Down By The Boardwalk, Out By The Mouse. 3/11 Jen's New PTR Pg. 69

Ohhhh what cute Veras you both god :goodvibes I have a lot in purple punch....:rolleyes1 and I love your choice too Leslie :thumbsup2 And Jen it was very smart of you to get to know your surrounding areas better ;)
The Crocs are cute....are they really comfy? I can't remember if I ever tried those on or not  They will really do double duty for park and dinner :)

Tracy

OMG you two are TOO funny!!!

LOVE the purple punch pattern too! Don't have one, but love it none-the-less ;)

So excited for your purchases...new bags, new shoes..what more could some great gals want?! A disney trip to go with it....:cloud9:

Great update Jen!! I love all the new Veras!!! Score on the $25 bag from the outlet!!! Where is that outlet Leslie? I'm in southern NH & wasn't aware that one existed nearby! It could be worth a road trip!! :rolleyes1

I will admit, the thought of wearing Crocs again are giving me blister flashbacks to May '09 but I'm trying to be brave. :rolleyes1

That's the first thing that crossed my mind Leslie!! Be brave but change your shoes immediately if you start to sense any trouble! :thumbsup2

You don't have to convince me on the Vera subject, that's for sure. :lmao:

Jen, I know we've talked about this before, but what type of stain guard do you use on your Veras?

You may be sweet on the weather man, but I am sweet on your new Mailbag LL!!! WOW! $25.00??!! SCORE!!! :thumbsup2 I really love that pattern! Very pretty, nice colors, fresh. Looking great! So cure! You know that I love those mailbags!!! I have two too! I did look over the site myself, but alas, I dont need anything... well, so then again there is Jen's logic, right, and look what it got her??!! :rotfl:

Still, great update ladies!! CUTE casual shoes, nice change for the evening, I agree!

Great Update! I also have a vera sickness, but it's more of a list then actual bags! I only have two bags, a wallet, and a pencil case, but i'm planning on buying more very soon! Thanks for the update!

Okay, that update was worth waiting for!!! The play by play of Leslie's trip to the outlet was too funny! :lmao: What a great bargain, and I love that pattern! The mailbag was great on my trip! May it bring you much happiness on yours. :goodvibes

Jen, pretty pretty Veras! :thumbsup2

Yeay for pins to trade! Can't wait to buy some for our trip! The kids have lots of fun doing that!

Happydog, nothing says a weather event like Jim Cantore reporting. Today he will be in Piedmont Park broadcasting. :lovestruc

I would probably choose the new AK tour too. My dad and I did the Backstage Safari tour in April and had such a blast. But I also really want to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour.
I want to do Keys to the Kingdom as well but the Walt tour I really really want to do.
The Africa trek tour led by Joe Rohde.....Hey one can dream right?!! :thumbsup2

Shopping pictures please!!:flower3:

Tracy
Now THAT would be an amazing tour!

I think you girls need to go over to the Prime outlet and check out the Croc store...
They sure had some great deals when we were there, and you could also check out the Disney outlet while you are there.
You are getting a car, right?

Cute bags!
My last purchase was Sittin' in a tree...hipster.
I want to go to a Crocs store. They don't have any up here though although I don't really wear them anymore.

Yes, we are getting a car. I lvoe the Sittin' in a Tree pattern, it's so pretty!

GREAT shopping update Jen!

Leslie, good job on that steal of a deal on such a cute bag! I hope it's the perfect one!

And Jen, nice try with avoiding buying your new Veras! Can't wait to see pics of you with those gorgeous bags.

Now I want those Crocs! If I buy them, I'm blaming you!!!!!!!
I hope so too, time will tell!!

Feel free to blame us.

Oh my, so many good enabling shopping tips here. Love both of the Vera prints you have. Forgive me if I've told this story before but when I was in WDW in Oct, entering through my "private entrance," the security guard stopped me in my tracks by saying "thank you for sharing your Vera with me" after he looked through it. I was stunned. Turns out he is perhaps the best attuned to purse trends of any of us! :rotfl: He knew quite a few popular brands.

Can't believe your packing has begun. Good for you! :worship: Sure wish I was going soon. Hoping it will warm up for you but know you'll have a great time no matter what.

I've never seen that croc shoe... off to google it...
You haven't told me, and that is a very funny story. I bet they see all different types of bags, maybe I should ask the security guards what they recommend as the perfect park bag. :lmao:

OOOOH dying to hear how the Malindi works out in the parks. Those might be perfect for nighttime Crocs for my next trip :rolleyes1

Great job with the new Vera purchases. Very jealous! I wish my Vera was just slightly bigger so that my DSLR could fit in it because i would totally use mine as a park bag.
I'm hoping it will work well, time will tell.

Have you tried the mailbag? I bet it would be big enough for your DSLR.

Tracy
I haven't tried mine on, I bought them online. I did buy another pair of flats that probably won't be good in the parks but I have them in case the crocs are awful feeling when I get them in the mail.

I am going to be brave, very very brave. I figure that my teva mushies will fit in my mailbag nicely so if I have to change into those, I know they are good blister proof shoes, I just might freeze. :rotfl:

The Vera Bradley Outlet is at the Wrentham Outlets in Massachusetts. Only about 25 minutes from my house....VERY dangerous!

You don't have to convince me on the Vera subject, that's for sure. :lmao:

Jen, I know we've talked about this before, but what type of stain guard do you use on your Veras?
Scotch Guard I think...but I'm not sure.

I couldn't believe what a deal I found! I was so excited. Never mind the wonderful shirts I got at the Lane Bryant outlet, it was a very successful day for me.

Great Update! I also have a vera sickness, but it's more of a list then actual bags! I only have two bags, a wallet, and a pencil case, but i'm planning on buying more very soon! Thanks for the update!
Be careful....Vera is so very addicting!

I love pin trading and as I'm not really bringing "souvenir" money then I want to be able to distract myself with that. I need to keep the needless Disney purchases down!

Nice! Very Nice bags girls and Leslie - what a buy! I am totally impressed with your stealth shopping skills.

Jen - your bag and wallet are very, very cute too.

Thanks for sharing all your shopping secrets.

Oh - tour I would most like - either the new AK tour and another Segway tour. I really want to go again. Its so fun!

This update was so worth the wait....and the bags are BEAUTIFUL!!!! :) Giving me a little Vera envy I might say! ;)

I was very happy that Leslie was able to find her bag and at such a great deal!!!!

And TK...yes I Scotchguard my purses to help with stains and being out in the rain, it works wonderfully!

Awww Thanks Jen!!!! If you want to buy a Vera and need some encouragment you have come to the right place LOL!!!! I love me some Veras!!!

I can't believe you are so close to your trip!

Only 2 weeks, well at least tomorrow we can say 2 weeks less WOOT WOOT!!!

Can you get that at any super store? I wouldn't even know where to look for it, I'm non-scotchguard savvy. :rotfl2: And thanks for the tip! I don't even want to talk about some of the accidents I've had with my dear, sweet Veras. :lmao:

Yes Ma'am!! I buy mine at Wal-Mart in the cleaning aisle with the carpet cleaners!! You can buy a can of it and it works wonders!!!

Love the trip purchases! I have a combination of your two bags...I have the mailbag in Purple Punch! haha But I am planning on getting a Saddle Up bag tomorrow in one of the new spring prints. I've got some VB gift cards that I've been saving up so the spring stuff is calling my name!

I hope all of the New England Gnomies stay safe in this horrible snow storm today! I have decided to stay home, now to just get Marc home from his overnight shift.

You know what is bad? I went two days thinking that I updated this PTR....but I didn't. I'm losing it. I can tell you that I truly need this vacation, my brain needs to relax. I didn't realize until last night around 8 that I hadn't updated in two days. Oy.

In other news this week, I have switched programs at school. I'm still on a break from school, in fact I don't go back until March 31st now in my new program. I switched from Medical Assisting to Medical Billing & Coding. I think I'm more of an office girl than an hands on girl. I'm happy with my decision and now I just need for classes to start back up.

My suitcases are out, not quite packed but at least they are out. I hvae packed the things I don't use on a daily basis so that is a start. I have also been using my mailbag this week and so far I love it! It's much more comfortable than the other one I had but I guess that is what happens when you lose 75lbs. :rotfl2:

Question of the Day...

What is your first memory of Disney?

Jen - I'm letting Jen tell this in her own words, copied and pasted from the email she sent me.

My first memory of Disney is standing in Norway (EPCOT) with my father when I was 10, it was a daughter/dad trip and I remember it being COMPLETELY empty that day (It was early October)! I remember seeing a bus full of characters drive by and wave and I knew I was absolutely in the happiest place on earth!!!!!

Leslie - My first memories of Disney are a jumble and I don't know which one is first. Here are the highlights from my first trip when I was 5. I remember riding the skyway with my Dad, I remember seeing a Mary Poppins topiary, I also almost puked on the teacups when my uncle spun the some bad. I remember lolling my head back and just wanting to the ride to stop. I remember talking to my teddy bear Gumdrops (who I thought was real and that he just couldn't talk) about my days at night because he wasn't allowed to come with me and lastly I remember coming down with the chicken pox. Fabulous trip let me tell you. :rotfl2:

What is your first Disney memory?

I'm all caught up! Sounds like you had some luck shopping. As for the countdown questions...

Movies for a snowed-in day: Mary Poppins and The Princess and the Frog were the first ones to come to mind.

Free tour: Not sure. Maybe Keys to the Kingdom.

First memory: I have no memory of my first visit, but the earliest ones I have are meeting Mickey and Minnie at the garden in Town Square between the fire house and City Hall, exiting the Country Bear Jamboree (there was a gift shop there at the time, I think), and one of the boat rides (either Small World or Pirates, I can't remember). I was really young so I'm surprised I remember it at all.
