Dr. Seuss costume????

HELP!!!

DD is supposed to dress as her favorite Dr Seuss character for preschool on Friday and I have no idea what to do for a costume! Anyone feeling creative today?

Easiest one would be a Thing. Red feeted pj's or sweat pants. Put a number on the frong and some wild hair!

Dressing as a Who would be pretty fun, and not too difficult.

What about the Lorax?! Some yellow jammies and some crazy purple hair!! (my little sister was the lorax one year...obsessed with him she was!!) The Cat in the Hat himself isn't too hard...some black footie pj's with a white felt circle pinned or glued on the belly and a red and white striped hat...ummm what else, OH and a red bow at the neck...some white gloves and there you are!!! Of course the hat and gloves may not work for a pre schooler!!!

Ummm...I liked the Thing 1 or Thing 2 idea...cindy lou who...a pink nightie and some deely bobbers on her head and maybe a large candy cane? This is SO fun...I'm thinking of all the Dr. Seuss characters I know...Marvin K. Mooney? Purple footie Pj's...

I had a friend in college who was a Green Egg for Halloween...her roommate was Ham!

Lots of possibilities with Jammies!!!

Thing 1 or Thing 2 is the easiest thing ever to do. My nephew dressed up like them one year for Dr. Seuss' b'day at school. We just go him some red sweatpants and a red longsleeve shirt. We got some white paint and painted the circle on the front of the shirt and then in black paint we wrote "Thing 1". Then, we just got some blue hair spray and painted his hair and spiked it up all crazy! It was adorable! Would love to see pics afterwards!

We are doing the backwards and wacky clothes on Friday..they had the option of that or dress up like a character. DD6 is all excited about not having to have her clothes and hairbows match on Friday..hahaha

BTW..her name is KERI ..I just caught that in your signature!!

I'm going to have to find somehting around the house I guess since we're snowed in today. We may not have school tomorrow either so it may be a moot points. I think we have red shirt/pants so we may do Thing 2.

How about Daisy-Head Mayzie? Just a headband with a daisy sticking up on top.

Gertrude McFuzz----the bird with a one-feathered tail. You could do a feathered headband and the tail.

Horton the Elephant---carrying an egg.

Or just carry a sign that says "I am Sam"
