Hi!
I made a reservation for the Embassy Suites LBV for Christmas week, cancelled the one I had at Port Orleans. I am still on a waitlist for a Boardwalk villa through a DVC owner, and still keeping my fingers crossed!
Well, I guess the resort I THOUGHT was Embassy Suites is the Doubletree Suites. I like that location, where are the Embassy Suites? Should I consider switching to The Doubletree? I think I got a pretty good deal at The Embassy.
Thanks!

I have stayed at the Doubletree 8 times in the past three years. You can't beat the location. The buses come every 30 minutes and take you to all four parks. This resort actually has one advantage over Disney Resorts. A ten minute walk will take you to the Downtown Disney Resort Bus stop. From here you can go to any of the resort hotels. From a Disney Resort you would have to go to a park then take a monorail, bus,or watercraft to another Disney Resort. We do not rent a car so the savings are significant. As far as the Embassy Suites LBV the full breakfast in the morning is great but taking a taxi to and from the parks is not very cost effective. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. The free breakfast isn't that important to me, and we will have our own car so that isn't an issue for us either. I do like being able to walk to the Crossroads and Downtown Disney, it's a nice walk. I have read that The Doubletree is rundown but on the website it says the rooms are newly renovated. Mary, from Mousesavers, didn't seem to like it.
Now I am also considering The Residence Inn or maybe The Marriott World Center!! I know it will just be a hotel room at the Marriott but it's such a great resort.

I am really going crazy trying to plan this vacation.

I would keep your ressies at the Embassy suites, it's a very nice one. It's only about 5 minutes farther then Doubletree ,if that.Doubletree suites IMO is a bit run down. ES also has a free cocktail reception. Most ES have free shuttles to the parks not sure if this one does as we prefer to drive. The Residence Inn is right behind Embassy suites, and there is also a really nice Homewood suites in the same place.
