Downtown Disney Hotel Recommendation

We will be arriving a day early on our WDW vacation and wanted to find a hotel downtown Disney that would be within walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. Also, nice pool would be great, but not looking spend a fortune. What do you recommend? thanks,

All are walk-able (note the map on DTD website has hotels in wrong places) with the Hilton directly across the crosswalk from the Marketplace, farthest about .5 miles. Have enjoyed stays at Hilton, B Resort and Doubletree Suites. Stayed Wyndham under another name and would be okay trying there again if in a tower room. I would look over which appeal to you and verify rates and all the extra fees. Some add resort fee, some add parking fee and some add both.

There are some specials on the Downtown Disney Hotel website and a few offer deals via Mousesavers.

We were at Disney for two days after our Disney Cruise last December. We stayed at Buena Vista Palace near Downtown Disney. It was really nice!
