Dream CAME true! June 21-26, 2011 TR w/LOTS of pics! Update 8/1 Day 6, Part 4

This is SUPER IRRITATING!

Just as I FINALLY decide to write the last bit of my report, PB had to come and punch me in the face with this!

I should probably just look into paying for PB now since it hates me so much. Especially since, in about 5 months, I'll be writing another TR!

Sorry guys! :sad2:

Waaah!

The same thing happened to me! Ugh, I know it's irritating cause I need to catch up on my TR, but need my pics! I may have to upgrade, too.

Great TR and pictures! Pink is GORGEOUS! You also have a great shoe wardrobe! (I am a big shoe addict). Do you have any recommendations for Remy choices? Like 2 or 3 things we MUST try? Thanks!

thank you for the great TR, it was really fun to read you and you had great pictures! :)

have a nice cruise in 4 months (mine's only in 5 months...)

Thanks so much for another awesome TR! Please let me know when you start another!

Will do tinkgurl! Thanks for sticking around! :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your trip! It seemed like an amazing time. Now I want to go on a cruise!!!

It was a marvelous trip! Can't wait for my Mexican Riviera cruise! :dance3:

Yup, I just ended up paying the $24 for an entire year with unlimited bandwidth. It just stinks when you're wanting to update and you can't without having your pictures available. If you think you'll be doing another TR within the next year, perhaps you should look into just upgrading! :)

Lulu, when you had asked the question regarding pirate night, I checked out your wedding TR and it looks FABULOUS! I'm looking forward to reading more of it. I already subscribed, just haven't said hello over there yet :flower3:

Omgosh, all my shoes were surprisingly comfortable. They were all Steve Maddens and the beige had a 4 inch heel and the black was 4 1/2 - 5 inch heel! Super comfy though and totally worth what I paid! Thanks for noticing! :goodvibes

As far as Remy goes, everything I tried was absolutely amazing. Honestly, the cheese tray is something you must try, and I can see how someone would want to skip it but PLEASE don't! They ask you briefly and when they ask you, it kind of sounds like it's not included in the price of the meal, but it is! So try it!

Ahhh, a B2B for you! Very jelly belly. How does that work, do you know? Do you have to get off the ship when you come back from your first cruise, or do you get to stay on the ship? Do you have the same stateroom? Are both the cruises a Double Dip? Geez, I ask a lot of questions! :lmao:

So there's a thread on the Cruise boards about how much you spent in alcohol, excursions, dining, tips, etc. and that got me to thinking, I should break it down just to see. So I got out my Guest Account Summary and broke it down and here's what I got:

-Excursions (Parasailing @ CC and Blue Lagoon Beach Day) X 2 = $296.00
-Alcohol (At dinners, CC, Bars, and Lounges) = $296.15
-Tips (Head Server, Server, Assistant Server, Stateroom Host) = $120.00
-Remy (with Tip) = $180.00 - Just noticed, they didn't charge us for our bottle of wine!:eek::eek:
-Souvies (glasses, purse, swarvoski earrings, 3 Shutters pics) = $214.40

Total = $1,106.55

All in all, not too bad. We didn't do outrageous excursions (which helped keep the cost down) and I can't believe we spent 15 cents MORE on alcohol than excursions! :rotfl:

I'm thinking on the next cruise, the alcohol section won't be too bad, since we'll be bringing a lot of our own.

Excursions may be a lot, especially if we decide to do the spa day (which I consider an excursion since it's just as much, if not more than a port excursion).

Tips - definitely will be more since it's two more nights. I need to find the breakdown of tips for that cruise on the boards...

Souvies - I'm hoping to buy more on this cruise. I only bought a few DCL drinking glasses, the 3 professional pictures, and a magnet. I bought mostly stuff for my mom, which is totally fine, but definitely want more things for my Disney collection.

Just thought I would share with you guys! :)

Absolutely loved your TR! Thank you for 'taking us along'! Our trip is in 30 days and I cannot wait!

This was a terrific review and we really enjoyed the pictures. Thanks so much for taking the time to share so much! We leave in 22 days and now I'm more excited than ever.

I'm so glad you enjoyed my TR and hope you have an amazing time on your trip! :yay:

I haven't been around much (ugh I need a vacation!) but this was a great report! I'm really looking forward to the your trip on the Wonder and the report you do from that. Yes take more pictures of the theaters, the boat, the buffets, I'll have to try and use that to convince Fran to go on that cruise!

I look forward to hearing all about your planning and stuff!

Alison, I'll take pictures with you in mind, hoping that it will convince Fran :goodvibes :cool1:

I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your TR. We're going on our first cruise EVER in October and are super excited. I think your pictures convinced me that I really need to try parasailing.....now if only I can talk DH into it. :)

Hi, Lesha! I am so honored you stopped to check out my TR. I am getting some things together so I can start the wedding day!! :) So exciting. Thanks for the advice on Remy. It looks like an awesome experience, like nothing I've ever done before! I used to have a Steve Madden near me when I was away at college, I have to find a store close to me now! :) I am really looking forward to your next TR!!

the questions are welcome. :thumbsup2 I also didn't know how the B2B worked, and I was a little worried that we'd have to get off the ship for a long time, or have to repack everything, etc.

I contacted Disney and they told us that we do have to get off the ship, but we are the last ones to get off, and it's basically to go through customs and we go right back on (so we get off for about 30-45 min I think). We go back on but there isn't much opened, I read that only cove café is open.

We do have the same stateroom, but it's not automatic, we had to book them ourselves. Since we have the same room, we don't have to pack and we can leave everything in our stateroom after the first cruise. We also apparently can access our room while they are cleaning the other rooms, but I am not entirely sure of that.

We are doing a 5 days double dip, and a 4 day single dip!

our first cruise it the 5 days:

1 Port Canaveral
2 Castaway Cay
3 Nassau
4 At Sea
5 Castaway Cay
6 Port Canaveral

the second is 4 days:

Day Port
1 Port Canaveral, Florida
2 Nassau
3 Castaway Cay
4 At Sea
5 Port Canaveral

When we did our 7 nights western car, Castaway Cay was my favorite place, and my husband really likes the days at sea, so for us it's a great schedule! :)

Thank you for posting, I loved your report, particularly the food porn.:goodvibes

Oh man, please try the parasailing! I was nervous at the very beginning, like, what if I slipped out of the seat, but then I watched everyone else go up in the air happy and came back down even MORE happy! Is he scared of heights?

Wow, that's awesome! It must be so nice to not have to pack up all your belongings, to find that an hour later, you have to unpack them again!

And your itineraries look amazing! Do you plan on doing excursions on both cruises or will you try to do the majority of them on the first cruise, then relax on the second cruise?

Thanks bonnielynn! :goodvibes

Tony, a TR is not a TR without some good ol' food porn :rotfl2:

We will probably not do any excursions. MAYBE a beach excursion in Nassau, but I am not sure I want to. Nothing to me seems more interesting than staying on the ship! :P

We are probably going to rent some floats and bikes on CC though. We are also planning 2 days in the park after the cruise, so we have to limit the spending. It can get very high very quickly (we found out when we got our bill after our 7 days honeymoon cruise.... ouch!) :scared1:
