Since the Dream is currently operating at 50% capacity (or less it sounds), does dinner take less time than normal since there's less people?
I was reading other posts here about how 2nd seating for dinner makes getting to the liquor tastings a little tight, so I was wondering if that's still the case right now with lower capacity?
..would you advise I switch (back) to first seating? I figured second seating would give me time to see one of the theater shows, then enjoy dinner, then attend a liquor tasting if possible.

This is my first ever cruise, so I'm still trying to figure everything out.

Most of the times for the tastings I have seen are 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 8pm. That’s for our sailing January 3-

Whiskey tastings were at 9:30 and 10:00. We had second seating, arriving at 8:15. We could have made the 10:00 tasting, but not the 9:30.

I just sailed on the Magic (7th Disney cruise) & meals took about the same amount of time as usual. I had second seating dinner. Getting somewhere by 10pm would have been easy for me.

We are just off the Dream! Assigned late seating (8:25) There was no problem arriving 15 minutes early for dinner on the night we had a 9:30 tasting. Worked out perfectly.

Let your service team know you have a 9:30 tasting and they'll move things along more quickly for you.
