Downgrading from Deluxe to Regular Dining a month before Vacay?

I am curious if I would have an issue downgrading from my deluxe dining to regular dining plan less than 30 days til my trip? I am also planning on adding two nights to my trip, so in the end Disney would still be making more money.

I'm hoping this isn't going to be an issue. Of course they will tell me when I call, but I just wanted to get a heads up first.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Change fee of $50 on a package reservation for downgrading your reservation within 45 days of arrival. I do not know if they go strictly by the payment totals, so I don't know if adding two more days would negate this. If they change the DDP first and then add two days, you downgraded first, so they may charge you. If you add two days and then change the DDP, you're still downgrading. Afraid unless someone has actually done this, you'll have to find out when you call.

If it's a DVC reservation there will be no problem changing it.

Just in case anyone searches this thread I wanted to update.

I called and they did NOT charge me a penalty because I added two nights. Had I downgraded and not added the two nights then they would have charged me a penalty.
