We are doing a split stay with POP and BWI. Having second thoughts about spending so much for 3 nites water view at BWI. Looks like rather than winding down for the last few days, we may be spending them at Seaworld and Universal. I really do want to do those parks, but we won't be able to go earlier in the week during POP stay.
Sooooo....would you stay at BWI anyway but go for standard room instead of water view?
Transfer to maybe a moderate instead of deluxe on those days?
Or just stay at POP the entire stay?
Help. Thanks!

We enjoy resort hopping, so I won't suggest staying at POP the entire time. Perhaps a moderate is the way to go.

Why not do a moderate for your entire stay?

If you are planning on going to US/IOA, I would switch to a Universal onsite resort. This gives you front-of-the-line access, which is so great!!::yes:: We have stayed at the Hard Rock, and it was very nice - we had a pool-view room, that looked out at the parks!:earseek:

I agree - if I was intending Universal I would stay onsite as well as opposed to BWI

Tamickey, no point paying for the premium location of BWI to go spend the time at Universal or Sea World or even if it is the winding down portion of your vacation - you are paying $$$ for the location

I have booked the Portofino for those 3 days! Was thinking about Royal Pacific because we would like the theme and it would be less expensive. But got a great AAA rate for Portofino standard room and couldn't pass it up. It would have been nice to go bay view to make up for changing from BWI, but bay view rooms are booked. Hard Rock was booked up too, no surprise. I checked their website and standard rooms look pretty nice tho. I know a lot of WDW planning stuff but will have to read up for Universal!
Thanks to all.

Good choice - you will like it - I stayed at HRH and really enjoyed it - found it to be between the AKL/WL and Poly/BWI/GF in terms of slotting in the Disney deluxe range

If these are still available try using the "Entertainment" rate at one of the Universal Hotels. Order a book and save $$$$ with the Entertainment card. I wouldn't hesitate....they're so close and extremely nice hotels.
