Happy Anniversary, one day late!

The DCL itinerary out of NYC sounds nice, but I dont think we will be going on it unless maybe they go to different ports. It's also a lot more expensive than the other cruise lines that sail from here. We go to WDW every other year, so I don't see the need to go on DCL also, although it would be nice to go once. We're going to Nassau, Port Canaveral and Great Stirrup Cay (NCL's private island) on this cruise, so the itinerary is nearly identical to DCL's! The days at sea are very relaxing though, and it is nice that they give you a park hopper, but we don't go to the parks when on a cruise, since we get plenty of time there on our WDW trips, and we can't make rope drop from a cruise.

Not sure if we will be doing another cruise in 2 years when we are between WDW trips again, but if not then, we will definitely go on one in 4 years from now. I would like to go out of NY to Bermuda again. And, I would also like to go out of Florida to the Western Caribbean (Mexico, Jamaica, Grand Cayman), which they don't do in the summer from NYC. But, can't do a cruise out of Florida the same year we go to WDW...it would break the bank with a cruise plus 10 days at WDW! We would probably drive to Tampa and go to the Western Caribbean from there, since Tampa is a few hours closer tham Miami. My parents and sister are only coming to WDW for 3 nights next summer, and are talking about going on a Western Caribbean cruise on Carnival out of Miami first, for 6 nights. Then, they will meet us at WDW, and my sister wants to go to Epcot for a day, and to MK for a day.

I can't believe I missed that post yesterday! I hope you had a super fun time last night!

Regarding three nights at WDW, I could make you a reservation Tuesday if you wanted to stay at BCV, VWL or SSR. If you wanted to stay elsewhere I could still make the reservation at one of those so you knew you had a room and then in November I could try and switch it to any other DVC property. It probably would be no problem to get another property at that time of year. I own at the smallest two WDW resorts, which would be the most difficult to get into.

Talk about it with Dan and let me know. If you want a dining plan I would have to add that for you (provided you did the rental through me). I would also have to pay for it when adding it so you'd have plenty of time to think about it.

You haven't even finished your TR and you're already planning another trip!

HappyAnniversary!! Yes we did rebook our NYC cruise onboard and saved $300 on the cruise itself.. plus got a $200 OBC so we are very pleased Since we're so new to cruising we're looking forward to going to CC again and the parks..plus not having to fly since we only live an hour from NYC.

According to weather.com August and June are very similar with highs in the low 90s and lows in the low 70s, except June gets a little more rain.

On a side note, it's going to be hotter here in NJ the next couple of days than it is in WDW!

Sorry I've got nothing for you about mixing drinks...especially Brandy which I know *nothing* about. Taco bar sounds delicious though! Yum yum

Katiebell, I was actually thinking about doing Sangria! I had wanted to search for other ideas though, because it seems like i'm ALWAYS making sangria...I found this recipe which calls for brandy, ginger ale, oj concentrate, pineapple concentrate, and some grenandine topped off with orange, lime, and lemon slices I'm going to give it a try and see how it comes out here in a few minutes!

Alright folks, so we talked to my mom tonight and she loved our idea!

So as you all know, we ended up re-booking a cruise for next Summer. However, DH and I have been talking about having children for a while now and we'd like to get started on having a family. So we decided to move up our cruise to THIS December, take the 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise AND 'start' trying to have a family!!!


P.S. It might sound weird that we wanted to talk to my mom first, but it's because of two reasons...1) She's my boss, so I would need the time off and 2) she's the voice of reason for DH and I. She gives GREAT advice and she's SOOOOO happy we're doing this!! She totally agrees that we need to do one last big vacation before we have kids and this would be our last one.

What do you guys think?!

Perfect....you are so doing the right thing!! We did the same thing and after our son was born we waited to book another DCL cruise until he was 3 so he could enjoy the kids club. My son is 7.5 and he has been on 4 DCL cruises now!! Enjoy Laurie!!
