Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination DisneyTeresajoys(true)version:TheEnd 1/23

See, I used to practice on my little sister, a Barbie head would have been a lot less whiny! My mother would not let us play with Barbies though: she said they were demeaning to women. She about fainted when Megan asked for a Barbie bike for Christmas and we bought her one. You'd think I was a traitor to the cause. OHHHH, my mother did not approve of my french braids either, lol!

4) I am sure YOUR cheerleaders were nice a smart, miss suck up!

Your mom would not have done well in Texas! There was a lady at all the pageants who made special pageant outfits for Barbie and Skipper and Kelly...Barbie was basically the super tall version what we were all supposed to want to be! (DISCLAIMER--I am not saying that ALL pageants promote Barbie adoration...just the ones I was in...:flower3: )

Our cheerleaders were skanky! They were mean cows who wore too much make up and were awful to everyone. They about had a stroke when a girl transferred in who could actually tumble. I thought they would go green with envy, because of course they had to let her on. She was sweet and nice, which I'm sure rankled them all the more.

I didn't go to the feeder middle schools so I wasn't even worth their scorn but my best friend had many run ins with them and wrote humorous things in our yearbooks about them. Well, humorous to immature band geeks anyway, lol.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I'm sorry you had mean girls as cheerleaders. If I'm being VERY honest there were two girls on my squad who hated me...A LOT. They said I was prissy. Can you IMAGINE?! ME?! Prissy...duh....that's like saying I was a girl.

Luckily they got banned from cheerleading for coming to a game after having been to a party...they were LATE AND they didn't have the proper number of curls in their pony tails AND they wore the WRONG socks AND forgot their ribbons...oh and they had been :drinking1 too!. I think it was the socks that did it though.

what?

one must have the proper socks on to cheer appropriately.

it's true.

:cheer2:

I'd have been your BEST buddy Steph...you KNOW it. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

1) WHAT?!?! :faint: That curl cannot be natural; it is too perfect! I assumed that it much be braided, lol. Ok, now it is official: LYDIA HAS MODEL HAIR! Get that girl a contract!

2) What a horrible band director! We wore uniforms that were pants and we had a girl who couldn't wear them for religious reasons, and our band director had no problem letting her wear a skirt. I can't believe he let a rockin' sax player get away like that! Hey, my sister played sax too.

1.)You are too funny Steph!!! I have no idea where that curl came from! When she was a baby, a friend of ours said "She has curls!" I laughed at him, and scoffed off such a notion! Then, it WAS curly!!! It's lost a bit of its curl, but she's still got the lovely soft wavy curls.
2.)Thank you for feeling my pain about band! I was quite upset at the time! Brian plays saxaphone too. Well, he use to! He hasn't gotten it out since Corey was quite little.
3.)After I got it down with the Barbie head, Heather became my victim too! She wasn't too whiny though.
4.)They were nice! :snooty: ask Heather if you don't believe me! Not that she was in High School with me, but some of their sisters were in her class! And, I know they were smart, because they were all in the same classes as me! :rotfl:

I bet that nice cheerleader with talent moved to your school from MY school!!!
SKANKY?! We were SKANKY?! I thought we were community leaders and ambassadors of goodwill...:snooty:

WE WERE!

*ahem*

:rotfl2: :lmao:

I always wondered why the band girls gave us such evil eyed looks. Little did I know that the secret of French braiding was being kept from me!:sad1:

really...I was such a dork in high school. I studied for fun...I took advanced biology as an ELECTIVE...I was HUGE into my church youth group...cheerleading was just something I did b/c that's what you do when you are a girl in Texas...you do pageants and cheerleading.

at least in MY neighborhood!

oh Steph I imagine we would have been fabulous friends in high school. We have a very similar sense of humor!:lmao: :goodvibes

:lmao:

THANK YOU!

we were unfailingly kind and inclusive...of everybody...as long as they fit the criteria of inclusiveness...

JUST KIDDING!

I'll admit...there were some persnickity little poots on the squad, but mostly in a silent way. Our coach was NOT MESSING when she said we were to appear open and friendly at all times. Smile till you mean it girls!

and people wonder why I'm slightly off center...

:confused3

:rotfl:

y'all just crack me up no end!

Now now MissCammie, don't you let those meany band kids get to you!

I have to say none of my friends were cheerleaders, they were all in band or orchestra.

(See Steph, I can suck up to both sides!)

The band girls WERE mean...they rolled their eyes at me...and I was in the choir...which is musical...therefore related...

One girl in particular thought it was funny to call me Spirit Bunny...

see...mean as snakes.

;)

I actually played the drums in middle school! And I wasn't half bad...but then other activities came into play and I couldn't practice enough...well that and my mom and I got into 84,000 fights about the drums that went like this:

"MissCammie...that is NOT the proper way for a young lady to sit!"

"Mommy I can't do a PAGEANT sit when I'm playing the drums! I can't move the right way!"

"Then I guess you ought to pick a more ladylike instrument to play...like SINGING!"

:lmao:

:rockband: or :charac2: or :cheer2: ?

:cheer2: won!

am I highjacking with my therapy session here?

can't wait to hear about the DVC tour...you ARE going to write about the DVC tour right?

:flower3:

Hi Teresa- I'm back!!
~I love Eeyore Too! He's my favorite pooh character! I have a real cute picture of me with him. I'll have to see if I can find it. It was predigital! So sweet of Heather to bring you such a special friend when you needed him!
~I'm with you I do Not enjoy Dinosaur!! Nor do I like the carnival style set up in that part of AK.
~ Sadly I did not get to go on EE. But Dh did and he really liked it too! I took the kids to see Camp Minnie Mickey instead. I think we had a better time though it was really slow over there so they didn't rush us off after 2 seconds!
~ Sorry about the Chef Mickey experience it was not our best character meal and our waiter was Not good either- But I bet you already knew that cuz you read my TR! ;) I agree with your math there should be a standard for their visits like 30 seconds per child or something. I'm sure the handlers could help manage that. Even if you have a big party you still deserve as much time per child or person as everyone else! Disney encourages Grand Gatherings so Why are so many CMs so rude about them!!
~ The girls looked adorable looking for the birds under water. What was it the Hammercop. I've never heard of that one!
~ And those pictures of You and Sawyer!! How cute are those!! Nieces and Nephews are so Special -Just like Sisters!!

Alright I better upload my pictures from yesterday. The whale jumpers turned out really cute!!

I love the pictures with Tigger, and Sawyer is so cute hiding from Aunt Teresa. That Lydia is a little character snuggler! I want to dance with Tigger! I don't like the whole carnival/Dinosaur area either, and at Disneyland California Adventure I hate the whole boaradwalk themed area :confused3 but I do love California Screamin' Lily saw your pictures of the "Flyin' Dinos" and said "I wanna go that ride! I wanna go up dinosaurs!" I'm glad Lydia had a "list" that is so cute! How fun you got to meet Chantell! Lydia looks very pretty in her AK/Minnie dot outfit! It's a good thing people came around and started telling YOU that instead of telling Brian :sad2: That chocolate ice cream bar covered in caramel and dipped in chocolate sounds sooooo good! Poor Casey getting sick!

You should have went to my High School were the band geeks and the cheerleaders lived in harmony. :lovestruc I remember one time one of the cheerleaders telling me about cheer camp (we weren't best friends, but we were friendly) and she told me that at SOME schools, the kids were MEAN to cheerleaders! We were both shocked! :scared1:

You should go to the Dismeet in February, and then you and Steph can put a stop to the Band----cheerleader feud!

You could tour the country, doing motivational speeches to High Schools! I'm sure you will both think of a catchy name to call it. :rotfl:
Well, I cracky myself up anyway!

I need to see your Eeyore picture!
We still had fun at Chef Mickey, but we tend to have fun even if the only thing we are having fun doing is complaining about what a horrible time we just had! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We are REALLY good complainers Heather and I! (Not that we had a horrible time, that was just an example of our oddness!)
Neices and nephews ARE something wonderful, aren't they!!! :lovestruc Oh goodness, you know I'm all teary thinking about how much I love them!!!

Dancing Tigger was so fun! Everyone should get to dance with Tigger!

What's the deal with the theming over there in Dinoland??? :confused3 It's like they didn't know what to do, so they just slapped that in there!
Lydia is a funny kid! She made me make a list too! AND she remembered everything I had wrote on it! So, she made sure I did my things too. She's a sweetheart!

Don't people know that men don't tell their wives things like that??? They need to tell ME that they like the outfit! Although, I guess when Tom goes out, they would be telling the right person telling him!

OH, I dream about that chocolate ice cream bar!!! I was soooooooo upset when I went to get my annual yummy bar and they told me they didn't have them anymore!!!!! WHY!!!! WHY!!!!! Oh, the tragedy of it all!

It was Saturday, which meant we had to leave the house today and check into our timeshare down on 192. So, we had to pack up. Casey was feeling a bit better, and she told me that her Mom (Barbara) had told her she was probably going to be starting her period. I didn't think that throwing up and being quite ill were signs of your first period, but I kept my mouth shut. Although, I wish now I had thought about where she was saying it hurt, (Lower abdomen). I gave her a kiss and noticed that she didn't seem to have a fever, so I was hoping she was getting better.

I did some laundry and the kids went over to Heather's for awhile. Then I went over there to talk to Heather about our meet up later that day with fellow Diser, Cindee (LivnDisney), her daughter Morgan, and Jord. I went in to check on the girls, who were playing in a bedroom. Casey had been feeling a bit better, so she had come over to play too. Casey wasn't looking so good now, and I was worried about her. She seemed even more pale than normal.

Heather and I decided to give Cindee a call (she had given me her phone number and I had talked to her and Morgan before leaving Michigan). We got hold of her, and set up a time to meet, 4:30, I believe. We told her to make sure to bring Morgan and Jord! We planned on meeting up at the McDonald's at Downtown Disney.

It was about time for our DVC tour, so I went in to get Lydia and Arminda and tell Casey, Tessa and Sawyer good-bye. When I gave Casey a kiss this time, I could tell that she was quite a bit warmer than she had been earlier. I mentioned to Heather that I thought she had a fever, so she took her temp, and it wasn't high. I'm usually pretty good at the old lip thermometer, so I was surprised! She was looking really sick again though. Really sick.

Mom and Dad were going to tour the DVC as well, but they had left earlier to drop off Courtney and David at Animal Kingdom. And, everyone had clear instructions on where and when to meet! I had given Mom the directions to the resort before she left.

By the looks of the pictures, David and Courtney had a really special Father Daughter Day at Animal Kingdom. Heather appliqued the Mickey's on the outfit for her, isn't it cute!

AND! They made it home, and were NOT again "Lost Forever"!

I was still pretty worried about Casey. Corey thought maybe she had gotten heat sickness from being outside so long the day before. Barbara had told us that she hadn't drank that mush while they were out. I felt so bad that she was going to have to get on a plane the next day and fly home when she was so miserable! I made sure to give Casey a big hug before we left, since we wouldn't be seeing them again until we got back to Michigan. Mom and I talked briefly about whether or not Casey should go to urgent care. Since Casey kept looking better, then looking sicker and sicker again, it was hard to know what to do. We were scared it might be apendicitis, but we couldn't figure out why it kept coming and going. Arminda was sick like that once when she was quite little....whish I'd though of it at the time....

Brian and I packed up the van and drove over to the resort (I think it was the Carribean Beach Resort?)

OOOH! LOOK! It's Disney's best kept secret!!! Apparently, Disney is HORRIBLE about keeping secrets!

I think the kids thought this sort of looked like a hidden Mickey cloud.

We were pretty excited about touring one of the rooms. That and free ice cream!

We checked in, and the ladies working the front desk had us take the kids to the kids center. The girls took off right away to play, and Corey stayed with us. He wanted to see the room too! First though, we got us some cookies and coffee. Mom and Dad were there already, so we sat down by them and waited. When we had set up our appointment, Cori (The DVC lady) had told us that if my parents came, they would get their own tour and presentation in a separate room, but we'd finish about the same time. So, I was surprised when our guide (Jerry, by name, I do believe) came out to introduce himself and took us all into the same presentation room. He told us that they were getting a room ready for us to look at, but he would explain some things to us first. He told us about the DVC system, and then showed us how much membership cost. He then asked if we had any questions and we told him we did not. Then, we sensed his mood started to change a bit. As if the niceness had just been an act. He then asked us, "So, why did you come in here today?" We told him that basically we were just curious and wanted to know more about DVC.

I take this moment to warn you that yet another psycho CM moment is approaching! My more sensitive viewers may want to skip this section and go read a lovely trip report about flowers and butterflies and sunshine...... I'l let you know when it's safe to come back......

Ok, so who's left? Oh, good, lots of you, let's continue now, shall we?......

He then rudely said, "Ok, what were you promised!? Fast passes? Pins?? What?"
We all looked at each other a bit stunned, and told him that we were suppose to get gift certificates.
The CM said, "Ok, I'll get them and you can leave."
We asked him about seeing a room.
He told us, "You think this is a timeshare! It's not, but you won't believe that. Do you WANT to see a room?!?"
We all replied that we did.
He then left the room, and came back with 5 gift certificates, handed them to us and said, "There, you can leave now."
We told him that we actually needed two more gift cards for our girls.
He said, "Well, where are they?"
We told him that they were in the kid center
"Let's get them then."
We were all just about shaking with rage! Even Brian, who usually thinks I am overly sensitive about this sort of thing was visibly upset!
As we were getting the girls, I tried joking with the CM, "Hey, you know, we'd take some of those Fastpasses!" hahaha
To which he very coolly replied, "I THINK you've got enough!"
OHHHKAY!
He showed us the way out, and I had to speak up and ask him where we could get the ice cream. I promised the kids ice cream, they were going to get it! He took us to the ice cream parlor and said to us, "Just so you know, you can NEVER do this again." Ok, nice meeting you too, you jerk.

We got our ice cream, and for a minute we all sat in stunned silence. Ok, it probably wasn't a whole minute! Then, we chatted about how rudely we had just been treated! I felt pretty bad, because I had told Brian and my parents that a Disney tour wasn't going to be like a timeshare tour somewhere else.

I was right.

It was MUCH worse than a regular timeshare tour! As Brian put it, we were treated like we weren't worthy to be there.

The ice cream was ok, and there was a train that went around the room, although I don't recall if it was working then or not. I noticed that everyone else coming in for ice cream had a little bag with a book in it. I wasn't happy that we had been treated so badly, and we hadn't received the information about the resorts that we should have received! I wanted a cute little bag and cool looking book dog gone it! And, I obsessed over this for quite some time!

We all sat and chatted while we waited for the girls to finish eating their ice cream.

SANY0643.JPG

There were lots of open tables, so we didn't feel the need to rush them. However, one of the CMs working there came over to us and said, "Please take your dirty dishes up to the counter." Which, was not to hard to figure out from her tone and manner meant, "Please get out of here now." Personally, since this CM had time on her hands to come over to our table to tell us to take care of our dirty dishes, she could have collected them herself just to be nice.

What a lovely end to our fantastic DVC tour. Honestly, Brian and I knew we weren't going to be able to afford to buy this time, but it was something that we had dreamed about doing someday. So, we truly weren't just there to waist this CMs time, as he seemed to think! However, it is quite unlikely that I could EVER convince Brian that this is a good idea after the horrible treatment we received!

On the way out, I saw some more people with their little white bags and books, and was overcome with the NEED to have one for my very own! So, I told Brian to load the kids in the van, and I was going to get me a bag and a book! Something good was going to come out of this tour if it was the LAST thing I did! So, I went inside, explained that I hadn't received a book, and the receptionist asked who did my tour. I told her that we hadn't actually been shown a room, but I gave her the name of our guide. She brought back the book and asked what had happened, so I gave her a brief overview. She apologized several times and asked if I wanted to set up another tour with a different CM. I kindly declined, telling her that I thought one time had been more than enough!

OK GUYS, IT'S SAFE TO START READING AGAIN!!!

I took my coveted book out of the bag and looked at it for awhile. Then, the kids wanted to see it, so I handed it back, to them. It's really a pretty neat book! The kids still like to look at it.

Brian talked awhile about what a jerk our CM had been (I can not emphasize enough how odd this is for Brian to do! He just doesn't enjoy a good complain fest like Heather and I do!). To which of course, Corey and I agreed. We then decided to head over to the outlet mall near the Catholic church (can't think of the name of it right now, but if you've been there, you probably know where I'm talking about). The parking lot was filled! So, we parked in the parking garage. I just love going to the Disney Outlet store! It's almost as much fun as gong to Disney World itself! And, some days it's even more fun! Arminda wanted to buy a little something for her friends Emily and Ashley, so she looked around the store for something for them. I spotted some cute name bead bracelets on a great clearance, so I looked through them to find some that would work for her to give away. I found one of them, Emily, I think, but there was no Ashley. I picked one up for one of my nieces on Brian's side of the family, and showed Arminda one that said, "Princess" which I got for her. I don't know what else we bought, and I won't bore you with the details! After leaving this outlet mall, we decided to go to Bass Pro Shop and the outlet mall on International Drive. Remember how well that had went on our first day here?? Yeah, I should have remembered that!

Brian dropped Corey and I off at the mall. We had agreed to meet up at 4:00. I asked Brian, "Are you just going to come get us?" to which, it sounded like he said, "yep." Then, he pulled away.

Corey and I shopped for awhile, then at about 10 to 4, we were done, so we sat in the food court next to the Disney Store waiting for Brian to come in. Well, 4:00 came and went, and no Brian, 4:15 came, so Corey and I decided to look around a bit to see if we could find him. We did a quick walk around the mall, and didn't find him. So, we went back into the Disney Store for and looked in there. Nope, he wasn't there. But, I did buy a cute little antenna topper to put on our rental van so it would be easier to spot.

Then, we went and sat in the food court again. Around 5:00, Corey and I went back into the Disney Store in case he had snuck in when we weren't looking. When we finally saw them coming, I must admit I was not happy. But! Before I could yell at HIM! He got mad at ME! Not fair, I tell you, NOT fair!
"WHERE have you two been!" he demanded.
I told him that we had been waiting for him since about a quarter to 4.
To which he asked, "WHERE were you waiting? I've been waiting in the parking lot for you for over an hour!"
to which I replied,
"Oh honey, I'm so sorry I must have misunderstood you. This is all my fault, why don't you just find a place to go fishing? Or we could go back to the Bass Pro Shop and buy you something."
Kissy kissy

Well, that would have been a nice way for it to end, now, wouldn't it have! But that's not exactly how it went!

To which I replied,
"I asked you if you were going to come find us, and you said you were!"
"I sat out in the firelane for 40 minutes until a police officer told me to move the van."
"Well, why in the world would you sit out there waiting for so long! Why didn't you figure out that I misunderstood you and come and get me?!?"
And, then he went silent.
I hate that!
He just got his mad look on, and didn't speak for quite some time.
So, I started apologizing for misunderstanding him.

Finally, he told me that he hadn't even gotten to go into Bass Pro Shop, because he didn't have enough time.

Then, Arminda and Lydia showed me the trucks they had made out of wood. Lydia told me that her Daddy had helped put the headlights on hers, because she couldn't get it right. (Lydia has a perfectionist problem, and thinks everything she does has to be exaclty right.) Arminda showed me hers, and then both girls started talking about how they wer going to hang them up on their walls at home.

A little while later, I again told Brian that I was sorry. Silence.
"You know, I'm not mad at you, so why don't you get over it too." (hmm, looking back, that probably didn't come out real sorrylike, did it!)
"You were mad at me first, and you know it!"
Ok, he got me there!
So, we talked about how we misunderstood each other a bit more. Then, I asked him how they had made the trucks if he didn't even get to go into Bass Pro Shop.
He sort of sheepishly said, "Well, I didn't say we didn't GO to Bass Pro Shop, I said I didn't go IN. That stuff was all outside."
Sneaky man trying to make me feel guilty about not getting to go to Bass Pro Shop!

By the time we reached McDonald's, over a half hour late..GRRR..... We were on speaking terms again. I was not happy that we were so late, and honestly I was still blaming Brian for it in my head.

When we walked in, I spotted Cindee and Morgan right away!

Well, that's probably because they were sittting by my family, but still, I would have recognized them anyway! I wanted to explain to them why we were late, but I knew if I said anything right then, it could start the "disagreement" up all over again, so I kept mum and planned on explaining what happened when Brian wasn't nearby!

I took the kids up to order. I ordered myself an ice water. However, while we were all getting drinks, I got distracted and put POP in my WATER cup!!! I felt so bad, I started to dump it out, but then I figured that would be just as wasteful. So, I drank it, and felt very guilty about it! Looking back, I wish I had gone up and paid for a pop, but for some reason that didn't occur to me then!

We settled in to eat our food, and chatted with Cindee and Shel, her fiance. Cindee and Shell entertained us with stories about the trip to China and the plane ride home! And Shell's frantic search for a carseat and his struggles to install it and get to the airport on time! They were very entertaining!

Obviously, Morgan took some pictures, but I can't find them!

Cindee made that gorgeous dress for Morgan.

Cindee then brought our Jord!!!!

So, Heather and Corey got their pictures taken with her.

Hmm, weird, I thought I got my picture taken with Jord too, but I don't see any pictures!

As you can see, Jord is a tiny little Cabbage Patch Doll. Jord is very special, when Cindee and Morgan came home from China, where Morgan adopted Cindee, he gave Jord to Morgan. (And, incase you think I have that backwards, just ask Morgan, she'll tell you that it was SHE who adopted Cindee, NOT the other way around!)

Then, the girls practiced some karate moves! Which I believe they called "The Morgan"

Then, it was "The Megan"

And, then Morgan, Lydia and Arminda did "The Lydia"

DSC08693.JPG

And, if you have NO clue what I'm talking about, these are some of the "signature poses" that the girls do when we take pictures of them in their outfits to post on the Disboutique thread! Actually, this came in REALLY handy recently! Tessa, Lydia and Arminda were flowergirls in my neices wedding, and the photographer had the girls squatting in a most uncomfortable and rather unflattering pose. So, I told them "Do the Megan!" and Tessa immediately dropped down into the beautifully ladylike Megan pose! Lydia, was too afraid of upsetting the "Mother of the Groom!" to move, so I had to go over and help her out! I got yelled at for that, but I could see her little legs were going to start cramping up at any moment! (She sometimes gets horrible cramps in her legs, which make her scream in pain. And, I did NOT want that to happen!) So, they probably got a picture of my behind in their wedding pictures!

Ok, now, where was I? Oh yes, I was writing a trip report about our Florida trip....

And, Morgan was a doll!!! Heather and I fell in love right away!!! She wanted pictures with us and with the girls.

And, then we took some pictures of Morgan and Heather and Jord, of course!

And, then we took a picture of Morgan and me

But, I dont' have a copy of it!

Brian came over and then all of a sudden disapeared.

But, there's a picture to prove he was there!

We then went over to the Lego store and the kids and Shel built racecars
(I dont' have many pictures of this, so look at these adorabel pictures of Sawyer!)

and Cindee, Me and Heather chatted away! We all had a great time together, like we'd known each other forever! And then all too soon it was time to say good-bye! Brian and Henry came back around this time, apparently they had taken a walk together.

Morgan gave us all big hugs. She is truly a darling! And we said our good-byes. I missed them already! That's the bad thing about meeting up with friends that live so far away, when you say good-bye, you know it is going to be awhile before you see them again!

The girls wanted to go to the toy store to buy some My Little Ponys, so we headed over that way. But first, of course, we stopped in for some free chocolate at Ghiradelli's!! Yummy yum yummmy yum yumm!!!

Then, on to the Toy Store. We had also planned on buying a box of Mr. Potato Head parts. However, when we started to fit parts into the regular box, we quickly realized that there was no way we were going to fit much in that tiny box! So, since I hadn't really bought the kids and souvenirs on this trip, I told them that we would get the BIG Potato Head to fill with parts! Now, that is fun! Lydia found a Buzz Lightyear ride that she had to have, and Corey found a few pieces (and then disapeared without telling me what he really really wanted!) and Arminda picked out some. Then, the stuffing of the potato began!!! I think they have it hotter in this area, so you will tire out more quicly while trying to jam as much stuff into a giant potato as possible! Just when I had everything just so, Corey came over and said, "Hey, where's the Darth Tater mask?"
"umm, it's not in there." I said.
"That was the one thing that I really wanted." Corey said.
I looked at the giant potato and carefully plotted my stratedgy of how in the world I was going to fit that big Darth Tater into this already stuffed full potato head! After careful consideration, I removed one thing that I had wanted, Mary Poppins hat, I believe, and rearanged things so that the mask would fit. I then realized that we could fit some more small things inside. So we picked out a lanyard and an autgaph book and some other cute little items and stuffed it some more! Then, came the task of trying to screw the top on the Potato Head!!! This required some brute force! But, I did it, and the top stayed on while I was paying. The CM even commented that I had done a really good job stuffing it!

I was quite proud!!!

Then, we headed over to stuff some Pony clothes into a box!

The girls already had quite a few of the outfits that were out, so they put two horses in the box, then started filling it with the clothes they didn't have. When the box was what I would consider half full, they said they were done. So, I took the box and started stuffing as much stuff in it as I could! I had fun, but the girls were actually trying to stop me! Crazy girls I thought I tought them better about getting their money's worth! Or, was I just teaching them to be greedy!??!!?? I don't know, but I was having fun stuffing the box! By the time I was done, it was bulging! And, again the CM commented on my fine stuffing job! I was just beaming by now!!!

We were all getting tired, so we decided to drive to our time share and check in. After checking in, the girls started playing with their ponies and Mr. Potato Head. Brian headed out back to the lake to do some fishing.

Our timeshare is on a gorgeous lake, with old trees all around. It's really beautiful and quite peaceful, even though it's right on 192, you don't really hear the traffic when you are in the back.

I called my Mom, because we were suppose to drive over to the Gulf Side and meet up with her cousin the next day. However, she told me that she couldn't get hold of her, so we wouldn't be going.

Brian went out and bought some groceries and popcorn, and we had a quiet evening watching TV and not doing much of anything! Brian got to fish, so he was pretty happy!

Next up: We ALMOST see REAL! LIVE! MERMAIDS!!! !

Wow what a pretty view you have at your time share. I bet the Lake was a big selling point to your fisherman!! Now how come all the other girls had customs and poor Arminda had "regular" clothes. :sad2: Poor thing she just looks so deprived. ;) :lmao: How fun that you got to me meet Jord, Cindee, Morgan and Shel!! I'd have to say this was a pretty productive trip as far as putting faces with names!! I hope Casey got better. I do not remember getting sick like that when my friend was about to visit. ;) I bet she was sad to have spent the last 2 days of the trip on the couch! Yeah for the father daughter day for Courntey though! I bet that was really special for them!
So sorry to hear about the DVC tour what a jerk!! I am glad you told someone how you all were treated!!

Great TR!
I am shocked at how rude your DVC CM was:scared1: :scared1: If I were you I would make a formal complaint about him! We toured the ones at BWV a few yrs ago and every one was so sweet! Then when we bought our dvc at Doorway To dreams we had no intentions of buying George was just humoring me with Disney stuff. Our CM and every one there was nicer then nice. I am still surprised the George was excited to do it. The CM there are still incredibly sweet even AFTER we have already became members. In fact they are having a big event there this weekend with Characters and a bunch of fun stuff. The last event was so much fun and once again everyone was so sweet. Don't let that idiot CM ruin your dream of a DVC one day.

Is your Time share the Vistana? I think that is what it is called. I can't remember what street it is on. We stayed at my SIL time share there(Vistana) last time we went.

Have you had Lydia's leg cramps looked at by her ped? Kyle gets them all the time. At 1st I thought he was being a drama queen which he can tend to be. Then after quit awhile of him complaining I decided I better take him seriously. Well his ped and my orthopedic dr whom I also had check hs legs, both said they think it is growing pains. Of course I still wonder if they are wrong but I trust them both so much I guess they are right.

:scared1:

I just want to interject that Teresa and I went to the same high school, 5 years apart. This does NOT sound like my high school! The cheerleaders I went to school with would not lower themselves to speak to the likes of me! Not a single one of them was friendly! I wish I went to Miss Cammie's high school. But, I would have been a little old....

I am still astonished by the DVC tour....first off, you are such sweet nice people...its not like you went in there and were rude. And, whether you are buying or potential buyers, I just can't believe the guy was so mean and nasty. And you didn't see a room or anything? Well, I would have gone balistic...how do you stay so calm? I am glad you at least got your passes, ice cream and book. Ha....so there....dumb guy.

Anyways, I am sure that didn't help the getting "lost" at the mall. It was sure great that you got to meet Cindy and Jord and have a nice time at Mickey D's. I sure hope poor Casey feels better  I was going to say it sounds like dehydration or something when Heather was mentioning it in her trippie. So did you take her to Urgent Care...I am a big proponent of that place....we have a wonderful UC near us and I love the doctor there :lovestruc He helped diagnose DD3 with pneumonia when her regular pediatrician was ignoring my pleas for help...dumb doctor. Perhaps he is the brother of the DVC guy  OK I am rambling now....sorry....Looking forward to seeing how you spend your next day now that you have a change in plans! :woohoo:

Wow! I cannot get over how rude that cm was! I don't remember us taking a tour before buying but that was before it was so popular (or a best kept secret, lol).

Your family does seem to have trouble with the where and when to meet! Maybe you should make everyone repeat the plans out loud before separating. I hope you and Brian made up!

Megan loves the pictures of the girls at McDonalds! She is a bit embarrassed about the Megan. She said, I just learned to sit that way from Cinderella. It's not really the Megan. She loved the Tessa and the Lydia though.

She also liked the pictures of Courtney with the characters. Looked like they had fun (poor Casey)!

You guys sure have had your share of rude CM's this trip! We would love to buy DVC too (Ok so DD and I would love it - DH not so much) but it is a lot of money upfront plus the monthly fees. Now, I really want to know what was actually wrong with poor Casey - I hope you and Heather don't keep us in suspense much longer.

I don't have a good lip thermometer. But, my back of hand thermometer is pretty accurate. I guess that's because I have HOT lips- sssssssssss!!

Thanks for clearing up why mom and dad didn't just ride with us to DTD. Now I remember!

Don't you just LOVE Courtney's outfit! I wonder where she got that...

I'll say Disney is bad at keeping secrets! They advertise that DVC all over the place!

I LOVED your psycho time share guy warning!

That CM at the DVC has my BLOOD BOILING!!!!! How DARE he treat my family like that!! I was just talking to Mom on the phone and she said he was "BEYOND rude"! He made her and Dad feel really stupid for being there at all! You don't make my family feel stupid and hur their feelings. What's his name? I'll give him a piece of my mind!! They treated you like 2nd class citizens! Let me at 'em!!!

I honestly bought the first story where you apologized to Brian and got all kissy kissy. I have seen you do that before!

I included that same picture with Cindee, but I edited it to cut out 1/2 of my ginormous arm!

I'm sure the picture of your behind in the wedding pictures was more flattering than the pictures of the mother of the groom "shaking her groove thing" on the dance floor!

I love how you turned stuffing the Mr. Potato Head box into an epic adventure!

Your timeshare is GORGEOUS! I had never been there before this trip. So, I just pictured a boring little hotel like thing. Now I see why you want to go there every year!

I just realized that I have NO idea what you did the next day!! I can't wait to read your next installment!

I just wanted to say, that you and I would have been best buddies!! Truth be told, I hated high school. I hated the constant pressure of everyone always watching who you talked to...it drove me insane. Obviously. *ahem* I was really friends with everyone. I was! I never understood what was so prestigious about wearing polyester outfits and jumping around like a maniac in front a crowd of people. I just liked the gymnastics part of it. Everything else was poo.

:goodvibes

OH MY WORD Miss TERESAJOY!!! I so COMPLETELY second Heather on wanting to beat the peawaddin out of that OUTRAGEOUSLY RUDE CM!!! What on EARTH was he thinking?! I'm nervous about doing a DVC tour if that is how people are treated. What in the heck do they think the tours are even for?! So people can look and decide and mull it over. Making people feel stupid and asking what they were promised is SO out of line!!! Jay would NOT be able to handle that. He'd be yelling at someone...He doesn't take kindly to rude treatment by anyone. He's a BIG fan of the Golden Rule and if you don't follow it...expect some backlash! Had Jay been there while y'all were there, he'd have yelled at the CM for treating y'all that way! Of course he'd be shouting OVER me. I read stuff like that and I can feel my temper getting all het up! I then have to say outloud what I would have said had I been there.

here's the formula: :shamrock:+ = :furious:

Just so you know, I put that RUDE CM in his place!!!

Really, Jay is not the type to buy under any pressure. We do intend to buy into DVC, but we certainly won't decide the day we do the tour. What do those nitwits expect? RAR!

Good for you for going back and getting your book and telling someone about being treated SO rudely! That is how we stop abuse in this world...by not keeping the secret!! :)

I love that you felt guilty over what probably amounts to a penny's worth of soda...or pop as y'all call it! That stuff is so inexpensive the McDonald's person probably would have told you not to sweat it. Don't feel guilty. Give a penny to the Ronald McDonald house and y'all will be even steven!!

I do hope poor Casey was okay!

OH and your timeshare looks LOVELY!!!

and cute pictures of Courtney and her papa!!!

YAY! can't wait for more!!!

 for you b/c that CM was such a JERK!

Poor Casey. I'm usually quite good at the old lip thermometer. I rarely use the "real" one. Of course my readings are "slight fever, high fever and no fever" but it works for me. That is really sweet that Courney and David got to have a daddy-daughter date. I can not believe your DVC "tour" experience!!!! I would have gone all Donald Duck on them for sure! I have always wanted to do this because I think we will eventually, someday buy in but we never want to waste valuable Disneyworld time doing it. I think we'll see the presentation at Disneyland, especially now! And I love to hear what you bought. You can not bore me with details of shopping! Morgan looks so pretty in her minnie dot dress! How lucky you got to hear her adoption story in person! To me, "The Lydia" is twirling outside in the yard :rotfl: We got the "big potato head" too. It was fun. There's always room for a few more arms or eyes! :rotfl: "packin' the parts" is a true talent. What resort is your timeshare? We are staying in a timeshare in February and I just had to randomly pick one that was available for exchange. :confused3

Poor Casey. And I'm sorry about DVC CM-the one on my tour was sweet as could be.
