Trying to save some money on our next WDW vacation.
We pay OOP.

I tried to come down to a list of our must do TS.
Would you keep them - add some- delete some ?

HDD
Crystal Palace - late breakfast on an early AM entry day at MK
Garden Grill dinner
50 PT late lunch to save some $$'s
1900 Park Faire - late breakfast on an early AM entry day at MK
1900 Park Faire dinner - when we visit MK or EPCOT
Tony's Town Square - 7:30 PM dinner so we get a nice view of the parade
'Ohana breakfast - not sure of the time, but we love Stitch and the pineapple

Other meals will be breakfast in our room, or counter service.

What are your opinions ?

Personally CP is our favorite. We do dinner there and I love it.

In answering your question I would eliminate one of the 1900 meals. Why go to the same place twice? (I know some do but I don't like to).

If you needed to delete more I wouldn't go to 50's, go even cheaper and do CS for lunch.

i'd say definitely do 50s Prime Time - that was our favorite place. And Kona maybe instead of Ohana since it might be cheaper.

Our 'Must Do's' are:

Crystal Palace (breakfast)
50s Prime Time (lunch)
Tusker House (lunch)
Narcoossee's (dinner)

We try to limit our TS meals to one per day. Any more and it just takes too much time. When we went during F&W, we didn't have any TS meals during our Epcot days. That was a nice change of pace.

I'd skip Tony's. We've eaten there twice and it was terrible both times. I'd also skip Garden Grill, but maybe that's just me. I don't find the menu appealing.

We always have a great time at 50's and Park Faire, and CP is our favorite breakfast.

i'd skip Garden Grill--didn't care for the food--thought it wasn't worth it.
Didn't care for 50's PT either (not much into all the annoying skit--I would rather have a quiet meal).
Your list seems to have mostly Character meals and breakfast.

Ohanas if our favorite Breakfast--and since you like Stitch--you'll love it!

We've enjoyed eating at Tony's every trip--I like the place--Our food has always been good but we never order pasta dishes--
I get fish, and DH gets steak.

instead of at 1900 twice I would skip dinner--- I would try for "Ohanas for Dinner"--not a buffet but all you can eat.

I would also price out the cost of the DDP vs. OOP--it may be cheaper to go ahead and get the Basic DDP since you can get 1TS, 1CS and 1 snack per night of your stay. Plus it's prepaid and you can order whatever you want on the menu for your entree'.

I have 2 must dos during every trip: breakfast at Boma and dinner at Kona Cafe.

I would skip Tony's, the food is just okay, and since you are paying oop, I wouldn't do it. There also is no guarantee that you will get a seat by the window. I would do a late lunch at LTT, I've never done the dinner there but LTT is a must do for us for lunch. Or Crystal Palace for dinner and do somewhere different the breakfast day.
I would also skip or change one of the 1900s since you aren't going to many TS I would want to switch it up.

Thank you for all the replies.
We have a teen DD & teen DS. Our teen DS eats steak and potoes. Our teen DD eats pasta and sometime off the kids menu.

Here is what I think we will do:
HDD - our family loves the show

Crystal Palace - late breakfast on an early AM entry day at MK

Garden Grill dinner - as long as Chip and Dale are there

50 PT late lunch to save some $$'s - our favorite in DHS

1900 Park Faire dinner - when we visit MK or EPCOT - keep to see Cindy, the Prince and the rest of the gang

Tony's Town Square - 7:30 PM dinner so we get a nice view of the parade
my DH loves Tony's - so we can not delete it

'Ohana breakfast - not sure of the time, but we love Stitch and the pineapple

Delete:
1900 Park Faire - late breakfast on an early AM entry day at MK

Maybe add:
LTT for lunch - might be a great was to get some A/C on a hot July day.

Our *must do's* are CP for breakfast and Ohana's for dinner. We also always go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast.

We have been to Chef Micleys many times. When we stayed at the CR, we ate at Chef Mickeys 3 times. The food is good, but the ambience is very loud and many little children having lots of fun.

Now we have teens - no Chef Mickey for them.
I thnk they have been Chef Mickey'ed out :rotfl:

DDP will not work for us - cost = $160 per day for our family of four plus tips.
We do always do dessert which is included in DDP - and if we do not do a TS each day - the cost is not worth it.

Plus I did look at some menu's and I think we can keep our meal cost below $160 a day.

Thank you for all the suggestions :thumbsup2

If you're eating at 1900 PF twice, why not switch the breakfast meal over to Ohana or Kona at the Poly. That way, you'll see be close to the MK for am EMH's.
