Dream heading for Gulf of Mexico

I just saw that the Dream is heading to the Gulf of Mexico, and supposed to arrive on August 2nd.

Does anybody know why she is heading there? And why it just says Gulf of Mexico and not a specific port?

Hurricane headed towards port canaveral. They put the ships out to sea away from it.

Just about every passenger ship in Florida waters is headed for the Gulf of Mexico to wait out the storm. Mass exodus.
