Doubletree?

Has anybody ever stayed at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach? I read about it on Dave's site and it looks nice...they usually are..any opinions? Did you park your car and take the shuttle?

We have stayed at the Doubletree at Cocoa Beach several times. It is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed the poolside band playing tropical music and the cabana boys bringing endless pina coladas. We stayed there two summers ago for 5 nights, just because we wanted vacation time on the Atlantic coast. (we love waves) We stayed there last summer right before our first ever Disney cruise, but we drove ourselves to the port. I think I felt better leaving my car locked up in Disney's port than a few miles away in a hotel parking lot. Plus, when we disembarked, we simply crossed the street and drove away..... no waiting for shuttle service, etc.

We have stayed in the Hampton Inn as well as the new Marriot, but I highly recommend the Doubletree.

Thanks I think I will book there also! Thanks for the parking info. we were leaning towards driving to port ourselves.
