Dream 3-night 9.4.14

Hi all! We are first time cruisers, and are very excited to be making a cruise on the Dream our maiden voyage.

The traveling party is myself, Karen, 51, my mom, Lorraine, 78, my daughter, 17, and nephew, 16. This trip is additionally special to us because we're celebrating my mom's and daughter's birthdays, which fall on 9/18 and 9/14 respectively.

Since we're a smallish party, I'd love to meet some others travelling at the same time, see if we could do a few things together. I'd be happy to set up a Facebook page if there's a bit of response, that could be fun too! Planning and anticipation are part of the journey!

Decided against Palo or Remy this time, but definitely taking a cabana at CC if I can get one! I'm hopeful, since we're concierge, and it appears we're the only passengers on this cruise!!!

Hi There. I am new to the site and sooooo excited about taking my daughter on this cruise. It will be our very first Disney cruise as well as a Surprise Birthday present to my daughter who will be turning 10 on the 5th!

I can start the FB group. I have to have at least one friend from this cruise to start the group, so if someone would PM me a link to their FB profile, I'll friend you and then start the group!

A FE is a lot of fun! How it works:

* We start a sign-up, and have a final date for sign-ups so people can have time to get their gifts together (this would probably be a 2-3 weeks before the cruise). In FEs I've done, each group is limited to about 15-20 families so it's not a financial burden for someone to participate, and if we have more families that want to participate we just start a second FE! People can then choose if they want to do gifts for just their group, or all groups.

* Someone is the FE handler - that can be me if no one else wants to do it - and puts together the lists of who's participating. When you sign up, you'll want to give the first names in your group, as well as genders and ages and also your stateroom number(s), so you know where to deliver the gifts.

* You can do one gift for the stateroom, gifts for each person, etc. Whatever you'd like! And no one should stress about whether it's homemade, store-bought, etc - it's the thought that counts!

* Each stateroom brings a FE to hold their gifts, either by having someone else make it (I bought mine on Etsy) or by making it yourself.

* Once you're on the cruise, you deliver the gifts! You can do this whenever you'd like; I typically deliver mine the first night, but you can do it whenever! It's a lot of fun to come back to your stateroom, and see what fun things you've got!
