Shower Plans!

I had an awesome day planning my bridal shower yesterday! We got a lot done and the shower is booked for September! I cant wait! We visited several different venues- we needed a smaller room for about 40 ladies and wanted lots of windows and light, and were hoping for a patio attached as well. Here are some photos of the different locations we visited:

And here is the room we picked! It is at a local country club and has very pretty celings, windows, and a patio we can access. It is the perfect size too. I just hate banquet chairs, so we will have chair covers to pretty those up!

Next we meet with the event planner- who is doing our centerpieces, decor, and candy bar. Here are the centerpieces- we loved them! They are so pretty and fun!

For the candy bar, we are having these origami balls to decorate the table, and these fun little handmade boxes to put the candy in:

Finally, we had a cupcake tasting! They were beautiful and so so delicious! We picked 3 flavors- chocolate with raspberry frosting, vanilla with strawberry frosting, and "Pink Velvet" with cream cheese frosting. Here are some pictures!

And we will be having this stand and silver platters to display them on!

All in all it was a super fun girls day, and I cant wait for my shower!!

The venue is beautiful, I agree lots of light is a must. OOH, why must you tempt me with those pictures of the delectable cupcakes! Very classy, looks like it's coming together wonderfully.

Planning Session Itinerary!

We have our planning session booked for the end of July- less than 3 months to go, yay! It is going to be Chris and I, and my parents going and we are staying for 3 nights/4 days at Bay Lake Tower. I can't wait! Here are our plans so far:

Day 1- Flight arrives in Orlando at 8:30 am, may go visit an outside florist today, then Epcot for the day, dinner is at Via Napoli
Day 2- Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, Planning Session from 9-12, Menu Tasting 1-3, Play 9 hole golf course at 4:30 (if not too hot), light late dinner/watch fireworks at The Top of The World Lounge
Day 3- Fishing trip from the Contemporary in morning, breakfast at Kona Cafe (gotta try the Tonga Toast!), pool/relaxation day at Bay Lake pool, dinner at The Wave
Day 4- Breakfast at The Crystal Palace, spend the day at the Magic Kingdom, flight home is at 8:00 pm

My Flowergirl!

We tried on the 2 dresses on my niece last night, and while they are still too big- she looked so adorable!! Although they are both really cute, after seeing them on her I definetely think I like the pink one better. What do you all think? Not quite sure what to do with the white one- anyone need a size 2T flowergirl dress? Here's the photos!!

Those dresses are adorable! I like them both. I wish my daughter would fit into a 2T because that white dress would be perfect. Sadly, she'll be about a 3T by next year. Where did you get the dresses? Your niece is adorable too!

Love the pink dress on her, so cute! Maybe she could wear the white one for the rehearsal? Or you could always try to sell it on Ebay if she won't be able to use it.

I've been away ages and have just caught up. Everything sounds great and at 3.45 in the afternoon, at work, those cupcakes have just made me feel sooo hungry!

Can't you have both dresses - the pink as the main one and the white as a back up for her to change into in case of spilled dinner, getting hot, etc.?

Girls need to be started off early knowing that they don't just have to have one outfit!!

Hi,

I just saw that you sent me a PM asking about my bouquet (like two months ago).. I'm sorry for not replying sooner.

The description on my floral form was as follows: Round, French bouquet of hot pink roses. The price was $250, plus an additional $89 for the bling.

Ugh... it makes me a little ill to remember how much everything cost, but I loved the end result so I guess it was worth it, LOL...

Hey Amanda! I am good, I just have been studying for my boards Im taking this weekend so haven't been doing much wedding related lately. I leave for Florida on July 17th and am going to Miami for a few days first with my Mom and sister, then heading to Disney from the 21st to 24th where Chris and my Dad are meeting us. Our planning session is Friday the 22nd! I can't wait!! I will definitely have lots of updates when I get back!
