we will be dining on the deluxe dining plan. Traveling with a 4 and 6 year old. What lunch places do you recommend in the downtown Disney area? Appreciate the help.

It is only a quick service credit but Wolfgang Puck Express is amazing! Great food, excellent service and a good variety as well. I know Wolfgang also has a table service restaurant in Downtown Disney that I am sure is just as good.

T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe. The food isn't awesome, but it's decent. The adult beverages are good though. Kids love the restaurants, unless the kid doesn't like loud noises.

I agree with T-Rex and Rainforest Café-such fun for the little ones! When my ds was that age, we had to practically drag him out of T-Rex-LOL.

I would say it really depends on what you have planed for the evening. If you plan on doing a signature dinner or something that requires 2TS credits later that night then somewhere like T-Rex or Rain Forest would be fun for the kids (not a fan of them personally). My personal favorite for a 1TS would be Raglan Road. If you are looking to do a signature restaurant (2TS) then perhaps Morimoto. I have not tried it yet myself (will in June), but the menu looks interesting and the pictures look awesome.

We took our 1yo to Boathouse and it was great! The kids meal came out in a box shaped like an amphicar. Not themed for kids like RC or TRex but we really enjoyed our meals.

With a 4 and 6 yo T-Rex and or Rainforest both are fun for kids and the food is good

On DxDP, go for the best! Boathouse and Morimoto. Boathouse has a fabulous kids menu and Morimoto has tons of choices for kids as well.

FWIW, Rainforest Cafe TERRIFIED my children when they were young. At 16, they still talk about what a horrific experience it was. For some reason, the dark-ish ambience and the animatronic roaring animals freaked them out.

Boathouse for sure. We had a fabulous meal.
How did the boathouse work for credits on DXDP? It doesn't show the tag beside it on the 2016 dining plan brochure, but then on confirmation I read that it's 1-2 credits.........do the credits change based on what you order? what can you order and stay at 1 credit? is there a "price limit" on what you order that changes it from 1 to 2 credits? trying to figure out the rest of our ADRS :)
