Lovin the TR more & more!! Fantastic job!!
Tessa started to get a bit crabby. I told her that if she didn't stop the whining I was going to take her picture and show it to Luke (her future husband) and my friends on the internet. Since I always keep my promises, here you are.

Love that! She couldn't BELIEVE that those animals had stuck their heads through the wall.

She leaned over and whispered "Mom, are they real?" Here was my opportunity to dip into the wisdom of "The Great Miss Cammie" (if you haven't read her TR, you really should). I said "That depends, do you believe that they're real?" She said "Yes." So, I said "Well, then they are real. That's Disney Magic." She looked at me and smiled a huge smile, her eyes all lit up and just said "Wow!"
Thank you!!Lovin the TR more & more!! Fantastic job!!
I was getting pretty tired, but it was our first day, so I had the adrenaline going!Great installment Heather!!!I love the fact that you made it on all of those attractions after lunch...I am usually whopped. Thanks for cheering me up tonight!!!

Awww...that is SOOO sweet!!Tessa, your picture was kind of cute. How come most of the pictures are of Tessa? I love you. Where's a picture of Tessa at her home? From Luke
I cannot tell you how happy it makes me that I caught you off guard and made you laugh!I was crackying up the whole time, but this REALLY had me laughing:
Check out that woman on her cell phone. Can you tell what time it is by looking at her shadow? If you can, you are super-cool!
It was so unexpected.
I never would have thought to tell her that if I hadn't read CampbellScott's TR!Love that!![]()
Heather, you are hilarious!
1. Pirates of the Pirate Bean, that is a hoot!
2. The story about the strangers rooting around for a penny and then making one for themselves. OMG. Hahaha!
3. Oh and my husband gets the same way waiting in food lines. Whatever. What's their deal anyway? Geesh. Men!
Yes, Sawyer's cup was rescued SEVERAL times by Henry! I think he just reached through the fence and got it, but I can't remember for sure.We must know did you rescue Sawyers lost cup???? Did some have to go "over the wall" to retrieve it?
I've always wanted to see the country bears.
I prefer Aladdin to Dumbo too. I think it is a longer ride too. Watch out for the camels!! I was wondering why I got a face full of water the first time I went on that ride, then I realized what was happening.![]()
Who's up for a good game of "dodge the camel spit"?? Otherwise entitled "Try to get cool from a refreshing spray of camel saliva"![]()
Can't wait to see all the kids with the Anastasia, Dresella and that blonde girl!![]()
Thanks for the Shout Out!!!That is SO how Disney magic works! I had to loudly "quiet" laugh this morning at the pictures of Tessa looking upset!
she's so cute! (I had to quiet laugh b/c I didn't want to wake up ANYBODY...I want AT LEAST another 45 minutes of solitude!)
I have an opposite Johnny Depp feeling...I love me some Captain Jack...Johnny Depp...not so much. So I have decided that Captain Jack Sparrow is his own entity and merely resembles the broody Johnny Depp.
Can't wait to hear more...![]()
The rest of my family had brought lunches into the park, but I wanted to eat at Pecos Bills. Okay, that's not quite the reason...
When we were kids, my parents would never buy us food in the parks. We always had to go back to the car to eat. Yes, lunch time would come and we'd have to get back on the monorail, take the tram, and sit in our HOT car and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (or, more often, turkey sandwiches). It is not a childhood memory that I cherish. I always wanted to eat in the restaurants like the other families. So, I avoided packing a lunch on any day of our vacation, even if we weren't going to go out to the car to eat it. It's just a childhood dream type thing.

Aaaahhh...more air conditioned bliss! Tessa spotted a squished penny machine inside, and burst out cheerfully "A SQUISHED PENNY MACHINE!!!!" She then asked for her "squished penny tube". I had used an empty mini-m&m container and put a sticker that said "Tessa's squished penny money" on it. Then, I filled it up with quarters and pennies.
Unfortunately, the squished penny tube was still packed in our luggage back at the house. Henry and I had 2 quarters between us, but no penny. So, she was kind of sad about that.

A childless (at least they didn't have a kid with them) couple nearby saw us rummaging for a penny and looked sympathetically at Tessa. They started rummaging through their pockets and purse looking for some change. I thought that was so sweet that they were going to offer Tessa a penny. I stood nearby, not letting on that I heard them looking for a penny. They found one!!! Then, they went over to the squished penny machine, got themselves a nice, shiny squished penny, and put it in their pocket! So much for anticipating a little Disney magic!
Sawyer was clapping his hands and bouncing along to the music. He absolutely LOVED it!!
There was a very scared looking woman in line behind us. She was worrying that this would be a really scary ride. I know this because I was born and raised an eavesdropper. She was asking her family (about 10 of them, all together) what kind of ride this was- was it a roller coaster or what? None of them knew, they'd never been there.
Being the empathetic person that I am, I wanted to calm her fears. I turned to her and said "It's not very scary at all. There's only one part where you go upside down and the rest is pretty calm." At this point, she looked ready to bolt, so I quickly told her "No, I'm kidding! It's a very calm little boat ride, it's not a roller coaster or anything." She still seemed nervous, so I told her it was "It's a Small World" with pirates. This seemed to make her feel better and I got the satisfaction of teasing a complete stranger.
This guy's foot has fascinated me since I was a kid.

It was only after I exited the ride that I realized I wasn't supposed to be using my flash. OOPS! So sorry.
We tried calling the family one more time after we got off the ride. Again with the "click, click, static." I gave up at that point and just turned it off because the noise was driving me nuts and it was close to 3:00. We started heading up to meet the family at Expedition Hall when we saw that there was NO line at Aladdin's Magic Carpets!! I'd never ridden it before. So, we thought we should get on it since we missed Dumbo that morning.
