Hello!

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this. My family is planning a trip to Disney for February 2003. My parents are taking the whole clan (they are the best). I'm in charge of planning. Originally, my parents wanted to do a package deal. Now the packages seemed to have changed for 2003. The "budget" option package (called Dream Maker, I think) includes only three extra options: A legacy tile at EPCOT, a round of mini golf or "storytelling at EPCOT" for the kids. We aren't interested in the tile or mini golf and I have no clue what "storytelling at EPCOT" is... any ideas? If it isn't something spectacular, I'm planning on telling my folks to forget about the package and just book the hotel and get park hoppers.

Anybody know about the storytelling option?

Just forget the package and book separately. It'll come out cheaper for you. Any other questions, just PM me. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the advice - I'll check with my parents and see what they want to do!

I second the book separately. I have done all the planning for our family trip (in 17 days!!:bounce: :bounce: ) There are 7 adults and 1 child going. And I have found some of the best deals. I ;ove doing all hte planning and searching for deals, making PS ressies. If you enjoy this, you will save money and know exactly what everything costs and be able to plan according to your family. If you do not, then use a travel agent. If you need any advice, feel free to PM me or ask your questions on any board.

Good luck!

Do not book the package, you will NOT save money.
We have always booked individually, and saved much much money.

Thanks for all of your advice. We are not going to book the package. I checked into the options. We don't really want to leave a legacy or play mini golf. As for the storytelling at EPCOT... it doesn't sound that great. Basically, they have a storyteller telling the story of a Disney character and then the character comes out for about 35 minutes of autographs, etc... It is hosted at Illuminations and can be book 45 days out. There is no schedule of characters and therefore no guarantee of who it is going to be. I was told that it will only be "face" characters (characters with somebody's human face - Belle, Cinderella, etc.... - no Goofy or Mickey). This doesn't sound too interesting to us.
