Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

Thank you! Yeah, I'm not sure what those people in Minnie's house were thinking. :confused3

Yeah, I'm sad it's coming to an end, that's why I'm taking so long to update....yeah....that sounds about right. :thumbsup2

I did have a huge scare last week. Sawyer had a seizure. He was feeling kind of sick and then his fever spiked really fast. Then, he started having a seizure. I called 911 and the ambulance was 1/2 hour away! So, I drove him to the hospital myself. The seizure lasted for about a 1 1/2 minutes, but it seemed like an eternity. The scariest part was when he'd been in the hospital for about an hour, the doctor wanted to see him walk. We put him on the floor and he couldn't walk. He couldn't even hold his head up, it just flopped to the side. It was AWFUL! I thought he had a stroke or something. But, 1/2 hour later, he was able to walk normally. It was such a scary day.

That's not the reason I haven't updated, but it's a pretty good excuse anyway!

I'll try and get an update written on Friday night/Saturday morning, but I can't promise anything!

Actually, I was hoping to have you write the last few installments of my TR!! :thumbsup2

If anyone hasn't read Maroo's TR, you really have to go read it!!

I give you permission to take as long as you need to get over that! Scary indeed! :grouphug:

Has everything settled down with Sawyer?
Was it one of those get too hot seizures that probably wont happen again?
Hope so....Poor Sawyer......Poor you! Scary indeed

It is a good excuse for not updating though, I shall allow it :)

Yes, Sawyer is fine now. It was a febrile seizure due to his fever spiking. They said he's more likely to have another one the next time he gets a fever. But, he will probably outgrow it by the time he is 5. I'm going to get some Tylenol suppositories to keep on hand.

Thank you for allowing it! ;)

Thank you for the permission.

Hi there Heather......just checkin in to see if there was an update. :goodvibes Do you still remember what happened at the end of the trip??? hahahaah just kiddin....love ya sis! :goodvibes

So, Mom didn't tell you that we were going to Magic Kingdom that day too???

That is really funny about Mom forgetting about the monorail. Brian does that sometimes too!

I hate those dumb cars. Stinky, noisy, long line, no fun.

You mean you WEREN'T looking forward to the line??

I was going into third grade, so it WAS the Cedar Point Bumper Car Fire of '78. That was scary! But, Dad was such a hero! He LEAPED over the fence, and ran (YES!! DAD RAN!) and grabbed you out!!!!! It was pretty cool!

I like the way you cut off Henry's face, and Sawyer looks all grumpy and say, "Henry's mood was improving!"!!!! SURE it was!

I'm very proud of Dad for not going on the Haunted Mansion!

Good kids you have fast forwarding that icky part of the video!

WHAT!!!! You have NEVER heard of a kid being scared on the Haunted Mansion??!!???!!!???!!!?!?!?!?!?! HELLO!! Do I need to tell that story again????
'

Funny that you saw Seth at the park! I saw Luke a lot! and other miscellaneous Disboutiquer children!

I like the picture of you and Tessa on the Barnstormer!

Removed you little stinker and Tessa and Sawyer!! So true, so true!

I like the picture of the kids looking up the fireplace. My kids have never done that!

Awww, baby Tessa is so cute! That was a fun trip!

People get weird in Minnie's house! Remember the crazy nutso lady of 07?? WEIRDO!

I love Sawyer stomping around in the garden!

Nice "persuasion" technique!

I love the old picture of Henry and baby Tessa! I loved that little Snow White dress!

And in case anyone didn't know, I could read Heather's installment, because I updated MY Trip report today!!! I won't leave you hangin like Heather did though! I finish the whole day!

So, come on over, take some notes and post a comment! This is one of your last chances!!! Only one more installment to go!

Hey smarty-pants Cathy, yes I do remember what happened the last day (with a little help from my notes and pictures, that its)! :snooty:

Thanks for the birthday wishes Sarah! I did have a really nice birthday, although Henry got me a cake a week early. :confused3 I can't complain, it's the first time he ever got me one!

Teresa, I loved your comments!

Now I am motivated to finish this day and start on the next day. But, I can't find the jump drive so I can transfer video from the desktop to the laptop. Teresa knows, I'm sure, why video is very important in this installment!!

Tehehehe! I hope you can find your cable! I did read your sisters update...that should hold me for a few days anyways...:rotfl:

We wrangled Sawyer into the stroller and headed off to Peter Pan. He was un-pleased about this new turn of events, so I got out the crackers!

DSC09157_360x480.jpg

There wasn't a line for the teacups, so Grandma and Grandpa took Tessa for a spin while Henry and I avoided the whole "let's spin until we puke" thing.

DSC09161_640x480.jpg

Finally, we made it over to Peter Pan. Henry went to park the stoller and I wanted to get a picture of the kids in their outfits in front of the sign. Doesn't mom look cute, too?

DSC09165_360x480.jpg

I'm surprised we only rode Peter Pan twice on this trip, since we had 10 day park hoppers (but only used 9 of them). The last time we were here, we rode it 6 times in a row. But, it's more crowded in May than February, so it was never a walk-on. As much as I like the Peter Pan ride, it's not worth much of a wait!

DSC09168_360x480.jpg

Sawyer's making quite a dent in that bag of crackers.

DSC09169_360x480.jpg

Henry is anxiously anticipating what is behind those doors!

DSC09171_640x480.jpg

Look it's Ariel! When you take pictures with flash on these rides, you can see why they're best left in the dark.

DSC09174_640x480.jpg

Mom and Dad got in the ship behind us, which turned out great for picture purposes!

673_640x480.jpg

After Peter Pan, mom and dad decided to split. They took off for Mom's favorite park, Animal Kingdom. Yeah, I think that's weird, too. But, they had a great time over there.

image738_640x425.jpg

image736_640x425.jpg

image735_319x480.jpg

Looking at these pictures, it amazes me how much weight my mom and dad have lost since May! Dad was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago. But, he has been controlling his blood sugar with diet and exercise. He has lost SO much weight, and so has mom! He has no belly bulge at all anymore. I'm so proud of him! If only I could follow in their weight loss footsteps!

I was hoping to have the kids meet Peter Pan and Wendy while we were there. So, we went over to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Peter and Wendy weren't around, so we went on the ride. Tessa sat on some props while we waited in line.

675_360x480.jpg

This time Sawyer was wide awake through the whole ride. He was pretty concerned, but didn't seem too scared. Unfortunately, there were no unsuspecting POTC first-timers to scare this time. So, the ride was pretty uneventful.

When we exited the ride, we saw Captain Hook and Smee walking to their meet 'n greet. But, we also saw a line that looked like it might lead to Peter Pan and Wendy. I really wanted to meet Captain Hook, but we opted for Peter and Wendy since the kids were all Peter Pan-ed up.

As we got in line, Peter made a run for it. He just took off running and then ran back to the meet area.

It looked like maybe he was trying to pretend he was flying, or doing something faciful. But, he just looked stupid. :confused3 The other people in line were looking at him as if they thought he may be insane.

I was right there with them.

He seemed to be very nervous and very un-Peter Pan like. He was making an effort, at least.

Peter had nothing on "Wendy". There has been some talk about this Wendy around the Disboards. We are calling "her" the "Wendy of questionable gender". The same individual also plays the "Alice of questionable gender"

She is very man-ish. She is not very friendly AT ALL. She never mentioned Tessa's Peter Pan outfit. Peter did try to get her to look at it, but she completely ignored him.

DSC09175_360x480.jpg

Wendy smiled as if she were in pain. I'm quite certain she must be a relative of the person who does the hiring.

676_360x480.jpg

In case you hadn't noticed, I was unimpressed with Wendy and Peter Pan.

DSC09179_360x480.jpg

We hadn't planned on staying at the park all day. Everyone was pretty tired after 2 weeks of park touring. But, I did want to get in one more thing. I REALLY wanted to go to Belle's Story Time.

I made Tessa's Belle dress with the intention of having her wear it to Belle's Story Time. So, we made a pit stop in the bathroom to change. If you think this is odd behavior, you really need to hang out with the disboutiquers more.:thumbsup2

We made it over there a few minutes before the show started. I picked a spot in the middle row on one of the benches. I thought Tessa would be spotted pretty easily there. Although, I would have much rather sat in the shade.

We once agained entertained Sawyer with some food.

DSC09181_360x480.jpg

But, he really wanted my camera...

DSC09183_360x480.jpg

We distracted him with some Cheerios and he had a good 'ol time putting them into a little puddle on the ground.

DSC09185_360x480.jpg

We were busy watching Sawyer play with the puddle when I looked up to see this lovely creature.

DSC09184_360x480.jpg

It was Belle!!! I didn't know Teresa was going to be in the park that day, so I was happily surprised to see her! What were the odds that we both were there at the same time? Pretty cool!

We were all anxiously waiting for them to come and get the kids they chose to be part of the show. They kept choosing kids, when they finally came over and asked Tessa if she wanted to be in the show!! Yay!!

I was so excited!! Tessa was excited, but nervous. She had been looking forward to being chosen. But, I told her that there would be lots of other kids there, so she might not get to go up on stage.

She was Chip, so she got to be the hero of the show!

DSC09213_640x480.jpg

She was SO cute up on that stage! She didn't know if she should clap along with the people in the audience, or if she should wave, or what. But, I could see from the look on her face that she was really proud of herself.

DSC09212.jpg

Now, for your viewing pleasure, we have VIDEO!!! It is the condensed version of the Beauty and the Beast play. Corey videotaped the whole thing because he is cool like that.

After the show, the kids all got their pictures with Belle.

DSC09225_640x480.jpg

You'll see that Corey and Belle are sharing a special moment.

DSC09223_640x480.jpg

Well, I think they may have been reliving one of their first meetings. This was back in 2004, when they ate breakfast together at Cinderella's Castle. It was love at first sight.

4ac0.jpg

I also wanted a picture of just Belle and mini-Belle. Belle was SO sweet! It was wonderful! Maybe she should go give Wendy a few pointers.

DSC09226_360x480.jpg

I felt bad because Teresa had just caught up with us, but I was really ready to leave. I keep saying "We" were tired. But, it was really me. I had felt pretty rotten (lots of leg pain because of my blood disorder) throughout the whole trip. I tried to keep up, but I just couldn't do it any more! So, I really had to get out of there to go back to the house to rest.

But, first, we stopped for our final, bittersweet, photopass picture. This photopass photographer was probably one of the best we had. I was so happy that we were going to get a nice family shot with the magical castle in the background.

image725_342x480.jpg

We slowly made our way out of the park. I kept second-guessing my decision to leave so early. But, I didn't want to ruin the day by pushing myself too hard. It was such a nice day (after the initial temper tantrums). I wanted it to end on a high note.

I took one last wistful glance at the castle and tears filled my eyes.

ab2e.jpg

(that picture is of Arminda, Courtney, and Casey, taken in 2004, but you get the idea)

I had no idea when I'd be back. Henry said it would be at least 5 years before he'd come back again. Tessa would be 10 years old and Sawyer would be 7. :sad2:

As we were leaving Disney property, I snapped a picture of this sign, through my tears.

DSC09228_640x480.jpg

Yes, Henry was rolling his eyes and shaking his head at this point. I'm surprised he could still see to drive.

We went back to the house and had a nice day of swimming and relaxing. Then, I started to pack up all of our stuff. We had to leave for home the next day. :sad2:

I am planning on catching up on your trip report one of these days!!

Sure, rub it in that I missed the opening ceremony every day we went! :rotfl: I love that part, too! But, I've only seen it once.

I'm glad I have another trip coming up, too. I knew I couldn't wait FIVE years!!! I'm not sure if I'm going to write another TR or not. :confused3

Great TR!

Loved the kids outfits. So happy Tessa got to be Chip!

I totally understand getting teary eyed leaving! i did!

Tessa was so proud that she got to go up on the stage! She was so brave! I NEVER would have done that when I was a kid!

Megan and I just watched the video. She says that Tessa is the best Chip ever! She is certainly the most beautiful Chip ever! Belle looks a little less orange.

That silly Henry cannot keep you away from DW for FIVE YEARS! I would have kidnapped you myself if I had to!

I don't know how Mom and Dad can stand to do those teacups!!!

I can't believe we didnt't get on the Peter Pan ride at ALL! It's one of my favotires! But, not worth a long wait. I don't think anything is worth a long wait! Fastpass has certainly spoiled me!

Poor Ariel has a SEAM!!!! And, personally, I think she could pull her fins up a bit higher!!! I don't approve of low riders!

Animal Kingdom is right there at the top of my favorite parks too, right after Magic Kingdom that is!

I'm so proud of Mom and Dad too!!!! They looked adorable then, but they look amazing now!

I am so laughing about Peter Pan running around trying to look "fanciful" but just looking stupid!

You were right there with them!!!!! too funny, too funny! I wish I'd been there with you!

Is there a final word on Wendy/Alice???

Poor Peter, all his efforts went unapreciated!

I was so excited when Tessa got picked!!! She should have been proud!! Aunt Teresa was too!!!

Corey is pretty cool, isn't he! Best teenager EVER!

Thanks for posting that picture of Corey and Belle! I mentioned the kiss in my report but didn't think to put the picture in!!!

Oh geesh, are you TRYING to make me cry with your tearful exit of the park!!

Great update Heather, I can't believe we have only one more day left to write about!!!

Yaaaa! An update! :thumbsup2

I really loved the update and how you delicately handled the issue of the male Wendy/Alice.Yikes...tell him to get his grubby hands off Tessa too :lmao:

Big and little Belle looked so great together!!! I am so glad Tessa got picked and you were able to catch up with Teresa too. Endings are sooo sad :sad1: and when you are married to a Disney-hater (like me) who say they won't be coming back for 5 or 10 years....it just makes it all the more saddening.

But, :cheer2: :cheer2: Yaaaaaa for mom who saves the year, and now we get to see ya in Feb! I am really looking forward to it! :dance3:

Great trip report Heather.....thanks for sharing all of your pics and adventures with us! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :mickeyjum

Aww what an adorable last family picture in front of the castle. That wendy really didn't look good at all...what was disney thinking?! Tessa made an adorable chip! So sad it was the last day. :(

Bwaaaaaaaa! Sniff.

Like I wrote on T's report: at least you two are each going back before I do, or what would I do to fill all those months.
[Well, I guess I could finish MY report! LOL]

Thanks for the birthday wishes Sarah! I did have a really nice birthday, although Henry got me a cake a week early. :confused3 I can't complain, it's the first time he ever got me one!

You are welcome! :wizard:
Did he KNOW it was a week early????

Hope to see you soon!
