I don't believe you have posted on this thread before now because I don't see any introductions or anything of the sort.

I'm sorry you have missed the cut off date but I have to stick to the rules that were set.

The rule was set in place for those who are hand making gifts and I have to respect it, please understand. :)

Did you just get a reservation? If so WELCOME!

I'm a first time cruiser too! My eventual MIL has sailed with Disney twice and gives me tips here and there.

Always make sure to have some food in your stomach before you set sail from any port (with Disney that shouldn't be too hard). :rotfl2:

And an over the door organizer is great for storing your essentials. :hippie:

WELCOME by the way!

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary!!! My husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary on the cruise :lovestruc

If you PM me with your email address, I can send you a little handout I put together a few years back when I cruised with a large group of my family and friends. They were all new to Disney cruising. I think you would find the information useful and most still applies.

If you havent already, call DCL and have them put a notation on your account that you are celebrating an anniversary. They might do something special like give you a nice little desert during dinner.

During the cruise, if you are having a great time, you can book onboard for another cruise. By doing this, you get a 10% discount and an onboard credit for that future cruise.

There's different spa services, but there's a day pass you can purchase for less than $20. You get to enjoy their heated loungers, saunas, and showers.

I havent been on the Dream, but on the Wonder they have a cafe next to the adult pool where you can get specialty coffee drinks (for a price) and fancy little snacks (for free). I'm sure they have a similar cafe on the Dream.

There's adult only areas if you are interested; such as pools and lounges on the ship and beach on Castaway Cay.

There's so many more things than I just listed, but if you have specific questions, I can try to answer them.

I had a friend who went last year and said something about dressing up for halloween. Do you know anything about this? Sounds like alot of fun!

Thank you cupcake! It says I have to post 12 more times before I can email you. So when I get my posts in, I will email you my email address so that you can email me your booklet. Thanks for the info.

Curious? What kind of things do you put in the door organizer? Is it just a lack of space thing? Thanks!

it was the first time i found the thread, i was told about it over the weekend when we were given a FE as a gift for our cruise. I understand though, i can imagine how tedious it would be to have to make more handmade stuff.

Perhaps if the FE group will agree to it then I don't mind at all! Otherwise rules are rules, but you can use your Fish Extender as an excuse for another cruise! :woohoo:

I helps keeps things from cluttering and makes things easier to find, especially with children (I hear). You can stick sunscreen, aloe gel, various bottles, hair accessories and such things in them. It's really whatever you need it for. Most people will take it for longer cruises (you have more things) but DBF and I will be taking one just because I would like to keep up with things in the bathroom and keep it de-cluttered. We have a small cabin and I really don't wanna have to call Snow White in for assistance in cleaning. :rolleyes1

I've heard that only cruises that sail over Halloween do trick-or-treating on the ship, but young ones are encouraged to dress up and adults dress up for Pirate Night (which is the night we visit Castaway Cay) too! pirate:

Okay, that sounds good. No, we don't want Snow White to have to come in. The Dwarfs might not like that! LOL

Oh okay. We are going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party after cruise. I guess I just thought the whole month of October might be kind of Halloween themed. Pirates sounds like fun though! pirate:

Cruise docs arrived today!! Gettin so close!:cheer2:

We will have extra FE gifts for any latecomers, so if the room number gets posted on the final FE list, then latecomers will at least get a couple things.

Found facebook page and requested to join this a.m. Somehow missed that in the threads. Wish I had found this about a month ago. Lot of useful info!
