I booked a room at GC with a DTD view. It was cheaper than a park view, and a little more than standard. I figured I'd go middle of the road.;)

What at DTD will I see when I look out my window?

My sister had a DTD view on her last visit. She was right across from the Italian restaruant that is in DTD. They had live music outside her window every evening and she could see the fireworks from her balcony.

It was a little bit further to walk to her room than the standard view rooms we have had in the past, but she thought it was really worth it.

Thanks!

We jsut stayed there this weekend and love this hotel. We have stayed there a couple of times in diffferent locations and i don't think the view really matters. This time we had a DD view, but when you are on the 4th floor there is not a lot to see. The hotel is only 6 stories high. We looked straight out at the backside of Indian Jones and could watch the trams from the parking lot unload. We coiuld also watch people walking to and from the park and hear their conversations! We found a stairway just outside of our room (4447) and we walked down stairs and came out right by the bakery. When we would return we would have to go in the entrance by Sephora because it was locked. While the rooms are very insolated you still hear the music from DD which started at 7:00 a.m. and goes to as late as it is open. We didn't mind it but it would be hard if you wanted to get a little one to sleep. We could see the fireworks from our room but it isn't the same as listening to the music at the park.

We have had pool room views which with the trees you don't see alot. We had a CA view one time and saw just the top of Grizzley Mt. My favorite room was the one the monorail ran right under and we never heard it!

We just stayed at GC this weekend with a DD view. We were on the 3rd floor directly across from Naples restaurant. While it was a fun place to be, we made the mistake of falling asleep with the door open. In the middle of the night there were alot of trucks making that beep noise when they back up. There were also alot of conversations going on. The crews were stringing Christmas lights on the trees all night. The next morning, I had wished that we had a pool view. It seemed much quieter.

When I go to DL, I go all out. I won't stay anywhere else than at the GC if we go for more than 4-5 days. We even had the concierge service last time, which was nice, but pricey.
