Dr. Facillier and Louis

Yesterday, I saw someone post a picture of them meeting Dr. Facillier and Louis on the Mark Twain Riverboat. I just looked on the Disneyland App and see that Dr. Facillier is meeting there again today.

Is this something they just started with the closure of the RofA? I don't remember ever being able to meet these characters in the past (other than the Halloween party) and am REALLY hoping we will get to see them during our March visit. Princess and the Frog is on of my family's favorites!!!

I saw Tiana meeting on the Mark Twain a few weeks ago when it was still running. Unless they've swapped MT and Columbia I don't think you can access MT from where it was parked last week.

I hadn't thought of that! I'm hoping it's not just for Mardi Gras.

I'm still bummed we didn't get to meet Dr. Facillier at the Halloween party this year. I'm glad others are getting to meet him now though!

They are switching them. Other than MT being wheelchair accessible, I think Columbia should be the one at he dock. It's so much more interesting once you're on the ship since it's not moving. They could still do meets in front of MT when it's parked. Not that it will matter soon once ROA is drained. It's still cool that they're trying new things by keeping the ships out and the walls down for now.

There have been RUMORS that they are considering a way to keep the Mark Twain in use after the river is drained, as a location for a Tiana and friends meet and greet or even possibly a Tiana tea party, but none of those rumors have had any confirmations yet, so they may still be in the planning stages. If people have been spotting Facilier and Louis around the Mark Twain, then I suspect they are likely to be there for a while and the meet and greet rumor is likely to be true.

I did see Facilier randomly around NOS last November, but I never knew Louis was lurking around, too. That would be nice if they had a dedicated meet and greet location, even if only temporary.

I saw Tiana and Facillier doing meet & greets (at separate times) on the Mark Twain yesterday, and I did notice Tiana and Louis strolling along Main Street later on. Very cute! One of the good things about rides being down is that they always seem to pull out some of the more interesting characters!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that they will still be out and about the first week of March! Thanks for everyone's replies.
