Hi everyone,

I am wondering if I should try and get a king size bed at the moderates or if my FI and I will do ok with the double size beds. We currently sleep on a queen size bed and I have heard that the doubles are actually a little bigger than the doubles I am used to.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

DH and I have a queen at home and had no problem with the double beds at CSR. When we stayed at POP in Feb, we had a king and actually thought it was too big! :confused3

DH and I have a queen at home too, but when staying overnight at a hotel at an airport, we slept (or tried to anyway) in a double. DH and I are so used to having some space around us when we sleep. A king size bed is FAR to much space, but the double had us thisclose to each other and I like to spread out and have some air, not be smooshed back to back. JMO. Please let us know how a double works for you. You might make us change our minds! :flower:

Are you the only 2 in the room? If that is the case then you would each have your own bed. It works for us.

I requested a king bed for the pofq if i get 2 double beds can i push them together? Me and my bf dont want to sleep in different beds, we're use to sleeping next to each other. I dont want to sleep in 2 different beds for 7 nights. Any ideas?

We always get a king bed when we stay at a moderate. You pay more for a king at moderates and we've never had a problem getting one, since its not a request. I've never had a handicapped room.

I really thought sleeping in a double bed while at CSR (We added onto our 8 previous days at AKL, and nothing else was available over the Memorial Weekend) would be a major issue for us. Not! The beds were so comfortable with the pillowtop mattresses.

My husband & I sleep in a queen at home. We slept in the double at POR and loved it!!!!!!!!!! It was very comfortable. Infact, I look forward to going back knowing that we get a good nights sleep on their beds!

I requested a king bed at CBR and they wouldn't give me one because I have 3 people in my room. It is going to be me, and my 2 young children. I told the CM that my kids will end up in bed with me before the end of the night and I'd rather have the room with a king bed. She said no way. So, now I'm hoping that the 3 of us can fit comfortably in a double bed...GRRRRRRRR. Maybe once I get there I can talk the CM at the desk into giving me one if there's any available.

You will get many different answers on this. We sleep on a queen at home and usually stay in king beds when we stay in non-Disney owned resorts so maybe we are spoiled. That being said when we stayed at CSR over Memorial Day weekend in 2004 we were not comfortable in the double/full size beds at all. We are going to brave the double/full size beds again on our upcoming trip to POR since we are traveling with friends that need to keep the price in the moderate range.

We sleep on a king sized bed at home, we're both pretty tall, I'm 5'9" and hubby is 6'4", and that being said we've always been comfortable on the double beds at the moderates.

We're so exhausted by the time we fall asleep at Disney that we don't even have enough energy to steal the covers or gouge each other's feet.

Someone posted recently that the full are (or maybe) extra long fulls which would make them the same length as the Queens and Kings and may help in the comfort level.
