Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

Heather I am sooo glad your day was redemmed by 1900 Park Faire. I am going to have to make sure I get there next time I go!!! I am with you on the head back to the house thing....I couldnt believe Teresa and her family had enough energy to keep going!
So did you have AC when you got back?? I can't believe that battery was dead. Note to self....bring some 9V batteries when we rent a house in Disney....that could happen to anyone... but why was the battery $9??? :headache: I can't wait for the next installment...

Thanks for the warning about the Sawyer/Prince Charming pic! Yes, I would have spewed coffee all over my computer - it's hee-larious!!!:rotfl2:

I know! They're amazing, especially my parents!!

Our house always had AC :cool2:

Henry went down to Winn Dixie instead of WalMart (it was a little closer) for the batteries and they only sold them in a 2 pack for $9!

AWESOME installment!!
Thank you, I almost didn't recognize you with your new avatar!

:goodvibes Love this latest edition. It looks like you guys had a marvelous time at 1900 Park Faire. That was too funny about Sawyer....my DD was the same way with the "live" characters!!!

Can't wait to read more!!! popcorn::
It's weird, isn't it? You'd think they'd be more afraid of characters with giant heads and such!

SISTER IN LAW!!!!! NOT, sister!!! :rotfl2:

The Fairy Godmother was trying to get them to put their hands up in the air like she hers!
Yes, I should have re-emphasized that fact, too. It was Barbara, not Teresa, that got all flustered about me taking pictures of henry.

Although, Teresa told me that when she first met Henry, she couldn't even look at him because he was so cute.:rotfl2: (but that was a long, long time ago ;) )

Yay for your day improving :cool1: Sounds like you got the "magic" you were after :)

EEEEEEEEKKK about Sawyer's prince charming outfit :(
I know, isn't that sad? The only way to fix it would be to buy all new trim and sew it on by hand again. I am NOT doing that. :(

What great fun you all had! You've got some really wonderful photos! Poor Sawyer but that photo is priceless!
Thank you! I am so happy we caused my son great emotional trauma, just for a photo op! :rotfl:

God help the outcasts indeed! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

So you've seen us at Disney? LOL

We are quite the hicks, don't ya know.
(Shameless plug, shameless plug...shoot, now I actually have to WORK on that trip report.)

That pic of Sawyer, and the ensuing witty exchange with the stepsister is hilarious!

Very nicely done report! Off to read T's.

:rotfl: No, but I'd love to see you at Disney!!

Thanks for the warning about the Sawyer/Prince Charming pic! Yes, I would have spewed coffee all over my computer - it's hee-larious!!!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: See, I'm always looking out for my readers! ::yes::

Now, everyone, take a gander at this!!! I've gone MULTI-MEDIA!!! I added a video to the TR, way back in post 142. But, I'm going to add it here, too. It's a fascinating video of us exiting Snow White, courtesy of Corey.

Fascinating Indeed!!! My grandmother- what a big nose you have!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That kid is funny! And the look on your face? Priceless!

Okay, I wasn't going to do this. I was just going to let my little pre-trip trip pre-trip report sit in cyberspace all by it's lonesome and hope someone stumbled across it, but I got lonely...I posted the first section last night but realized it needed to be in the PRE-trip report board so I moved it this AM.

Let's see if I can give you guys a link...http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1870958

Lets see if that works. I don't have the time to figure out how to make it look cool, so that will do for now, right:confused:

Very cool!!! I added one to my "Parting of the Ways" segment of my TR too!

Hello again. I haven't been around much lately because I've been doing a lot of last minute wedding stuff. Its in 19 days! :scared1: Hehe, but I finally had a little time to dis and catch up on my reports and I must say I am glad I did! Your tr is so awesome and funny! Poor little Sawyer being teased and taunted by the evil step sister. That was a very funny picture and I think my favorite thus far. I also loved you teasing the stranger in line at pirates. Although you did lie to her...there is that drop. Lol. I bet she was rather suprised when that happened. I know it freaked me out as df had forgotten about it on my first ride. :rotfl: Sorry that you didn't have good service at BBB that stinks and then again with the photopass pictures. Such a bummer, but like you said 1900 park faire was a great time so it weighed itself out for the day. I can't wait to hear more. I'll have to try to come back more often since my list of little stuff to do for the wedding is getting smaller. :) Until next time! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I was just noticing I didn't reply to your last update and I didn't want to feel like I was ignoring you. :guilty: I love how you & teresa are so different but the same in your writing. I know you guys don't share your writing until it is posted so it just shows how close you are that you use some of the same phrases and such when you tell your story! But it still new and interesting to read it from another perspective!
Can't wait for more popcorn::

No problem! I'd hate to be responsible for a sticky computer (or, just wet if you don't put sugar in your coffee).

Hey LOVE the video....:rotfl2: ...hope there will be more video clips to come. Hahaha:goodvibes
Yep, we've got more video, all of it fascinating!! I let Corey use my video camera while we were there because I hate taking videos. I like to be "part of the action" and not stuck behind a camera.

Fascinating Indeed!!! My grandmother- what a big nose you have!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That kid is funny! And the look on your face? Priceless!

He is a pretty darn funny kid, isn't he?

Oooh...I'll have to check it out!

I am honored that you took time out of your wedding planning to read my TR! I'm so glad you enjoy it! It takes a long time to write this stuff, so it's always good to know that people like reading it!

I forgot about the little drop, too. That poor woman!! She ended up being on a different boat from us, but I would have loved to see her face (or hear her scream, since it's in the dark).

Good luck on your wedding! How exciting!!! Feel free to post a few pictures of it right here in my TR, if you'd like!! Remember to take time to have fun at your wedding! I was so worried about organizing stuff that I didn't let myself have fun! Oh, and don't let "helpful" people start taking down the decorations a few hours into the reception. :headache: People will start leaving. Oh, one more thing, don't let your uncle cut in line in front of you just because he's hungry. You may hold resentment toward him for 14 years....not that I would know anything about that. :rolleyes1

You're right, it's funny how we can use almost the exact same wording to describe something! We don't even talk about our TRs in advance, except to say where we're going to end our installment. I'm so glad you like our TRs!!! You are such a sweetie!!

We wanted to get to Epcot before rope drop so we could walk right on Soarin'. We planned to leave the house at 8:00am.

Around 7:50, I went outside to see if everybody across the street was ready and I saw that mom had the kid's Beaches 'N Cream outfits. She told me to run back in the house and get Tessa's because we were going to BnC today. Yay! I got the outfit and we all waited for the rest of the family to get in their cars. We were on the road by 8:07- not bad (pathetic that I know the exact time, isn't it?)!

We made good time and pulled into the Epcot parking lot 25 minutes early!

DSC08039_640x480-1.jpg

I must admit that I wasn't all teary like I was at Magic Kingdom. Epcot is my least favorite park. That's not to say that I don't love it. But, it is at the bottom of my top 4 Disney parks list.

We were driving right behind my family when pulling into the parking lot when the guy directing traffic motions Henry and I into another parking area that was about a mile away (literally, I swear) from where the rest of our family parked. Henry got his grump on and just decided to park at the end of the next row next to Teresa and Brian. Another parking CM came and told us we had to park a mile away. Henry told him, in a very cordial voice  that the rest of our family was parked right there
3.gif
and we weren't going to be seperated from them. We were NOT having a repeat of yesterday! So, they let us park right up front of Teresa's row in the "reserved" area. We were feeling very special while we unloaded the stroller. :snooty:

We were parked right next to the monorail!

IMG_0442_640x426.jpg

Here's Sawyer's first look at the BIG BALL!!

DSC08040_640x480-1.jpg

After this picture was taken, he started pointing and saying "BALL! BALL!!" He doesn't talk much, but when he saw his favorite toy in gargantuan form, he got REAL excited!

We didn't need to take a tram, so we just started walking. When we got to the entrance, Mom said she had to use the bathroom. Everyone decided they needed to use the bathroom before we went through the gates. Most of us were done quickly and we waited for Dad and David.

SANY0445_640x480.jpg

And we waited...

SANY0446_640x480.jpg

Fifteen minutes passed, and they still weren't out. So, we waited some more... Since we're waiting, please take note of our t-shirts. I made everyone in the family a matching t-shirt with their name on it, surrounded by Disney characters (I got the designs off the DISign board, but made most of the names myself because the woman didn't e-mail me back- it was fun!). Except Henry, that is. I had to do the 'ol sneak-attack
(buy a matching colored shirt and don't tell him he's going to match). He flat out refused to wear a shirt with his name on it, WHAT-ever!

SANY0448_323x480.jpg

We sent poor Corey in to check on them at one point. He only had a noxious odor to report.

Teresa suggested that most of us at least go through the turnstiles and wait for them on the other side to save a little time. We did that. Rope drop came and went. Then, Dad meandered out.

Sawyer ran around like a wild boy while Teresa and family got their photopass pic in front of the big ball.

DSC08042_360x480-1.jpg

A few minutes later, David came out, too. You see, the problem was that he only "kinda had to go". Too much information? Yes, I thought so, too... That's why I felt the need to share this information with all of you, my dear friends!

I tried to drop my irritation as we headed over to Soarin'. I was doing a pretty good job of it, I think. After all, you gotta go when you gotta go (or even when you kinda have to go).

When we got to Soarin', it was a 20 minute wait. Not too bad, but not as good as 0 minutes (yeah, 2 months later and I'm totally over my irritation). We actually had a little fun waiting in line. Henry took Sawyer over to ride Living With the Land while we waited. Oooh, you are some lucky folks because I've got LINE PICTURES!!!!

Someone must have said something HEE-larious!

IMG_0444_640x426.jpg

My arm on the left, Teresa on the right, Arminda smack in the middle.

IMG_0446_640x426.jpg

I think I'm saying "KINDA had to go?!?":rotfl:

IMG_0447_640x426.jpg

Dad was being Goofy.

DSC08045_360x480-1.jpg

Soarin' was absolutely wonderful!!

The only other time I rode it, I was by myself (Tessa couldn't ride and mom stayed with her). It was fun, but I couldn't help but think "Is this it?" I had heard SO many people say they loved it, so I was dissapointed.

But, this time, I was sitting in between Teresa and Tessa, in the same row as a bunch of happy, squealing nieces. We had SO much fun!! We were loud, we were obnoxious, we waved and said "HI!" to Tinkerbell. Totally magical!! We giddily skipped off the ride.

Tessa exclaimed "I LOVED IT!!! I want to ride it 6 times in a row!!!" So, we grabbed some Fast Passes on our way out.

We met up with Henry and he told me he had seen some Disers! I asked how he knew and he said they were wearing lime green and had those "stupid little Mickey heads". People, I can NOT tell you how excited this made me! Teresa and I were practically beside ourselves, imagining meeting a whole group of "our kind". We were on our way over to The Seas, so we didn't see them. But, we would keep our eyes peeled!

I had never rode the Nemo ride and didn't realize it was the only way to get into The Seas. COOL! I thought it was really cute. It helped that I had heard so many people say it was lame. So, I wasn't expecting to be thrilled.

Jellyfish!
DSC08050_640x480-1.jpg

Look at how enthralled my family is!
DSC08048_640x480-1.jpg

Sawyer and Courtney were sitting next to me, their jaws slack with amazement!
DSC08049_640x480-1.jpg

Tessa couldn't believe her eyes! Look, her BBB hairdo is still concreted in place!
DSC08051_640x480-1.jpg

Do you sense a wee bit of sarcasm with my use of captions and explanation points? Perhaps a little...

We wanted to make it to the first showing of Turtle Talk, but since we didn't make it to rope drop, and had to wait 20 minutes for Soarin', we didn't make it to the first show (Bitter? Me? No!). We looked at the fishies and such while we waited in the HOT waiting area.

DSC08052_640x480-1.jpg

This was right before Sawyer started his day-long meltdown. He started getting whiny and anxious. But, we were in a cramped little room, waiting to be let in to see Crush, so there wasn't much we could do.

After 3 hours (or so it seemed), they let us in to the little benches to see Crush. I'd heard so much about this attraction and so many people LOVE it. So, I was excited. Yes, just setting myself up for a let down...

Tessa and the other girls seemed to be enjoying theirselves on the floor, where they were isntructed by a friendly CM to sit on the GREEN carpet, not the BLUE carpet, the GREEN carpet ONLY!! THE GREEN CARPET!!! Frankly, all the carpet looked blue to me. :confused3

Crush entertained us while Sawyer tried to squirm off my lap and run away. Oh such fun! I was busy trying to keep Sawyer calmed down when Crush asked us all to raise our fins. Mom, Teresa, and I were in the front row and didn't do it. So, Crush directed his gaze at us and said "Aren't you ladies in pink shirts going to raise your fins?" We sheepishly did so. How embarassing, called out by a TURTLE!

We exited Crush's turtle talk, which I found to be not so entertaining, but that's mostly because of trying to wrangle Sawyer.

Sawyer was happy for a while, looking at the manatees. But, then his melt-down continued as we moved on to other fish. The kid just wasn't happy. I assume it was because he hadn't slept so good the 2 previous nights.

Right around this time, we saw the last of Lydia's BBB bun. :sad2: So long, fair bun!

IMG_0474_640x426.jpg

Tessa's bun was soon to follow. She had been complaining that it was itchy all day. So, once Teresa took out Lydia's, I took hers out, too. Tessa's hair was sticking up all crazy and she got really upset. She was whining and saying "I look stupid!"

Sawyer also went into TOTAL meltdown phase at this point. I was totally exhausted from wrangling him and I just sat on the floor with him while he cried. I think Henry then took him out and the rest of us soon followed.

Poor Henry took care of Sawyer again while we used our Fast Passes on Soarin'.

Up Next: How DARE You Call Yourself a McDonalds!?

As we entered the Land again on the upper floor, we came to a woman taking a picture of another woman in front of the sign for the Circle of Life show. Apparently the woman was a Pumba fan (as am I, but the sign was just a SIGN). She wanted a REALLY GOOD picture of her in front of the Pumba sign, so they held up their arms for us all to stop while they blocked the entire, very wide, aisle. We were happy to oblige while they took a quick snapshot. However, we weren't so happy to oblige by the 5th picture, as they were moving on to picture 6. I told them "Hurry up and take the picture and then we're walking in front of you." I kept my word, as their glares followed our group to the escalators. REALLY!

We hopped in the fastpass line and cruised our way on up to the front. While we were in the queue, we spotted them- THE REVERSE DISERS!!! There was a group of people wearing lime green shirts with white Mickey heads on them. I can't remember if they spotted us or we spotted them, but we got into conversation with them. The woman said her brother was a Diser and he told her about the disboards. But, she was NOT a Diser, nor were any of the people in their party. She seemed to think he was a little nuts because he printed out a HUGE book for her full of Disney tips. He sounded pretty normal to me! :confused3 :rotfl: I can't remember her brother's name, but if you have a sister who went to Epcot with a large group of people, all wearing lime green, on May 5
6.gif

Teresa snapped this picture of the unsuspecting group as we exited the ride.

DSCF2867_640x480.jpg

It was lunchtime, so the family whipped out some rather soggy looking sandwiches and sat down to eat them. Henry and I looked at the map and noticed that there was a McDonald's nearby. So, we planned to meet the family at "the Figment Ride" after lunch. We went off in search of this restaurant. We figured we couldn't miss it because it was a rather large rectangle on the map. See, the Refreshment Port there?

Epcotmap.jpg

It was starting to get REALLY HOT, so we were imagining a nice, air conditioned McDonalds. However, what we found was a little outdoor stall that should be embarassed to call itself a McDonald's! Pitiful! Not worthy of a large rectangle at all!! As if that wasn't bad enough, they only offered chicken nuggets, fries, and flurries. NO BURGERS!! Yes, go back, read it again, NO BURGERS!! Just that squashed up little lump of processed meat they like to call "chicken" nuggets. UGH! I'm NOT a fan! So, I ended up eating fries for lunch. I would have gotten a flurry, but we were going to Beaches 'N Cream later on. I refilled our water bottles in the drinking fountain (yes, bad idea, I know that NOW) while Henry got our food. Then, we tried to find a shady spot to sit. Soggy sandwiches in the shade were starting to sound better and better. We found a semi-shaded bench and ate our sorry lunch, sweating the whole time. ICK!

I was starting to get crabby. I mentioned earlier that I don't do heat well. I also was feeling pretty exhausted and awful by this point. The day started off good, but then the last few days started catching up with me. I have an autoimmune disease called antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. The simple explanation is that it causes blood clots. But, it does all sorts of other nasty, "non-official" things like making me really tired and making my muscles scream in pain. I was feeling it by around noon that day. If you feel compelled to read more about it, there's a link to my story in my siggy.

Tessa found this branch and vowed to keep it forever.

DSC08063_640x480-1.jpg

Not sure what happened to it...:rolleyes1

Hey! I just noticed that she still had her bun in that picture! I could have swore I took it out in The Seas. Apparently, I am losing my mind.

We headed over to Figment (or Journey Into the Imagination for you purists) to meet up with the family. We never actually said WHERE we were going to meet them. So, we sat outside of the ride and waited for a while. Dad came out eventually and told us everyone was inside. So, we went in there and found the kids frolicking about.

DSC08067_360x480-1.jpg

Yes, that's how Courtney frolicks, apparently.

Tessa and Sawyer joined in the frolicking.

DSC08069_360x480-1.jpg
DSC08065_360x480-1.jpg

Sorry for all who are fans of this area (I can't even remember what it's called), but it is in GREAT NEED of updating! WOW! We can put funny props on our pictures and e-mail them to our friends! Whoopee!! Now THAT'S something I can't do at home...

We started heading over to the Figment ride when we decided to check into getting fastpasses for Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Henry, Teresa, and some others went out there to get them. They took a long time and we weren't sure what was going on. I still had my grump on and snapped at Teresa about something when she came back. I don't remember what. But, I feel guilty about it. Sorry Teresa  I realized I was being a jerk, so I made up my mind to snap out of it.

Corey said he couldn't remember ever going on this ride, so he was really excited! He actually really liked it! He's so stinkin' cute!

Dad, Mom, Sawyer, and Barbara seem to be enjoying it, too.

DSC08070_640x480-1.jpg

Next up was Honey I Shrunk the Audience. We hadn't done this one in a while. There is a new pre-show that was pretty cute. I believe it was sponsored by Kodak or something. But, we had to stand up on one of those awful, slanty floors and my legs were already killing me. So, I didn't enjoy it.

Sometime during the preshow, Sawyer chucked his 3d glasses and we never found them. But, he was really good throughout the whole show. He sat on my lap and only jumped when the snake looked like it was coming out of the screen at us. I soon remembered why we didn't do this show very often. Can you say DATED? When did Honey I Shrunk the kids come out, anyway?...
21.gif
... I just checked, it was 1989. I was a freshman in high school, for goodness sake! I don't think most kids have a clue what that movie is. I believe the teenage son in the movie was supposed to look somewhat cool in his big glasses and tight-rolled pants. But, as my fellow TR writer and dear friend, DisneyMom5, pointed out, it's better than Captain E-O (or whatever it was called).

Here's a picture that I am sticking in because it's been a while since we had a picture and I don't know when it was taken.

IMG_0477_640x426.jpg

I wasn't planning on going over to the countries this day since we had so many days to explore. But, we thought we'd go check some of them out anyway. I was getting SOO hot. We were all (well, everyone but Teresa) sweating up a storm.

Look at my poor boy!

IMG_0503_320x480.jpg

We saw a little place where the kids got little packets of seeds to color. Pretty cute! We sat down for a while and let them color. I had a nice conversation with the very friendly John from the UK. We discussed our mutual love for Cadbury chocolate. Cadbury mini eggs...yum
20.gif

IMG_0488_640x426.jpg

On the way out, I noticed a plant and the sign next to it. I HAD to have my picture taken with it.

S6300153_640x480.jpg

Here's a closeup of the sign.

S6300154_640x480.jpg

In addition to being a fretter, my mom is INCREDIBLY curious! She has lots of questions about lots of things. It's really very sweet. She saw this little house and really wanted to know what was in it. So, she started asking me lots of questions about it.

IMG_0490_640x426.jpg

I don't remember anything about any of the countries since it's been almost 20 years since I've been to that side of Epcot. So, I didn't have any answers for her. Poor Mom, I don't think she ever did find out what was in that little house.

We took our hot, sweaty selves over to Canada next.

DSC08071_640x480-1.jpg

I was running on fumes at this point, but I really wanted to have a good time. So, I tried, I really did! We took a few pictures because it was perty.

DSC08072_360x480-1.jpg

My cute Mom.

DSCF2868_640x480.jpg

Apparently, I wasn't the only one running on fumes because it was suggested we just go over to Beaches 'N Cream instead of seeing all the countries.

Up Next: I'm ALMOST Bleeding!

On the way out of Canada, Tessa fell down the stairs and scraped up her leg.

S6300162_640x480.jpg

She was crying and I was feeling pretty bad for her because, as she stated "I am almost bleeding!" Someone walking by acted like she was being a big brat and said "She wouldn't be crying if they weren't babying her." Grrr.....
22.gif

Teresa and I took the girls into the bathroom in the UK to change them into their Beaches 'N Cream outfits. Teresa made these beautiful outfits and I appliqued ice cream onto the front of them. So, it was a team effort.

When we came out, Sawyer was playing by this fountain.

DSC08078_360x480-1.jpg
DSC08080_360x480-1.jpg

He was soaking wet!

DSC08082_360x480-1.jpg

I didn't mind because, as you recall, he was perty darn hot before this.

IMG_0513_640x426.jpg

I didn't find out until about a week ago (after I got Corey's pictures) that he had a little help getting wet and it wasn't from the fountain! Here's the evidence.

IMG_0516_640x426.jpg

Someone (probably Henry) is dumping a water bottle on his head! :rotfl:

Tessa wanted to talk on the phone just like Jacob (Stephres son did this in her TR).

DSC08076_360x480-1.jpg

Then, Teresa pulled out some surprise ice cream cone "pretties" for the girl's hair. Tessa was pretty excited about them, but not so much about getting her hair combed.

Lydia shared her sentiment.

After the girls were prettied up, we went to the International Gateway, or "The Back Door to Epcot" to get on a boat.

Here's a picture of Teresa walking over the bridge. This was on the back of both of our shirts. But I will show a picture of her back since it is fat-roll free, unlike mine.

Sawyer started whining again and was just not a happy boy. We got on the boat and he went into full meltdown mode.

IMG_0531_640x426.jpg

Fortunately, he was sitting with my mom, so I could pretend I didn't know him. I just yelled "Hey lady, can't you control that kid?" I got some looks from people that didn't know I was with her, but that's half the fun, isn't it?

We arrived at whatever resort Beaches 'N Cream is at (forgive me for not knowing my high priced resorts) and had the girls pose for some pictures wearing their matching outfits.

DSC08085_640x480.jpg

Hey, I said POSE girls, not look at the flowers. Who do you think you are, enjoying nature and such on vacation?! Sheesh!

DSC08089_640x480.jpg

DSC08090_640x480.jpg

DSC08093_640x480.jpg

That's better!

As we were walking along, we passed THE VORTEX OF DEATH!!! We gave it a wide berth and talked about our dear friend Stephres and poor little Megan.

I must say I felt like quite the dork walking through this nice resort, pushing our cheapo strollers, wearing our matching t-shirts, walking past these fabulous people sunning themselves by the pool. Eh, actually I didn't really care. But, it was funny!

We finally arrived at Beaches 'N Cream. Look at these super-cute tables! They look like little ice cream cones!

DSC08094_640x480.jpg

Teresa went in and told them we had a party of 15. They said it would be 20 minutes and to wait outside. At least it was shaded.

DSC08095_360x480.jpg

Sawyer was STILL crying. He really just needed a nap ASAP! But, our rental house was 1/2 hour drive from the parks and we planned on leaving after BnC. We couldn't skip it, we'd made matching outfits, after all!!

So, we just tried to entertain him. Henry took him into the nearby arcade and let him play for a while.

In considerably less than 20 minutes, they called us in to our tables. Teresa and I eagerly anticipated the comments we would receive from the people that worked there on having 5 little girls in matching ice cream cone outfits. And we anticipated, and we anticipated. But, those comments never came. They didn't say a word about it. We were pretty dissapointed.

We promptly ordered 2 kitchen sinks. Henry didn't seem too pleased with this decision. He didn't realize the kitchen sink was THE REASON we came to BnC. We explained this to him and he rolled his eyes and played along.

Brian played along without any coaxing from his lovely wife. He's a good Disney-lovin' boy!

IMG_0553_320x480.jpg

Sawyer was STILL crying. So, I took him into the arcade again while we waited for the ice cream to arrive. He didn't stop crying in there, but at least it was loud enough that I couldn't hear him. :thumbsup2

By the time I checked back into BnC, our kitchen sinks had arrived!!

IMG_0572_640x426.jpg

However, it didn't look so much like that when I got there, it looked more like this.

IMG_0578_640x426.jpg

Yeah, the kitchen sink looks impressive, but it's mostly whipped cream and most of that had "melted" into a goopy, runny mess by the time I got to the table. There isn't too much ice cream in the kitchen sink, but they put every single topping they offer on it. So, there was an "interesting" array of flavors. Okay, I'll just say it- it was GROSS! But, it was fun eating out of a kitchen sink anyway!

Tessa had no complaints!

IMG_0569_640x426.jpg

It would have been a lot more fun if Sawyer wasn't still in meltdown mode. I thought the ice cream would help, but he wanted to eat directly out of the sink instead of his bowl. Arminda tried talking to him about this, but to no avail.

Up Next: Your Name's Pat You Say? Hmmmm.....

The final straw came when Sawyer hurled his bowl full of chocolate-ish goo right at Uncle David's leg. I felt really bad for David because it got all over his pants and shoes. I got up to take Saywer out again. Then, suddenly, Mom to the rescue
5.gif
. She took Sawyer and said "Heather, you stay in here, I'll take him out for you." I just love that woman!
10.gif

That was such a weight off my shoulders. While David went to try and clean up his shoes and pants, I got to sit in blissful peace and goof around with my family.

Teresa and I decided that 2 kitchen sinks weren't enough, so we ordered 2 more- one for each of us!

IMG_0583_640x426.jpg

IMG_0587_640x426.jpg

In case you believed that, shame on you!

We finished up at BnC and went out to relieve poor Mom from Sawyer duty.

IMG_0593_640x426.jpg

David was out there, pretty much cleaned up and not looking upset about being covered in chocolate.

IMG_0592_640x426.jpg

I don't remember Tessa doing this, but at some point she blew bubbles and she looked pretty darn cute doing it, too.

IMG_0595_640x426.jpg

IMG_0596_640x426.jpg

These next images are very disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised.

Look at my sister, hamming it up for the camera. Notice that her child is in distress and she is doing very little to help her.

IMG_0597_296x480.jpg

It gets worse...please avert your eyes if this type of thing bothers you...

IMG_0598_305x480.jpg

Lydia has FALLEN TO THE GROUND yet Teresa is still hamming it up for the camera, while she casually holds her fallen daughter's arm. Disgraceful!!

Eventually, we started making our way back to the boat dock. I snapped this sweet picture of Henry trying to comfort Sawyer. He's such a good daddy.

DSC08115_360x480.jpg

While waiting for the boat, Henry decided to try some fashion-forward headgear on the children.

This kept Sawyer entertained for a minute. But, then he was back to the crying.

Then, Teresa had the brilliant idea to put Sawyer in her stroller, which reclines. He INSTANTLY fell asleep.

SANY0462_640x480.jpg

Yep, I'm a regular braniac! My poor little Bean Boy.

We rode the boat back to "the backdoor to Epcot", where I took this picture of my devestatingly handsome husband (because Barbara said I should take lots of pictures of him).

DSC08124_360x480.jpg

I had an ongoing problem with our park tickets. They just didn't work half the time! So, I had a problem getting back into the park. The CM kept trying to pass them through the reader and then kept wiping them on his/her shirt. Yes, I said his/her. To this day, I still have no idea if that CM was male or female. He/She even had one of those androgenous names, like Pat. It was intriguing and gave me something to think about while he/she kept swiping our tickets.
5.gif

Henry and I had planned on going back to the house at this point, but since Sawyer was sleeping we thought we'd explore a little more.

Soon after crossing back into Epcot, we saw PLUTO!! Sawyer LOVES Pluto (or Lulo, as he calls him). I was sorry he was sleeping, but I was REALLY glad he was sleeping at the same time.

We got the autograph and picture, of course.

DSC08128_360x480-1.jpg

We walked over the bridge again where I snapped a few more pictures.

(this one's for you, Barbara)

DSC08138_360x480.jpg

Right around this time, we notice that we've lost Brian and Arminda. Teresa took off to look for them and told us that she'd catch up.

We wandered back into UK and there was MARY POPPINS! How cool! I had made Tessa a Mary Poppins dress and I was kicking myself for not bringing it with us for a quick change. Tessa got in line to see Mary. Suddenly, we look down at the bench beside us and there we see ALICE!!
So, Tessa got out of Mary's line to chat it up with Alice. Alice complimented Tessa's outfit, and said she loves ice cream.

DSC08139_360x480.jpg

DSC08141_360x480.jpg

After Alice took a picture with Tessa, she motioned to Henry and said in her very nice English accent "You are welcome in the picture, too." He smartly declined her advances. But, I thought it was pretty cute.

Tessa finished talking with Alice just in time to jump into this picture with Mary. We told her we'd come back for Mary's autograph when she was wearing her Mary Poppins dress.

Up Next: The Test Track VIPS

The other girls got their picture with Alice next. She was quite impressed with their outfits as well.

DSC08149_640x480.jpg

I thought it was just too pretty back in the little garden and the pathway leading out.

DSC08153_640x480.jpg

We walked along and made our 2nd Pluto sighting with a sleeping Sawyer. I took a picture for him to see when he woke up.

DSC08154_640x480.jpg

We were 1/2 looking for Brian and Arminda because we all wanted to go on Test Track together. We eventually found him.

S6300172_640x480.jpg

When it comes to Test Track, my dad is a celebrity. That stairway behind my dad is the magic VIP stairway to the front of the line!

SANY0467_360x480.jpg

He is a retired GM employee, so he gets VIP treatment on this ride. All he has to do is go to a little booth, show the CM his card and tell him how many are in his party. Then, they hand him VIP passes. These are no ordinary fastpasses. They take you STRAIGHT to the front of the line. I have never waited in line for Test Track- ever!! Oh yeah, we're just that cool!
1.gif
We also could get as many of these passes as we wanted. So, I pawned Sawyer off on whoever would watch him while I rode! Yee-haw!!

Tessa, Henry, Mom, and I were all going in the same car. Tessa was nervous because she'd never ridden Test Track before. So, she couldn't make up her mind whether she wanted to ride with Daddy or with me. So, we changed places several times in the queue area. But, we were always riding two and two. The woman in line behind us kept sighing and sighing every time we moved. Finally, she said "GEEZ!!! WHAT are you guys DOING?!" I was so caught off-guard by her rudeness that I shot right back at her "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!!!" It wasn't affecting her or her seat placement at all, so I have no idea why she cared where we sat. Guess who I got to sit by...

image136_640x426-1.jpg

Yep, that's her in the blue shirt. :headache: About 1/2 way through the ride, I was feeling SOO uncomfortable sitting next to her that I apologized for snapping at her. She probably didn't deserve an apology, but I don't like to feel stressed out and it helped me get over it.

Anyway, I LOVE this ride and it's the only ride that Henry likes at Disney. So, we ended up riding it three times in a row!

image138_640x426-1.jpg

Tessa was very excited to ride with Aunt Teresa. This is one of my favorite pictures of our trip.

image135_640x426-1.jpg

Barbara looks a little skerred, dontcha think?

image134_640x426-1.jpg

We all got our fill of Test Track and we headed on out. Sawyer had woke up in a GOOD mood! Hooray for the magic reclining stroller!

So, we decided that the kids would go look at the butterflies. We stopped to cool off first.

DSC08165_640x480-1.jpg

This is Henry's "Why aren't you in here doing this instead of me?" look.

DSC08167_640x480-1.jpg

Teresa, Sawyer, and I made a bathroom pit stop while the rest of the family went to see the butterlies. As I was finishing up changing Sawyer's diaper, someone poked me in the back! I turned around and she flashed her LIME GREEN MICKEY HEAD!!! Teresa and I were positively giddy with excitement! Our first Diser sighting! She said her name was Marsha, or Marsh0013. She mostly hangs out on the adult and solo travelers board. She was very sweet and didn't act like we were TOO big of dorks for getting that excited to meet her!

Next up is my favorite part of the whole day. Mom took Sawyer to play in the little playground. So, Teresa and I had a little time to just sit on a bench and talk. So far, we hadn't had much time to talk because we'd been so busy. But, we just sat there, chit-chatting, laughing, being sisters.
1.gif
Yes, I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Silly, but true. It was just a special moment. I love that sister of mine.
3.gif

Henry and I were pretty much pooped after that and we decided to call it a day. We started heading out of the park, when we noticed that Spaceship earth had NO line! Henry didn't really want to ride, so he stayed outside with Sawyer while I took Tessa in. The last time I took her on this ride, she slept through the whole thing!

She really loved it and I enjoyed all the new stuff! She was quite disturbed by the guys trying to "kill the elephant" and she talked about that almost as much as the "massacre of the trees" from the previous morning.

DSC08177_640x480-1.jpg

The new ending was so much fun, seeing our heads on the cartoon bodies, talking about the house of the future. She thought it was hilarious.

DSC08179_640x480-1.jpg

Corey took these pictures as he was leaving the park and I thought they were pretty cool. I just love the ball without that stupid wand and hand!

S6300202_640x480.jpg

S6300197_640x480.jpg

We were so tired, but we had to stop by Walmart for a few more things on the way home. Henry went in while I stayed with the kids. Tessa fell asleep, but Sawyer was WIRED! I let him out of his car seat so he could jump around in the van.

DSC08184_360x480-1.jpg

He also went over and patted his sleeping sister. He just loves her.

DSC08185_360x480-1.jpg

When we got back to the house, I tucked the kids into bed and got out a book to read them. As I read, I had their rapt attention. It hit me that even with all of the cool stuff they saw in the last 2 days, Mom is still pretty entertaining. :cloud9: I gave my little darlings kisses and hugs and went to bed, absolutely exhausted.

We were taking the next day off while the family went to MGM (yeah, it'll always be MGM to me).

Up Next: Here Sawyer, eat this, it's GOOOOOD!

:goodvibes This installment was so fun!! (Even with Sawyer being tired) I love Epcot!
Can't wait to read more! I love all the pictures!

Loved your update. Those matching outfits for Beaches and Cream are so cute. I can't believe no one there had anything to say :confused3 . Poor Sawyer, I totally understand about that. It took my son when he was around 2 three days just to fall asleep in the stroller. I understand why you apologized to that rude lady at Test Track but I don't think you should have. She was wrong.

Wow what a great installment Heather...love all the new pictures too. I think it was funny how you "tricked" your sweet ole DH into a color-matching shirt, unbeknowst to him!!:goodvibes

That is so cool about the VIP tickets at Test Track. I will have to tell my DH as his Dad worked for GM too.

Okay...and I just have to ask...how come you did not take a reclining stroller with you to WDW??? Are you crazy?? LMAO??!!! :lmao:

Love the update! Those ice cream outfits are so cute! I don't think I ever saw the finished product before this!
