downtown orlando

May I ask if anyone goes here anymore? Downtown Orlando I mean.
Before I ever travelled to Orlando friends of mine raved about Downtown Orlando and all its sites and attractions (1992), I didnt find the time to go there till a trip in 2003 and was disappointed, drove up and down till eventually spotted the train and assumed we were there.
Has anything happened there since, or has it died a complete death?
Will be interesting to know.

I'm guessing you're referring to the Church Street Station complex. It gradually died a death following persistent financial losses and changes of ownership. Bob Snow, the original owner, re-opened the Cheyenne Saloon earlier this year in a bid to return the area to its former glory, but I haven't been keeping up to date with its fortunes. It's on our itinerary for our November trip, but whether or not we make it there remains to be seen.
