Dream b2b 7/29 - 8/7 Good Times & Lots of Pics!

OK, here's a stupid question:

When you do a b2b, do they let you keep the same stateroom? If you paid for the same category, etc, of course.

And if so, can you keep your stuff there, or do you still have to pack everything up and then unpack it again?

It's booked as two different cruises so you have to book the same room for both of them. If you do, you will be able to keep all your stuff in there between the two.

Mickey leading my girls by the hand almost brought tears to my eyes...it was so cute (magical).[/QUOTE]

I know what you mean-Stitch took my DS9 by the hand after we left the kids club and met up with him in the hall, we walked Stitch back to his room. It was great, he was so excited!

We did book the same cabins for both cruises. So, we were able to leave our luggage/stuff on the cruise. While everyone else is running back to their rooms to get last minute stuff out by 11:00pm we were strolling along with no worries the night before. We let our room host know we'd be doing the b2b. So, he did our room first or at least one of the first. It was close to done by the time we got back on the ship at 11:00am. The b2b day was a breeze. We didn't have to carry stuff off with us. I think we carried our bag with our passports, travel documents, etc.

Also, we tipped all servers on both cruises. We weren't sure if we should tip at the end of the second b2b or both. We tipped both. Not sure what others do. We kept the same room host and dining room servers.

Ok, the day you’ve been waiting for…b2b debarkation/embarkation day.
YAY!!!! i've been waiting for this day since you started your report!! LOL!!!
We were out of the room by 8:00am. I told you we aren’t morning people. The girls were not excited to be up yet.
this pic and your statement cracks me up!!!

So, we were off at 9:30am and back on by 11:00am. Not bad.
not bad at all!!! Thanks for the report. i hope it goes smoothly next week for us!

Yes, a b2b was wonderful. I knew I'd like it. Gma (my mother) wasn't so sure she would...she's convinced. We got royal treatment. I don't know if we just lucked out with good service or what, but our service in the dining room was the best ever! Our room host was so sweet. He'd forget things once in a while...but if we asked for something he'd trip over himself to get it for us. He was soooo nice!

Mickey leading my girls by the hand almost brought tears to my eyes...it was so cute (magical).
that would have brought a tear to my eye too!!
Thanks Mousetravle! I love to color coordinate the girls...and us too, if I can. : )
i'm like that too...and i have 4 kids!! ugh! it can be stressful...but i'm all set/coordinated for all of us for our dinners next week on our b2b!!

Enjoyed your trip report!

We got off the day you boarded and I am still going through post-cruise withdrawal.

hi i am not sure if you answered this question already but did you have to ask for the same servers for the 2 cruises, or was it automatically done for you? We didn't ask for it but I guess it would be nice to have the same servers who already know you...

thanks!

ooh...good question!!

The last day of our cruise, Aug 1st The head server asked us if we liked our server team and wanted to keep them for the next cruise. Our Server was good but the assistant server was too good to believe, she made the whole b2b great. and she'd only been on DCL 5 weeks.

Our head server asked us if we were happy with our table # and our servers and did we want to keep them for the next portion. We of course loved them and definitely wanted to keep them!

I am going to start the second half of our cruise (the five night) soon. Sorry, it's taking so long. Crazy work is getting in the way. : (

Thank you for posting the report. We are doing a B2B in december, and you answered a few of my questions.

I do have a question, do you get new KTTW cards and lanyards? We are leaving our first leg as silver, and checking back in as gold.

Thanks again

I loved the pic of your lil one talking to Snow White! The way she is holding her hands is so adorable! Great TR!

I'm back! Sorry, it's taken so long......

I left off on our b2b day. I left off with us just finishing lunch around 2:00pm. The ship was getting a little crazy/busy with all the new passengers, etc. We decided it was nap time. We put Gma and the DD's down for a nap. DH and I went to the lifeboat drill. Not sure where DN was at this point. After the drill DH finished laundry and I got ready for the evening. After I got ready we got everyone else up and ready to go.

Tonight's show was the Magician/Illusionist. DH, DN and Oldest DD went to the show. DD loved it! Gma, Youngest DD and myself went to Mars Needs Moms in 3D. It was ok...but glad I didn't pay to see it. DD loved it and was glued to the screen the entire movie! We got some snacks from Deck 11 for the show. Cove Cafe has chocolated covered strawberries a lot. Also, you can grab chips from Maters just around the corner.

Tonight we saw a few characters out and about. We saw Peter Pan, Mickey, Snow White, Belle and Remy. We of course, stopped for some pictures....

Dinner tonight was in Enchanted Garden. The Tomato Soup and Sea Bass were excellent. Here is a picture of the Sea Bass (best fish of the cruise)

After dinner we picked up the girls from the club. We stopped for a couple of photos on the way back to the room. Mickey and Pluto were in the Atrium and Goofy was on Deck 4.
Girls458.jpg

We headed back to the room for our chocolate mints and this guy....
Girls460.jpg

We then headed to bed. Tomorrow is Castaway Cay...and yes, we did get off and enjoy the island!

By the way, thank you Toria....I love the character pictures (as you can all tell from my pictuers). It's what makes the Disney Cruise for my girls. That, and the activities in the club.

Ok, Castaway Cay Day! (Wednesday): We were so tired from the day before. Getting up early and staying up late that we slept in today. We got off the ship around 10:30am and headed to Cookies BBQ for lunch. It was a very good lunch.

We of course stopped for a picture on the way...
Girls462.jpg

On Castaway Cay they have strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, etc. available (no charge). We used one of the strollers. Here is a picture of it....

After lunch the girls and I headed to Spring a leak. It was a nice area for little ones (ages 1-4). However, there were mostly kids ages 4-9 in there. According to a boy I overheard..."it's not as cool as it looks on tv". Here are a couple of pictures. It kept the girls occupied for maybe a half hour tops.

After Spring a Leak we headed back to find the Gma and DH. We went to the beach.
Girls478.jpg

We never did make it to the water slides (Pelican Plunge). We walked over there after Spring a Leak to check it out, but by the time we finished playing in the sand/water we were too tired to walk all the way back to the water slides.

DD and DH playing in the sand...

Girls495.jpg

Now the funny (or not so funny) part of our day. DN had decided to sleep in and meet us at the beach. He never showed up. We figured we'd see him later. Well, we DID! Here is what we saw walking back to the ship......
Girls496.jpg

He was trying to tell us in sign language (I guess). He was unable to get off the ship without us. He's 17. Apparently, we needed to fill out a form (from guest services) and leave it with him that he was able to come and go from the ship on his own. We didn't even think about this when we left him on the ship. We offered to go back out with him or fill the paper out so he could go, but he said it was ok. He was a good sport about it. Although, he said he was bored while we were gone because nothing was going on.... : ( So, if you leave your teenager on the ship and expect them to be able to meet you later....leave the form with them.

Well, as you might have guessed it is now naptime for the DD's. Tonight is Villians Tonight! On our last cruise we (DH and I) weren't thrilled with this show....Evil being portrayed at good. However, it was DD's (age 4 1/2) favorite show this time. Go figure. It is a well done show.

Before the show we grabbed some character photos. The ones we'd been waiting on the entire cruise. Toy Story Characters! They are only on the 5 night (not 4 night) according to the cruise staff. After the show we saw Jessie. They rotate the Toy Story Characters all evening. Buzz, Woody, and Jessie.

We also saw Dopey, Pinocchio, Jimmney Cricket, and Stitch tonight.

I love the wonder in their eyes on this photo. Wish the quality of the photo was better.
Girls564.jpg

After the character photos it was time for dinner in Royal Palace. Tonight Snow White and Belle came through the restaurant to wave and say hello to some of their friends. DD's thought this was great!
Girls555.jpg

After dinner we decided to watch the movie Prom. It was a cute movie. Glad we got to see it. It was really late by the time it got over. We headed straight to the room and to bed.

Next up is Nassau Day (Thursday). It was supposed to be our sea day, but since the weather was getting rough the captain switched our sea day and Nassau Day. Fine with us...just thought I'd mention it.
