Downtown Disney to Grand Californian Question

Hey everyone my dad and I will be at Downtown Disney late Thursday afternoon and I was wondering if we can walk from DTD to GC? I've been looking at Google Maps and it looks like it's possible. I just want to walk over and look at the lobby. It's been about 15 or 16 years since I've been to DL. I think the last time I was there they had just broke ground for DCA. We have 5 day park hoppers.

There is an entrance to GCH in DTD, so yes- you can easily walk to GCH from DTD!

Oh you definitely can. There is an entrance from DTD to the GCH and you just follow the path to the lobby. Once you're into the courtyard go right and just follow it around.

Thank you from me, as well! We're staying at GCH for the first time next month, and I just couldn't picture/remeber what the DTD entrance looked like though I kept trying.

You are welcome!! I was so sad on my solo trip to not be heading through that entrace. GCH is my DLR home.

Coming from the esplanade, it will be on the left just after Sephora and before Studio 365 (I think that's the name). If you are looking on the other side, unless things have changed terribly, once you see Haagen Dasz that's your cue to look left.
