Wow, next time came quick.
Okay, I am not that funny. But I seriously have to get these posts up. At this rate we will be on the vacation and I will still be working on my PTR.
Lately, I have been working on a list of "Disney To Dos", things that I need to get done before the vacation. But that is boring. So I decided to continue my posts of Touring Plans. Yay!
Okay, settle down there. It isn't "that" exciting.
DAY 3 MAGIC KINGDOM
Finally, we are heading to Magic Kingdom. This is kind of a relaxed day, but we are going to have our first really late night.
I am nervous about how the babies will handle it.
Park Hours: 9am to 7pm (MNSSHP is tonight, but we are not going. This was a decision we made as a group. But the concern is that the event runs from 7 to midnight and 6 tickets will run us over $250.00, then if the babies can't handle the late night... It was just too risky).
You are probably wondering why I chose MK on a day where it closes early when we arent going to the party. Well, because it closes early, its less attended in the morning. This makes it one of the better days to visit.
Today we will focus on FantasyLand. Thats right, one whole day for one land. But this is a huge land with lots of new things. And tons of attractions perfect for babies and preschoolers.
6:30am Rise and Shine, my magic 30 minutes again.
7:00am Leave by car for breakfast at Kona Café.
7:30am Kona Café ADR. We should be a little bit early. I have budgeted an hour for breakfast. Hopefully, we can make it. *fingers crossed*
8:30am Leave the Polynesian by monorail for the Magic Kingdom
9:00am Park Opening, if we are a little early we will try to squeeze in a bathroom break??? I know there are bathrooms outside the park at Epcot, but are there bathrooms outside the park at MK? If not we should plan on using one at the Poly.
9:15am Tinkerbells Magical Nook, okay, okay, this is more for the moms and Nana than the kids, but who doesnt love a fairy. And hopefully Tinks sister/twin is still there.
9:30am Peter Pans flight, when the boys were 2, this ride scared them. I dont know why. In the scenes where we could show them Captain Hook, they calmed down some because they recognized him from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I think they are going to like it better this trip. (Just to provide some context, at 2 the boys were afraid of everything that moved on its own. This included age appropriate toys and holiday decorations, so they were afraid of a lot of things at Disney World. Now they arent afraid of the toys that move on their own, so I think it will go a lot better.)
9:40am Send someone for a Winnie the Pooh FP
9:50am The Little Mermaid ride (I am super excited about this one!)
10:10am Barnstormer, the boys first coaster!!! I think they will like it. When I showed them the youtube POV video they said they would ride it.
10:15am Petes Silly Side Show Meet n Greets
10:45am Mad Tea Party
10:50am Ride Winnie the Pooh using the FPs from earlier
11:00am Lunch at Be Our Guest!!! I want to sit in the west wing. Hopefully, we are early enough to get our pick and avoid an insane line. If there is a line, we will split up so a couple of people can take the boys to the bathroom and change diapers while the others stand in line. Once that is done, we should be ready to order and enjoy lunch.
12:30pm Nap Time! We will take Disney Transportation back to the hotel for a midday nap or swim in the pool. I love the animation classes at Hollywood Studios, so if I can get the babies down and Aaron to watch them, I might go to the Lobby to try my hand at the Animation Class there.
???
I was originally thinking we would head back to the park at about 3:00 and ride the haunted mansion then go for an early dinner at Columbia Harbor House, but I am concerned the boys will still be scared of Haunted Mansion and I dont know that it is worth the risk.
So, I am not certain what we are doing. It might be best just to extend naptime/pool time.
4:00pm Early dinner somewhere, we are going to have to eat at about this time. Since Lunch is at 11:00am and Ohana ADR is 8:30. Some sort of meal needs to happen. Maybe we just do dinner at Landscape of Flavors, maybe we go to Wolfgang Puck Express, maybe we do Gasparilla Grill at Grand Flo. This is the QS meal that isnt set in stone. I imagine we will end up at Landscape of Flavors if we hang out at the hotel for an extended nap or Columbia Harbor House if we head on back to MK. Or we might just eat a big snack in the room if we spent the QS credit on arrival day. Whatever we decide to do, we need to be fed and back in the Magic Kingdom by 5:00 to finish up our day.
5:00pm - Gaston Meet n Greet
5:30pm Its a small world
5:50pm Mickeys Philharmagic
6:20pm Dumbo
6:45pm Enchanted Tales with Belle (just under the wire) or Casey Jr. Splash and Soak.
7:30pm Head out of the park, we are going to be slow about this. Take a bathroom break, take lots of pictures. Soak up all of New Fantasyland that we can. Basically, the park is still open, but after 7:00 we cant get on anything.
8:00pm Board the monorail for the Poly and check-in for our 8:30 ADR. I figure we can bum around the Poly and explore while we wait.
8:30pm Ohana ADR, hopefully we can draw out the experience until the 9:30 Hallowishes fireworks. If not, we will go down to the beach to watch them like everyone else. But I prefer to watch them in the restaurant. We did that last trip and it was amazing.
9:30pm Hallowishes fireworks
9:45pm Take our car, which is still at the poly, home.
10:30pm Bedtime!?!?! I hope we are that quick. I am scared to death of keeping my boys up this late.
The evening waits concern me a little. While I know the morning wont be bad, the afternoon might be tough. A wait at Dumbo is fine because the boys will love the play area and it is air conditioned. The wait I am most worried about is Enchanted Tales with Belle. I kept trying to do it first thing in the morning, but it just wouldnt fit. It takes so long you lose a lot of the morning hours and waits on everything else get a little crazy. But still, I dont know if two 4 year olds are going to handle a 30 minute wait very well. I think it is the longest wait we are facing the entire trip. But I do not want to miss it.
If we dont make it, then I will probably use our departure day (which is a flex day) to visit the MK and do Enchanted Tales with Belle first thing. But we will see how it goes. I am also still trying to work it into our second MK day and that appears to be going pretty well. So we might skip it this day in favor of Casey Jr. Splash and Soak. Then we can change the boys out of their wet clothes after the park closes before we head to the poly.
