Myself, DH, DD14, and DS7 are going to Disney World June 7-12. We are staying the Pop Century. We have purchased a 5 day PHP. I have two questions. First is there a charge for going to DTD? The second question is can you go to the other resorts if you are not staying at them? We have been to Disney World one time 3 years ago. We visited MK, MGM and AK. We went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and had a great time. We did not stay on site at that time and really did not have time to look around that much. We are so excited and cannot wait to get there.

There is no charge for DTD but there is a charge for Pleasure Island in the evening. Paid admission begins at 7pm; you can go in for free and look around but only shops & restaurants will be open.
You can go visit any resort. Although you aren't allowed use of their pools, most other areas are open to the public. That's one of the highlights for my mom & me when we travel - we love checking out hotels and planning where to stay next. If you are at Magic Kingdom it's a nice break to take the boat over to WL or Ft. Wilderness (go to the petting area there!) Ride the Monorail from MK to check out Contemporary, GF and the Poly. Those are the easiest to get to, IMHO. For the others, you can use DTD as a transportation hub. You can either pick up a resort bus there at the Marketplace stop or take a resort bus from any park. (No one minds if it's not your resort, since many people resort hop to try restaurants or just to check them out.) Going back from the resort you would take the bus to DTD and then return to your own hotel from there. Disney puts so much effort into theming the various resorts that you definitely should put them on your "must see" list. Have a great time!:hyper:
