I have a question regarding the viewing fee for the Dessert Party that I'm having a bit difficutly dealing with. I'd say about 1/3 of our guests at the wedding with have AP's, when I originally spoke with DFTW they said that the only way around that was if our guests were to actually enter the park at some point that day with their pass. My question is - how is that determined by DFTW? Do they scan passes of our guests that claim to have done it? I have no problems in paying for those that don''t have AP's or didn't use a park ticket that day, but that $12.50 per person can add up quickly and easily be spent elsewhere.

Has anyone else had this question and gotten anywhere with it?

I recently got my BEO (basically the schedule for the wedding) from my planner on on the section for the DP it says that the bride and groom are responsible for making sure their guest have their AP's there so they will not be changed for them. I am not sure who checks, but i am pretty sure you will not be charged for them.

We were also told that anyone that was willing to use any ticket taht day for EPCOT would not pay the viewing fee - this included APs, park hoppers, or single park tickets only used at EPCOT. More than likely, the only people willing to use a day's park admission would be AP holders, but as long as they bring their passes, someone from DFTW will get them scanned in.

When we had ours the host who walked us from the backstage area to the SP location took all our passes, and went off with them to scan/swipe them. We got them back about 15mins later and were not charged for them!
