Trying to figure our which cruise we want to do next year. We just got off the Magic! My kids have been on Magic, Fantasy and Wish. DH and I have been on all the ships so far....skipping Treasure for now since we dont want Eastern/Western. Will be DH and I and 12, 9 and 7 yo...maybe my MIL too.

Choices are:

Oct 2025 Dream Castaway and Lookout
Nov 2025 Dream Nassua and Lookout

Dec 2025 Destiny Castaway and Lookout

Dream Pros: Better shows, mini golf, Midship detective

Destiny Pros: Hero Zone course, new ship, better themed restaurants IMO
Cons: mainly concerned about weather for enjoying castaway and Lookout...could be nice could be cold.

Why must this be so hard. Oh the prices are comparable.

Unless you're really tied to a particular ship (which I'm guessing you're not, since you're asking this question), pick whichever has the longest itinerary. If you're concerned about weather in December, then pick one of the fall itineraries instead.

I'm surprised the prices are comparable, I would think the Destiny would be a lot more expensive (unless the Dream sailings are 7 night compared to the Destiny 3/4 nights).

All 5 night cruises!

I'd consider historic flight prices and your school calendar (we have state testing in November) if the cruise prices are close. Then consider if the cruises are HOTHS or Merrytime and if that has any value to your family. If all else fails ask the kids for their opinion. (DH and I did this when we were torn between 2 cruises.)

We are driving distance and we homeschool :). Basically it comes down to ship.

We are doing both. We have the Dream booked for early Aug 2025 and the Destiny booked for late Nov 2025.

I’m booked on that exact itinerary for Dec 2025 on the Destiny. Love the two sea days and two private islands.

However… I think I’d pick the Dream because the Dream moves to 3/4n cruises once the Destiny starts sailing!
