Drawing Characters

Is there still the place in HS where you can go and learn how to draw a character??? I've always wanted to do this activity but can't remember what it's called (or I would have done a search!)

Sadly the Animation Academy at HS is closed Art of Animation has classes daily if you really want to do a class, you can probably find the schedule on the resorts board.

Darn! We are planning our 1st adult only trip... My boys were never interested in doing this!!! I should have just gone on my own when I had the chance.

Thanks for the info about AoA, not sure we have enough time to take out yo go there.... But maybe!!

I know it's not the same but Disney has posted a lot of youtube videos with the same cast members that worked the attraction teaching how to draw most characters

Piggy backing on this...while I am bummed about not being able to do the class, we bought a lovely drawing at that building last year. Does anyone know where we can at least buy a similar character drawing?

There is a store at Disney Springs - by the bus stops IRC that sells the drawings. You may also be able to use the new Disney parks shopping app to see where they are sold and even have one shipped home if you find one!

In late August, they were just starting to move many of the items like the character drawings over to the Muppets gift shop. My oldest was excited to find a drawing of Megara there and when we went to pay, the CM's were still learning the prices of the various drawings.

They also have the sketches at Art of Disney on Main Street. We let our girls get one each trip, there is a catalog of sorts, we order them and have them shipped home.

There is also an Art of Disney shop in EPCOT, on the west side of spaceship earth. There is usually an assist doing scetches in this shop.

There is a drawing class on a computer at Disney Quest. Not quite the same and you have to pay to get your picture, but it is fun.

Do they still do the classes at AoA resort and can anyone go? There is nothing listed on the Disney site that I can find.

Yes,currently classes are held in the children’s playroom next to the Front Desk at 11:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm daily.
