Downtown Disney?

I'm confused. Where is Downtown Disney? Is it a seperate admission?

Downtown Disney is right on Disney Property. Disney Transportation busses take you there, or you can take a boat from Port Orleans.

There is no admission charge. There are tons of shops, restaurants and a huge Pin Trading area. The largest Disney store in the world is there!

We love going there... there is always music playing, people just walking and having a great time.

Its an open-air shopping mall (the STORES are "indoors" but the walking between them is outside).
Its located next to Pleasure Island.
There are two "sections" of shopping: Marketplace and the West Side.

Its FREE admission.
There is bus transportation to and from all the WDW resorts to DTD and Pleasure Island.

Way too cool. I love DTD. My kid's love the Once Upon A Toy Store and I love World of Disney - great and really nice souvenirs.
If you are into dancing - my hubby and I love Pleasure Island. We love 80's music and 8trax plays the best 80's music. We were there in March and it was packed.

My DS16 loves the parks but when it comes to shopping there is no place like DTD. In '04 we stayed at POFQ and we took the boat to DTD a couple of times so he could shop and that is one of the things he is looking forward to this year. Lots of shops, Giradellie (I know I mispelled that) chocolate shop, Rainforest cafe (there is one at AK also), movie theatre, we just like going! Even if you plan on spending alot of time there at least visit, the pace is usually slower than any of the parks.

Buy, Buy and keep buying, have it shipped back to your room if staying on property or have it shipped home. Great way to shop, nothing to carry, I love it.
