It's been a while since the last update, but over the weekend I was able to post not one but TWO new episodes of the Disneyland Update.

Disneyland Update - Expansion of Disney's California Adventure
An episode devoted to the five-year expansion project at DCA. Includes lots of video, artwork and photos of Toy Story Mania. Also full coverage of Carsland and the new Walt Disney Plaza.

Disneyland Update - Captain Eeyore
An episode covering the history of cast member parodies. In 1986 cast members at Disneyland produced a shot-by-shot parody of Captain EO, using Disney character costumes, shot inside Disneyland. Participants all received a VHS copy of this project. I've been looking for a copy for three years. Last month I finally found one. Enjoy!

That was awesome!! I've read all about the upcoming changes, but it was incredible to see all the artist mockups and even inside the Toy Story Mania ride. WOW! Thanks for sharing! I'm really excited for these new changes to DCA. I enjoy the park now, but I know how much more I will love it in the future.

Okay, I had to respond to this one separately!

Hilarious!! DH and I were just talking about the horror that was Captain EO (yes, we were teens when it was popular...). I was sure I couldn't remember any of it, right up until you showed that parody and I SO REMEMBER THOSE SONGS!!!! EEeeeeewwwwww!

I don't know what is more horrifying...

the fact that Michael Jackson ever was a part of Disneyland, or

the fact that somewhere my brain cells were storing this horrible music! Ack I could even sing along to parts. OMGosh. And I was not a Captain EO fan even back in the day! Just shows me the damage that Michael Jackson has inflicted on even the rest of us...
