Thank you so much for the zucchini brownie recipe! I'd like to try and make them before the cruise in...23 days!!!
I have also read that butternut squash is a great addition to baked goods, without noticing that there is a veggie in there!
I kept DS6's first baby tooth that he lost Memorial Day Weekend. It was funny actually...my sister had gotten him this beautiful silver set when he was born. It has a big teddy bear, and two little containers with different labels, all made of real silver. One is "My First Curl" so I put some hair in it after his first haircut (don't laugh...OK laugh, I still do!

). The other one is "My First Tooth". When he lost his first tooth and he woke up the following morning with money under his pillow from the "Tooth Fairy," he asked me if we will ever get his tooth back so we can put it into the little container. So, I made up this whole thing...I wrote a letter to the tooth fairy (and had to show it to him since he reads and I can't get anything past him anymore!), asking if we could please have Philip's tooth back this one time, so that we could put it into the special container and save it. I put it under my pillow (showed him this too of course!), and the following morning, I was up before him and quickly put his tooth under my pillow (I had thrown the letter out the night before...in the OUTSIDE trash can!

). When he got up, I told him that we should check under my pillow to see if the tooth fairy brought back his tooth. He ran into my room and checked and was so happy to find it there!

It was very cute!
As far as cleaning, I get very lazy with it most of the time. I will admit that. I do the laundry and clean my kitchen and bathroom religiously, as well as the boys' rooms, but other things get neglected, like papers and clutter. I seem to have a problem throwing things out for some reason! DH helps out a lot around here too, especially carrying laundry up and down the stairs (washer and dryer are in the basement), and vacuuming since I have not been able to vacuum since before my surgery when I was first injured. But...I do need to have the house spotless and immaculate before I leave for vacation, even if it is a short weekend trip. There's something very relaxing about coming home from vacation to a beautiful clean home!
Enjoy your New England trip! It is beautiful up there! In 2003, BC (Before Children

), we took a week-long road trip through the New England states. Our first stop was Stowe, Vermont. We stayed there for 2 nights, went to the Ben & Jerry's Factory tour, and visited a friend who was in school up there. Burlington was also very nice. Then, we went up to Bar Harbor, Maine. That was amazing! We stayed for 2 nights, ate a lot of lobster, and we went on a tour of Acadia Nat'l Park and took a ride up Cadillac Mountain. Oh and when I say a lot of lobster, I mean a LOT!!! I mean, a lobster bake dinner the night we arrived, followed by lobster rolls for lunch the next afternoon, followed by more lobster for dinner once again! Couldn't get enough of it! There's something really cool about eating them right off the dock! Well, after they steam them of course!

Then, we drove down to Newport, Rhode Island and stayed for 3 nights, touring the mansions and enjoying the harbor. More seafood! On the way from Maine to RI, we stopped in Boston for lunch at Cheers. It was an amazing trip!
