Anyone have any experience staying here for 5 nights? 2 adults 2 kids. Will be running the half marathon in November. Says 1 mile from parks, easy walk, safe area etc? Have never been to Anaheim. Thank you!

We will be staying there for our 1st time for an upcoming trip. I have read really great things about it on yelp & trip advisor. We are very much looking forward to our trip. They do not have a shuttle. But the ART transportation picks up there & travels to Disneyland---can purchase your tickets online. :goodvibes

Taking both price and quality into consideration, it's probably near the top of the list of Good Neighbor hotels where I've stayed. It's a typical DoubleTree property-- clean, very nice, good-sized rooms, great service. The area around seems very safe, and I wouldn't hesitate to walk around. But it's not an easy walk from the parks. I'd hesitate to walk myself, and if you have kids along, forget it. There is an ART stop (public transportation) right in front of the hotel, though, which we found mostly dependable for getting us where we needed to go.

We usually stay at the Hilton which is in the same area around the convention center as the Doubletree. I think we've stayed at the Doubletree one year for the D23 Expo. We always walk to the park, 15 minutes easy. At the end of the night if your legs are dragging just jump on the Toy Story Lot buses and walk out of the lot and half a block back to your hotel. We've never used the ART.

One of our favorite places to stay! You can either walk from the hotel to the Toy Story lot and catch a bus- or walk to the parks- it's not a bad walk- seems longer on the way back at the end of the day- so hop on the busses!

We loved our stay at the Doubletree Suites. Definitely walk to the toy story shuttles every day. They are free and will get you to the parks faster than the ART shuttles, which are not free. The rooms are excellent, the lobby is beautiful. The kids will like swimming on a rooftop and getting free hot cookies every time they come into the lobby (so will the adults).

Oh--don't take the Toy Story shuttles on your magic morning. They start running the same time as magic morning.
