By the way, thank you Toria....I love the character pictures (as you can all tell from my pictuers). It's what makes the
Disney Cruise for my girls. That, and the activities in the club.
Ok,
Castaway Cay Day! (Wednesday): We were so tired from the day before. Getting up early and staying up late that we slept in today. We got off the ship around 10:30am and headed to Cookies BBQ for lunch. It was a very good lunch.
We of course stopped for a picture on the way...
On Castaway Cay they have strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, etc. available (no charge). We used one of the strollers. Here is a picture of it....
Here is a picture of the girls at lunch...
After lunch the girls and I headed to Spring a leak. It was a nice area for little ones (ages 1-4). However, there were mostly kids ages 4-9 in there. According to a boy I overheard..."it's not as cool as it looks on tv". Here are a couple of pictures. It kept the girls occupied for maybe a half hour tops.
After Spring a Leak we headed back to find the Gma and DH. We went to the beach.
We never did make it to the water slides (Pelican Plunge). We walked over there after Spring a Leak to check it out, but by the time we finished playing in the sand/water we were too tired to walk all the way back to the water slides.
DD and DH playing in the sand...
DD taking it easy....
Here is a picture of the Dream docked at Castaway Cay....
Now the funny (or not so funny) part of our day. DN had decided to sleep in and meet us at the beach. He never showed up. We figured we'd see him later. Well, we DID! Here is what we saw walking back to the ship......
He was trying to tell us in sign language (I guess). He was unable to get off the ship without us. He's 17. Apparently, we needed to fill out a form (from guest services) and leave it with him that he was able to come and go from the ship on his own. We didn't even think about this when we left him on the ship. We offered to go back out with him or fill the paper out so he could go, but he said it was ok. He was a good sport about it. Although, he said he was bored while we were gone because nothing was going on.... : ( So, if you leave your teenager on the ship and expect them to be able to meet you later....leave the form with them.
Well, as you might have guessed it is now naptime for the DD's. Tonight is Villians Tonight! On our last cruise we (DH and I) weren't thrilled with this show....Evil being portrayed at good. However, it was DD's (age 4 1/2) favorite show this time. Go figure. It is a well done show.
Before the show we grabbed some character photos. The ones we'd been waiting on the entire cruise. Toy Story Characters! They are only on the 5 night (not 4 night) according to the cruise staff. After the show we saw Jessie. They rotate the Toy Story Characters all evening. Buzz, Woody, and Jessie.
We also saw Dopey, Pinocchio, Jimmney Cricket, and Stitch tonight.
I love the wonder in their eyes on this photo. Wish the quality of the photo was better.
After the character photos it was time for dinner in Royal Palace. Tonight Snow White and Belle came through the restaurant to wave and say hello to some of their friends. DD's thought this was great!
After dinner we decided to watch the movie Prom. It was a cute movie. Glad we got to see it. It was really late by the time it got over. We headed straight to the room and to bed.
Next up is Nassau Day (Thursday). It was supposed to be our sea day, but since the weather was getting rough the captain switched our sea day and Nassau Day. Fine with us...just thought I'd mention it.
