Now the time will really fly! I can't believe we are down to one week:eek: I have everything ready to go, just waiting for the plane;)

I am going under 40 today and I couldn't be more excited. Believe me, the time will go lots faster than you think!

Closer to the single digit one!

We leave 5/2 for the 5/3 Eastern!

Rae,

I thought you were flying out Saturday morning on the 3rd???

until I read this post that we must be in the double digits also. Both exciting & scary since I still feel unprepared. Many loose ends to tie up, figure out, etc. ;)

V-man - We are. Just heading down to Indy early for a night at the hotel! Or as Michael says, "The precruise swim party"!
Wish we had decided to fly down Friday and stay with the other 5/3'ers at the hotel.

We will do it different when we have the "Andy and Rae Show"!!

Oh, you mean the 145 days until DD becomes a teenager, we had a real "attitude" this morning before leaving for school. I know this kid of mine has PMS!!! Not LOL!!!

hilltop family - you are on the ship one week before we sail in August! Treat her gently!!!

Hey, with 3 kids going with me & DH, I can make no guarantees!!!:p Well, except maybe that we won't sink her! LOL.

And anyway---how do you rate 3 cruises in 6 months! I am sooooo jealous! Anyway, heres to the dance!

hilltop family -

RE: 3 cruises in one year question -----

Well, for years we were broke, then breaking even, but we saved and worked even harder. Our vacations were trips just to see our folks, nothing ever fancy or exceptional.

Our first son is now on his own, so with that savings plus one less mouth to feed........after my Dad passed in 1998 then our best friend in 2001, we came to the realization that we needed to "have a life" besides working and saving. Mom moved to Indiana from upstate NY and last fall, I took her on her first airplane ride and cruise. She is now hooked!!!

Last year I used cash only for the 3 cruises we took; this year I am using points for 2 cruises and cash for one. We like the category 6, Deck 5 verandah's - otherwise we'd be on more often!!!

As long as you don't sink the Magic - enjoy her! She's definitely our "home"!

Rae:

Wow, I like your philosophy on life and cruising!

We need to all have some great times, times to build memories, while we can. (Working as a therapist in a large regional rehabilitation hospital with adults and within our local public school system with children, all with disabilities, I have seen some pretty awful things).

Heres to all single- and double-digit dancing!!

Don't put anything off. DH's parents scrimp & save & complain about having no money. They have never gone on a vacation...and we hear about it. LOL! Thus, the reason they know nothing about our trip yet. ;) We believe in living now & not waiting for the kids to get out of the house & retirement. I have known too many people who did that & then they weren't able to do anything because they died right after they retired. DH & I went on a 10 day trip to Nova Scotia & New Brunswick just to see it. We took the ferry over & drove up the coast, then back down. That much time driving gives you alot of time to get to know each other. We were only in our mid 20s then & people asked us why we went. Why not? Maybe it is spoiling ourselves...or now our kids a bit...but I would rather do it while we can, than wait & wonder.
