EMH is not operating at the Studios.

Enjoy your trip,

Elaine

Thanks for that Elaine. Im not too worried about EMH for this trip we are only going to be there a day and a half, but as you say if we buy one dream pass at least we can get good discounts on the disney hotels (well hopefully anyway).

Thanks for all your help.
