Dr. Jones and the Spitting Camel - Link to Alaska Cruise TR 9/18

woo hoo i won as well, dont win to many things around these parts.
:dance3::yay::banana:

that food does look pretty good i would say the ribs looked the best to me.

to bad about the cabby not a way to end the day but still was a great day none the less.

Glad you made it to dinner and enjoyed it.

That cab ride. Oy. Vey. I've actually had pretty good experiences with cabs at Disney, so I'll consider myself lucky.

So the logical tour guide quelled the inner park beast after all. Dinner looks great. Sorry to hear about the cab. That's annoying. Looking forward to more.

Sanaa looks...interesting. I've never had Indian food so I'm a little leary of it.

Hey, if you are going to go to England, you'll need to try it! It's fabulous. Come to Seattle and we can go out for Indian :)

Heck, I might make a curry tonight, sounds really yummy right now. For that matter, try the tikka masala sauce or the new coconut curry they have at costco...cut up some peppers, onions, saute, toss in some chicken breast and serve over rice. tasty!

I'm impressed that you didn't knock the cab driver out when he flipped out on you....:rotfl2:

He wasn't worth my energy.

Hey Cynthia! I'm back from the trip and trying to get all caught up. Man, the food at Sanaa sounded amazing! I wish we could have included some more interesting choices on this trip, but since my parents are not that adventurous, it just wouldn't have worked out. Next time.

Welcome back! I had fun following you on facebook. Definitely try it next time, it was outstanding!

Funny about your grouchy cab driver. My parents had a similar experience with their cab rides (made me glad we'd arranged a car). I guess the Mears people just don't have the Disney touch.

We had quite a variety of mears experiences, between our DME rockstar driver, to the crabby cab driver, to several others you'll hear about as the trip goes on. I wouldn't lump them all in with this guy for sure.

I'm amazed at your stamina that first day - up til midnight after taking the red-eye! I hope you make it to the waterpark by noon!

It was a good hour later than was good for us to be sure but it was a great day.

By noon huh?

Wait a minute aren't you the one who usually has the Cab Horrror tales ??:rotfl2::rotfl2:

No no no, that's Winkers!

Unless you count my cabbie that got a speeding ticket.

Winner winner, chicken dinner!

Taylor loved the ribs, so did Evan. Definitely melt in your mouth looking! I should have had a bite but they were on the other side of the giant table!

it was!

We did!

Well, on the positive side it woke me up enough to deal with herding all the cats to bed.

So the logical tour guide quelled the inner park beast after all. Dinner looks great. Sorry to hear about the cab. That's annoying. Looking forward to more.

Nah, Jeff's stomach quelled the inner park beast.

:rotfl:

Sanaa was fabulous!

AWWWWWW man! I am sad you guys didn't decide to ride EE. You could of used the single rider line and been cut 10 minutes off of your wait time. ;) LOL

Your dinner sounds very interesting... I've never thought about eating there but it sounds great!

The cab driver from he!! after this loooong day? Just what you needed. I hope you only gave him a $1 tip.... heck I'm not sure I would of given any tip. :confused3

Getting closer to some Meet plans- November good??

I think I know Joe's Christmas gift!

I can understand why you skipped EE. Better safe than sorry and of course the stomach always wins out. I hate being late for anything too and would have had a devil of a time throwing caution to the wind and riding.

Dinner looked fabulous. I've never had Indian either but I would love to give it a go.

Sorry you had such a crabby cab driver. Doesn't he know that there is no crying in Disney and no crabby either? I have to commend your whole group for going as long as y'all did on your first day. Can't wait to find our how long you slept the next day.

We are back. I wanted to get my TR started last night and tonight I plan on start catching up on all my subscribed TR's.

LOL! No way Kendall would have gone for single rider through, I've never attempted it with the kdis.

SO yummy! I highly recommend it.

If I'd have had exact change on me, I probably wouldn't have!

Well....I've got out of town stuff the weekend of the 5th and the 12th....crazy how things fill up! Lets figure something out though, I think you said Thanksgiving weekend was bad for you, right?

:rotfl2: Oh my kids would love that!

I am totally ready for an update. :flower3:

I am horribly behind everywhere! Crazy crazy week.

Well the really funny part is....we are ALWAYS late. Not horribly most of the time but generally 5-10 minutes. Tired and risk averse is what it boiled down too. And in Jeff's case, starving.

Dinner looked fabulous. I've never had Indian either but I would love to give it a go.
You should try it, it was outstanding.

No crying and no crabby! Darn straight. No, he didn't get the memo.

Welcome back! I'll pop over. I am SO behind everywhere this week. :(

No worries...I've only done arrival day up to this point so all is cool. I just read your last couple of pages and I realized I was all caught up on yours (good thing I took the laptop with me on vacation). :)

Hi Cynthia. I figured you must be behind if your TR isn't on the top of the first page. Just checking in to see what's up and to say that I can't wait until May. I am dreaming of BCV and walking to Epcot already, so I can't wait until you get to the YC part of your TR. Not that I'm trying to rush it or anything. :rolleyes1

LOL! well now I'm even more behind but should be able to not only get caught up this week but crank out a few updates :)

I should have an update up today though!

I can't wait for BCV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And actually, I'm excited for the Dolphin too...even though that Dolphin, is really a fish, I think they should call it the Swan and....Mahi Mahi.
