How big a difference is there from a queen bed at the Swan to a double bed at the Dolphin? Is a double bed plenty big enough for two average size adults to share?
I would say that hubby and I are average sized, and we had no trouble on the double bed at the Dolphin. We have a queen sized bed at home, so the doubles feel a little cramped, but not enough to keep us from getting a good night's sleep.
A double bed doesn't work for me and my DH. I'm average size but he's about 6'3" and it doesn't work. We stay at the Swan because they have queen beds but the Dolphin doesn't. We were treated last year to a suite and my DH and I had a room with a king bed and boy did that spoil me!!!!!
Hi, We just booked at the Dolphin and the person at reservations over at the Dolphin said that their doubles are oversized and only 1 inch smaller than a regular queen bed. Hope this helps.
My husband and I are both tall, and we fit in the double just fine. We have a king, and usually only stay where we can get at least a queen. The doubles at the Dolphin are oversized as the previous poster mentioned.
I'm in total agreement that double beds don't fit Dh and I. Saying that, please don't worry since the doubles at the Dolphin are really oversized and more like a queen sized mattress. We actually didn't notice a size difference between our queen at home and the Dolphin's "double".
My late husband and I stayed at both the Swan and the Dolphin. He much preferred the Swan because of the queen beds. We thought there was a substantial difference in size.
