I was reading my 2004 Unofficial Guide (maybe the 2005 has changed opinion) but the only restaurant that it seemed to like was Wolfgang Pucks. Most reviews said "ok in a pinch". Are any of the other restaurants good? Thanks

We love Wolfgang's, but we also always go to House of Blues!! They have real good food and the desserts are great!! Plus, if you're an AP holder and seated before 6pm, you get 20% off!! :earboy2:

We enjoyed House of Blues when we were there. The atmosphere is, well, "different". We had lunch and it was very good. We tried Bongo's but we won't be going back anytime soon. Planet Hollywood reminded us of the Hard Rock Cafe but I felt that the Hard Rock had a better menu and better cuisine. Wolfgang's had some of the best sushi I've had down in Disney (second only to California Grill) and the pizza's were excellent.

We liked Planet Hollywood a lot. The food was great, service was good, and atmosphere was fun. However, it is sort of a chain. We don't live near one so it was a totally new experience for us, but if you live near one, I can see why you might not want to go. Rainforest Cafe is fun, but we like the one in AK better: shorter lines. Have also heard that Earl of Sandwich is good, if you're looking for something quick.

We loved Bongo's Cuban Cafe... the food, atmosphere, and live Salsa music was fantastic. They also had a medium price range which fit well within our budget. There is a Mini Cheesecake Factory inside of Disney Quest if you're dying for a piece of heaven, too. Fulton's was great and we loved goint to Ghiradelli's for ice cream and other sweet favorites.... I didn't think much of Wolfgang Puck's actually, but I tried the Sushi and they really have no business even trying to do that.

We enjoy our visits to Rainforest Cafe at DTD. It's really fun, and we've always had good food there.

We also loved Earl of Sandwich. Very good food, reasonable prices, and a surprisingly quiet dining area for counter service.

We didn't enjoy Planet Hollywood - the food was fine, and the theming is great, but it was so loud we literally could not talk the entire meal.

Haven't tried Wolfgang Puck's sitdown restaurants, be we did enjoy the food at Wolfgang Puck Express.

HOB, Earl of Sandwich, RFC, Bongo's.

House of Blues great burger is The Elwood and love those Voodoo Shrimp. ::yes:: :wave2: Also have enjoyed several great meals at RFC,huge portions, sorry have not been to Wolfgangs

I had soup and salad at Wolfgang Puck's Express last spring. I really liked it, and liked the choices on the menu. My mom got chicken strips and fries...good, and a large serving.

I liked Bongo's...not the greatest place I've eaten in the World, but not bad. A dinner I had at Portobello Yacht club was also quite yummy. :)

Wolfgang Puck's or the Portabello Yacht Club are your safest bets. The only place I'll tell you to stay 100 feet away from is Capt Jack's. I've posted extensively on this restaurant; it should be condemned!

Someone earlier in this thread said that the HOB atmosphere is "different". I'm just curious to know in what way it is different. This is one of the places my family is thinking of eating one night, and I want to be prepared for anything.

Our new favorite find restaurant this trip was at Capn Jacks next to rainforrest cafe. Nice meal size and priceing was good also. Lunch was quiet and a great view of the water. I had french dip, DD had tuna/soup combo and DW had chix sandwhich. We all shared and liked it all. Will go back for sure next time in DD.

Rainforest - okay for the atmosphere, nothing to write home about on the food and stay away from the Bloody Mary's, they put potatoe chips in them.

Capn Jacks - Great bloody marys, we've never dined here only drank like fish.

Wolfgang Express - great for a quick bite to eat.

Wolfgang - enjoyed at lunch time probably wouldn't pay dinner prices though.

Fulton's - Yum Yum, if you like seafood.
