Great TR!

I love the idea of having all the kids write down what they wanted to do at each park. I need to tell my best friend that for our trip. With 5 kids hopefully they will have some of the same things.

All of the outfits came out GREAT! I love Lydia's dress! Do you think it is to young for an 8 yr old? I adore those ruffles in the back! Need to go ask Nik if she would wear a dress like that. You know how finicky girls can be:scared1: I love it though so if she won't there is always my 2 yr old niece to make it for:rotfl:

The one picture of Lydia and Pooh was great she was literally in the air!

I have to say George and Henry would so get along! George would have absolutely made the Pocohontes comment and the Fast pass comment about scalping them!

I hope Casey wasn't sick for too long. No kids should be sick at WDW!

I don't remember the Pocahontas thing! :rotfl: I do know that Henry really wanted to go to Belle's storytime. :confused3

I don't have all those pictures of Sawyer from the character line behind the rope. Corey didn't share! No fair!

Oh how I miss my pooh bear with his little red bib. He was an "original beanie baby". He felt just like a beanie baby, but he was from the 70's. Mom and Dad bought me another one, but he just wasn't the same.

Getting jiggy with Tigger- :lmao:

Primeval Whirl! That's what that masochistic ride is called!

"Please stand before exiting vehicle"- that is SOOO funny!

In that picture of us on Expedition Everest, Tessa is clutching my hand for dear life! How sweet that you asked me if I was okay on the ride!

I forgot about the no lids! I do remember that we spilled a few drinks at lunch time, though!

I'm pretty sure it was Henry that spotted Chantel first! I was shocked!

You've even got pictures of that bike that Henry almost catapulted a little girl into the air on! Corey! You cheated me out of all sorts of pictures!!1

I bet Tessa WAS telling Arminda that it wasn't fair about the ice cream. :rotfl: Actually, I have it on tape that they are discussing how funny those zebra things would look if they were pregnant.

I LOVED Lydia's dress! I don't know why it didn't get more comments! Although, I do remember people pointing and saying it was cute earlier in the day. They just didn't talk to you directly.

I will not be showing Tessa pictures of Lilo and Stitch. Every time we saw them, the line was SOOO long that I didn't let her get in it. Maybe it was because they spent 10 minutes per family for pictures!

I LOVE the pictures of all of your kids sleeping in the car! How CUUUUTE!

Poor little Casey. :sad2: She is not a complainer, so you know if she says she's sick, she's SICK!

Great update

I love AK! And my DH also loves the meet & greet with Pocahontas!

I would have sought you out to compliment the Wild Minnie Dress...I guess the overwhelming crowds (it looked really crowded in your pics!) at AK that day didn't appreciate a beatiful custom when they see it.

You guys got some great family pictures that day.

I forgot to mention in my TR that we were using Tourguide Mike. This was a "green" day for the park and this is a pretty low season. But, it WAS really crowded!

The one day we didn't go with TourGuide Mike's best park for the day, was the day we had the smallest crowds! :confused3

I know there are those out there that love him, but I think he missed the mark on the first 2 weeks in May!

Pocahontas is hot! Tom always wants the kids to see her too.

Poor Teresa, that is one of my favorite AK outfits. I love all the ruffles in the back. I'm glad you finally got some feedback though.

My favorite picture is Tessa with her hand on her hip, telling Arminda about getting free deserts when it was clearly not her birthday anymore! I can just picture her lecturing her. Those girls are so cute!

Poor Casey! I hope she feels better in the next installment!

Another great update!

Sometimes it's fun to be with the big group,
and sometimes it's fun to be with a smaller group,
and sometimes it's fun just to be with your own family! :goodvibes

You've got a couple of nice hidden mickey pics.
You should post them on the Hidden mickey thread:

Looking forward to reading more!

What a bummer to be sick on vacation! No fun.:sad2:

Sounds like you guys had a great day. I have to admit that AK is not my most favorite park. It just always seems too hot and too easy to get lost there.

Teresa great installment. I love all the pictures of the parade as I tend to take a lot of pictures of parades, see we're twins. Oh and one more thing - I love Lydia's dress too

Ok I made it now I can sleep peacefully! Good Night!

I don't think I said this before
I am glad your Cat was found! And I have had that "cat came back" somng stuck in my head all day! It just pops in there at random times! Strange huh? :rotfl: yep I'm tired!

I sing that song everytime I see him!!! It is so odd having him back! On one hand, it's like he never left, and then again it's like "WOW I thought we'd never see him again!"

He does seem to have a bit of an upset stomach. I am wondering if he is eating too much now that he's home.

Another great report, Teresa! Love Lydia's animal kingdom dress, especially all the ruffles on the back...I am working on a dress with ruffles on the back for my dd, and hope it turns out just as cute as yours. I have never stayed long enough at Animal Kingdom to see the parade- that will be on our to-do list when we go next time.

Thank you!!! I'm sure yours will be gorgeous too! The parade was really fun! I did feel bad for the CMs who had to pull those contraptions around the park though! They looked REALLY tired!

It was Lydia's idea to make a list, I thought it was pretty smart of her!
I was wondering if anyone would notice Lydia's feet weren't touching the ground!!! Good eye!
Poor poor Casey, she was S I C K!!!! Thank goodness the air conditioning was fixed at this point!

I don't remember the Pocahontas thing! :rotfl: I do know that Henry really wanted to go to Belle's storytime. :confused3

Poor little Casey. :sad2: She is not a complainer, so you know if she says she's sick, she's SICK!

I'll have to mention to corey your missing pictures. I have to check the laptop to make sure I have them all, so I'm guessing that the ones I don't have on my desktop are the ones you don't have either!

Poor Henry and Brian missing Pocahontas! It gave them something to bond over though! I think they were having a good day together too!

Don't my babies look cute all asleep like that!

I forgot to mention in my TR that we were using Tourguide Mike. This was a "green" day for the park and this is a pretty low season. But, it WAS really crowded!

yeah, I thought so too. tsk tsk tsk Mike!

:rotfl: You said Pocahontas was hot!!! Hmm, come to think of it, most of the parents in that line WERE men!

I'm glad you liked the outfit!! I think the "problem" was that Tessa and Sawyer's outfits were so different and unique that people just didn't think to comment on Lydia's. At least, that's what I keep telling myself!!!! :rolleyes1

I will hve to tell Corey about the Hidden Mickey thread! He took all those, so I should let him post them.

And, hey Sarah, I see that the city was kind enough to relandscape your front yard!!! WOW! First a pond, now landscaping, what will be next??

What a bummer to be sick on vacation! No fun.:sad2:

Sounds like you guys had a great day. I have to admit that AK is not my most favorite park. It just always seems too hot and too easy to get lost there.
I know, poor little girl! If you look back at some of the pictures, she wasn't looking so good in a few of them, but we didn't think much of it at the time. I think she didn't get enough water when she went to the parks with her parents, and I don't think that helped matters.

Teresa great installment. I love all the pictures of the parade as I tend to take a lot of pictures of parades, see we're twins. Oh and one more thing - I love Lydia's dress too

Thank you!!! I'm glad you take pictures of the parades too!!!! My long lost twin!!!!

Thank you about Lydia's dress!!

Great update Teresa! I loved Lydia's dress and cute Mickey Head hair clip!! So cute! Arminda is such a sweetie too! You all looked like you were really enjoying the day! Loved the update and pics! :thumbsup2 I wish I could meet you in Feb. Any chance of you being able to make it???:confused3

yeah, I thought so too. tsk tsk tsk Mike!

Everyone always says TGM is the way to go, but we do pretty well following our own thing (w/ a little input from another touring site) and haven't seen the need to spend more $ on our WDW trips. Glad to know I wasn't missing out on anything.

I will hve to tell Corey about the Hidden Mickey thread! He took all those, so I should let him post them.

Yeah, definately tell Corey. It's a fun thread.

And, hey Sarah, I see that the city was kind enough to relandscape your front yard!!! WOW! First a pond, now landscaping, what will be next??

Isn't that nice? They really are talented.
Too bad Henry is no longer my neighbor. He could be sharing the love.
Unfortunately, the pond is no more. Sigh.
But the beauty of the tree roots and dirt clumps makes up for it,
don't ya thank???

Awesome update!! My Dh has a 'thing' for Belle!! LOL, those guys and the princesses!!! I loved Lydia's dress, it was very pretty, and I would have definalty commented on it! The pics were great, you guys are just such a wonderful happy family! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful memories with us!

Now that the kids are in bed, I was finally able to read the next installment. Awesome as always! I thought Lydia's dress was darling. I don't know if I said anything when I met you, though. :headache: Sorry if I didn't. Must've been the excitement of meeting the Diser Sisters!

Love all the pics, but the cutest was everyone asleep in the van.

Pocahontas is hot! Tom always wants the kids to see her too.

:rotfl2: Steph you never fail to make me snort laugh...luckily Jay is at work and missed the evidence that I'm not unfailingly lady like in my laughter...

Pocahontas is hot...somehow she doesn't seem nearly as hussy as Jasmine!

Okay now...Miss Teresa Joy...not only can you sew...you have "hair do" talent as well. Lydia's hair is always done so nicely. I simply CANNOT do those sorts of things with Sally's hair...partly b/c she's got incredibly heavy, thick Italian hair and it just won't stay...but I must say, looking at Lyddie's hair makes me rather GREEN with envy...in a nice way. Of course it makes sense that sewers are hair do-ers too...I mean look at Steph's Megan's hair...always super cute intricate French braids...

JEALOUS!!!

I absolutely ADORE Lyida's Wild Minnie dress. Seriously...you have to have an artistic eye to put prints together so they look pulled together and not insane. You pulled it off girl! Your pretty baby looked FABULOUS!!!

I love all the family pictures:lovestruc ...even though it appears y'all had to fight mannerless louts all day to get some FAMILY ONLY pictures with characters! My word...has the whole "wait your turn" lesson we all learn in kindergarten been totally abandoned in this country?!

;)

Poor Casey...hope she got better. See...y'all should have had the "No getting sick at Disney" rule in place...it works. I swear.

:thumbsup2

I CAN'T WAIT to hear about the DVC tour...Jay and I are doing that too!!!:cool1:

great installment dahlin!!!

Happy to provide a snort or two when I can! :thumbsup2 Tom has always had a thing for long dark haired beauties: how he ended up with a fair skinned blond I will never know! He's just lucky, I guess. ;)

I think Teresa has it easy because Lydia's hair is beautiful no matter what she does to it: that girl has model hair! I love when she braids it and then takes it out and it is all beautiful curls. Sally's hair sounds like Tom's sister's, she got all the Italian blood in her hair and it is beautiful. I bet when Sally grows up she will have men falling all over her.

Learning how to do French braids is what super cool kids do at band camp while gossiping about how skanky the cheerleaders are. Sorry you were left out, Miss Cammie.

Seriously, I think I just wet myself...that was the funniest flippin' thing I have read in a while!!!
"Learning how to do French braids is what super cool kids do at band camp while gossiping about how skanky the cheerleaders are."
If you were never in band you cannot appreciate the truth in that statement!!! hahahaha!!!!!

Ah! I loved her outfit and it took that long to get a comment! Those people have no taste!:snooty: Another great report!

Thanks!!! The clip is from BBB, you get that and the crown. I have worn it a few times myself. The clip I mean, I have my own tiaras!

I keep hoping by some miracle I'll come into some great amount of money and be able to fly down to Florida for the weekend in February, but at this point, it's not in the works. I sure wish I could go and meet everyone though! It sounds like it is going to be so much fun!

Hey, where is this "other" board of yours??? PM me if it is forbidden info!

Corey has been told! Just now, actually

What a wonderful city we live in to do all these wonderful things for you!!!!! Sure makes me wish we lived in town too!! :rotfl2:

Thank you, thank you very much!!!

Oh goodness, I spend hours and hours on Lyddys hair getting it just so!!! ;) Thank you for the compliments on her hair. It is gorgeous, isn't it!!! I keep trying to get her to give it to me, and she just won't!

Poor poor Casey! I'll givey all a little spoiler, the poor child doesn't get better in the next installment either. :sad2: And, that was their last full day in Florida. Casey is not a complainer. She once wore a pair of shoes all day, and when we got home, we noticed when she took them off, that blood was soaked through her tights! They had rubbed her foot raw, but she kept walking without saying a word! :scared1: We felt so horrible!

Seriously, what's up with these people cutting lines???? Shouldn't they be kicked out of the park for that???? That and t-shirts with nasty sayings on them! oh, don't get me started on THAT one!

Brian although not thrilled with my initial suggestion of checking out DVC, as you might have noticed from his picture! :rotfl: But, by the time Cori was done talking to us, he was really sort of looking forward to it!

Plus, Cori told me she loved Lydia's dress and that I should try to sell them. I forgot to put that part in my report! The free ice cream and gift certificates didn't hurt the situation!
I think Teresa has it easy because Lydia's hair is beautiful no matter what she does to it: that girl has model hair! I love when she braids it and then takes it out and it is all beautiful curls. Aww come on now Steph!!! You went and told on me!!! :rotfl: Actually, it's even easier, becasue I don't even have to braid it to get it to curl, it's just got that wave in it! Sometimes more than others!

I wasn't cool enough for band camp. (the band director wouldn't let me be in band, because I couldn't play holiday or religious music! I played an awesome saxophone in 6th grade though! :rotfl2: )
But, I did learn to French braid by watching Phil Donohue, they had someone on that showed how it was done, and I got out my Barbie styling head and practiced on that. Of course, my Mom told me that I wasn't doing it right, but I really think I was! I haven't changed my technique since then, and it looks lke everyone elses French braids. Not that I have been dwelling on that for the past 30 some years...:rolleyes1 ... :rotfl:

In my high school, the cheerleaders were all really nice and smart. :cheer2:

Just thought I'd throw that out there!

SKANKY?! We were SKANKY?! I thought we were community leaders and ambassadors of goodwill...:snooty:

WE WERE!

*ahem*

:rotfl2: :lmao:

I always wondered why the band girls gave us such evil eyed looks. Little did I know that the secret of French braiding was being kept from me!:sad1:

really...I was such a dork in high school. I studied for fun...I took advanced biology as an ELECTIVE...I was HUGE into my church youth group...cheerleading was just something I did b/c that's what you do when you are a girl in Texas...you do pageants and cheerleading.

at least in MY neighborhood!

oh Steph I imagine we would have been fabulous friends in high school. We have a very similar sense of humor!:lmao: :goodvibes

1) WHAT?!?! :faint: That curl cannot be natural; it is too perfect! I assumed that it much be braided, lol. Ok, now it is official: LYDIA HAS MODEL HAIR! Get that girl a contract!

2) What a horrible band director! We wore uniforms that were pants and we had a girl who couldn't wear them for religious reasons, and our band director had no problem letting her wear a skirt. I can't believe he let a rockin' sax player get away like that! Hey, my sister played sax too.

3) See, I used to practice on my little sister, a Barbie head would have been a lot less whiny! My mother would not let us play with Barbies though: she said they were demeaning to women. She about fainted when Megan asked for a Barbie bike for Christmas and we bought her one. You'd think I was a traitor to the cause. OHHHH, my mother did not approve of my french braids either, lol!

4) I am sure YOUR cheerleaders were nice a smart, miss suck up!

Our cheerleaders were skanky! They were mean cows who wore too much make up and were awful to everyone. They about had a stroke when a girl transferred in who could actually tumble. I thought they would go green with envy, because of course they had to let her on. She was sweet and nice, which I'm sure rankled them all the more.

I didn't go to the feeder middle schools so I wasn't even worth their scorn but my best friend had many run ins with them and wrote humorous things in our yearbooks about them. Well, humorous to immature band geeks anyway, lol.
