Double Tree (DTD) or Cypress Grand Villas?

HI,
Looking for all comments regarding conditions at the DoubleTree at DTD. Some recent comments have worried me about the musty, mold smell. We stayed at the Marriott (now Holiday Inn) at DTD last year and the musty smell was overwheming and triggered my DD asthma.
Recent comments discussed DoubleTree in need of refurbishing and with the musty smell.

Anyone have anything good to say about it? Or should I just book at Cypress Grand Villas?
